My husband had an experience with a doctor today that lacked bedside manor and brushed off his complaints. No factors were taken into consideration for why he was there...his symptoms, working around chemicals, lack of smell and taste. She was a rude and non-caring doctor. Before that the aide or nurse called him back and he got on the scale. She asked him to read the numbers. He said I don't work here, basically stop being lazy. Her response was well my back was to the scale. How about you do the job you are assigned. Patients come to the doctor to be heard of their ailments and concerns. If you do not like your job...then leave. Working and paying patients do not want to come into this environment when not feeling there best. So now he has to get a second opinion because of her failure to listen to the patient. The receptionist was great. When she heard his complaints, she did not seem surprised. Must be a common theme. I have just experienced the rudest doctor I have ever witnessed in my life - Dr. Solowski. My child was up all night crying from ear pain and has a history of ear infections, so naturally I went to the ENT, and the first question from Dr. Solowski is, "Why did you come here instead of the pediatrician?" She clearly did not want to treat my child. Why become a doctor if you don't want to help people? I preceded to ask questions about my child's newly diagnosed middle ear infection; about the necessity of antibiotics and if there was a wait period that we could benefit from to see if the ear infection cleared on it's own - and Dr. Solowsky said, "Do you have a medical background?", "What medical study can you site that states that antibiotics aren't always needed?", "Why did you come here if you want to know if there are alternatives to antibiotics?" The tone of the questions were all very negative and condescending. Rather then answering the questions it was more of just insult. I went to the appointment because my daughter is in pain and I want to do what I think is best for her. Why wouldn't I ask questions to be better informed? When I left the appointment with my kids my daughter said, "Mommy that Dr. was so mean!" I was going to give 1 star for this review but I did call the practice to provide feedback from my negative experience and the staff was very apologetic and responsive. I also had a positive experience with the nurse and receptionist. If you go to this practice, avoid Dr. Solowski! read more

After tolerating the rude staff for a number of years, my hearing deficit progressed to the point of needing a hearing aid. I went to the appointment to discuss fitting and pricing. I was led to believe that my insurance would cover the entire price and left pleased. Never once did the audiologist explain that they didn't actually run the specific model through the insurance before I left, so we only fitted one model. I received a call after the calendar year reset on my insurance and was now told it would cost almost $2k for the only model shown. If the doctor had their staff actually run the model before I left I wouldn't have been upset and may have found a more affordable option. You would think this would be standing operating procedure to give their patients accurate information in making a possibly expensive purchase, but clearly that's not the case. Do yourself a favor and find a kinder, more professional practice. read more

Visiting new doctors can sometimes be a bit overwhelming for my 7-year-old. However, not in this case!! Ms. Diana was very pleasant and patient with our son. She directed questions about his symptoms to him and allowed him time to answer. Ms. Diana used hand gestures to demonstrate all of her actions beforehand and always asked for our son's consent before touching him; which is very important to do with anyone. I received the bill from my visit and was blindsided by the $609 charge for Nasal Endoscopy. My provider did not inform me of the cost. I had no idea it was going to be such an expensive procedure ( I have a high deductible plan so I owe most of it out of pocket). The CNRP simply said let me see what your nose looks like inside and I said ok. The whole process took a few minutes for her to look up my nose. Next thing I know, it is a $609 charge and I am responsible for $442 of it. I was charged a "long exam" fee of $300 on top of it - of which I owe $223. I was also charged $300 of which I owed $223 for a "long exam" for a FOLLOW UP appointment on 12/2. Both examps were less than 30 minutes each. These fees seem tremendously excessive. I contacted them. After 3 weeks, they said the charges were accurate and offered no other help or explanation of why I was charged so much. I also sent a letter explaining my concerns and demanding to know why I wasn't informed of the charges and why I was charged the "long exam fee" for both visits and received no response back. read more

