I spoke with Stephanie on the phone and she took the time to answer all of my questions and give me a very detailed information. I went for my appointment today and met Stephanie in person, as well as Imani, who was also great. She assisted me with paperwork that was not available to complete online, which is easiest for me. She took the time and was very patient to fill it out on my behalf. I was so impressed because I arrived to my appointment very early. I was taken back by Mike, who triage me and got me prepared for my appointment ahead of schedule. Mike was very personable, yet professional and helpful. Finally, I was seen by Dr. Lee and I cannot say enough about him! His bedside manner is phenomenal, and he is incredibly knowledgeable. He explained so many things to me, intelligently and professional professionally, but also in terms that I could understand. I have a lot of medical anxiety, and he was patient in addressing all of my concerns and answering all of my questions without being condescending or making me feel bad for asking. Even after I asked him to be more gentle, he continued in the same manner, which left both of us distressed and alarmed. No elderly patient should ever be treated with that level of disregard for their comfort or vulnerability. Based on what we experienced, I strongly urge others especially blacks or those with elderly or fragile family members to proceed with caution. The way my mother was handled was completely unacceptable, and I hope this message prevents anyone else from going through something similar.. My mothers insurance paid for the hearing aid. Secondly my mothers hearing aid had to be repaired. This company Billy Jo manager gave my Mothers hearing aid to another Doris Williams who had dropped off her hearing aid around the same time for repair and said my mother and I had picked it up. I requested copies of the papers. The signatures are completely different. I had to go to the office to ask Billy Jo to call the other number who happened to be the other Doris Williams. She requested that the other Doris Williams come in on Monday snd said she would get back to me after Monday. What is her plan to give my mother a hearing aid that has been in someone else's ear. Office is unprofessional. Manager didn't even apologize for mistake. I called the other number on my mothers information and she confirmed her name snd that she has a hearing aid that does not work. To top it off manager Billy Jo had asked my mom to pay an additional $500 to replace hearing aid . How many other elderly people have been scammed. I called her manager Tony Hahetporn several times and he never called me back. Not really sure if this is her manager. The number she gave me has her vm on it. Shady business. Plan to report to Maryland Insurance Commissioner. It had taken 5 months and I had to take off from work to deal with this . My 87 year did mom still does not have a hearing aid

Overall, Dr. Wheat and her staff made me feel very comfortable during my second visit. I had a procedure done that I was a little nervous about and they really calmed my fears which I really appreciated. I would would highly recommended Dr. Wheat for services. Despite apparent weight loss, swollen lymph nodes in neck & other contributing symptoms, she caked it up to be "stress-related" and recommended rest. Not even two full days later, I visit the ER for the same progressing symptoms. A mass was found near my heart. A week later, my biopsy results reveal an acute cancer...and I'm admitted to UMMC for immediate chemotherapy treatment. I do not recommend. Listen to your body, and fight your way through until you're priority.