Precautions are taken before you enter by filing out a questionnaire outside. Inside there are plexi glass barriers, seats are spread out. Front desk employees are fast, professional and courteous. The nurses, staff and doctors have all been professional, efficient and take every precaution recommended; face shields, masks, gloves, gowns etc..... lots of PPE. Small to medium parking lot. As it could fill up quickly. But seemed to be ample. read more

However, Dr Thomas Lee needs to be respectful to elders and be pleasant to his patients. I finally broke down and saw the fine folks here. I know I have sinus polyps. Known that for almost 20 years. Chose sickness over surgery when a teen. Had enough as an adult. Called and met with Dr Lee to start. While we know surgery is endgame, he came up with a game plan. Do the allergy testing. Figure it all out first then move forward. He is great to work with. No guilt about waiting so long. Also saw Dr Bhugatt for allergies. She's great. Given the timing and what dr lee said she told me to skip the skin test and do blood testing. (Because it doesn't matter what I'm allergic to if I can't breathe through my nose. ) Looking forward to working with both of them to finally be well. Great practice with so many services. read more

This practice treats patients with complete disrespect. I have tried for over 2 months to schedule allergy injections. I have encountered constant road blocks throughout the process. They seldom return phone calls. When a patient hangs on the line for 30 minutes or more, they encounter lip service apologies, but no real assistance. Telephone messages left for call back are usually not returned. I believe the doctors are highly qualified and proficient. The problems exists due to administrative incompetence and a front desk culture that does not respect patients. I selected one star because the review would not accept a selection of no stars. While I would recommend the doctors there and they have taken many precautions for COVID19, I didn't love receiving a bill with a no show fee for an appointment I definitely canceled. I can never reach anyone on the phone when I call - I will call 4 or 5 times a day and no one ever picks up - and when I got sick in December and didn't want to chance it, I called to cancel my allergy shot appointment. Well after calling 3x and no one picking up, I left a voicemail saying that I would not be able to make my appointment. Six weeks later and I'm getting hit with a no show fee and now I can't even reach anyone to resolve this. Very frustrating! read more

I am debating going to John Hopkins because I have been trying to schedule a speech pathology appointment and I need a referral to be released from ENTAA care. I left a message three weeks ago , called again because I have yet to hear back and when I do hear back the person on the other end is very rude. I stuck out Entaa care for a couple years (I was a patient of theirs since the Glen Burnie location was at their old office). I have slowly watched the practice deteriorate. 1. The first issue that crept up was when the medical staff informed me that they won't be adding my mental health diagnosis to my chart because it "doesn't matter." The tech told me that. I spoke personally to Dr. Baghat about the issue. 2. I am required to use a name-brand nose spray because the generic makes my nose bleed. My doctor consistently calls in the generic form...after four years still. This year marks year four of the prescription needing to be refilled and the insurance informed me Dr. Baghat called in the generic. I'm your patient for four year. Do I matter? Do you even know me? How many years do I have to be your patient until you take decent, standard care of me? 3. The front desk staff at the Glen Burnie location have reduced me, and a couple others to tears. Sheila is great, but the other front desk workers make it their day job to project their miserable circumstances onto their clients. And the poor man they made cry in front of me today...seemed to agree. 4. John's Hopkins updates their check-in procedures like they have nothing else to do. For the past 5 months, every visit has had a different flow and requirement. Where I sign in changes every time I visit. Today I asked the woman at the front desk what the official procedure is. She told me "Go to the other desk. NEXT!" Like wow. You have ONE JOB: be kind. be informative. She was neither. 5. Last year I was very ill with an infection. Dr. Solowski told me to call on-call if it got worse. It did, and I called, and was greeted with a screaming, angry Dr. Solowski who commanded me to go to patient first because she is trying to sleep. WHAT?! I hope she was sleep-walking because this behavior is so unprofessional. She allegedly has a rapport for being sassy and short. I can confirm this is true. 6. Prior to my septum surgery, I also informed Dr. Solowski that I needed an additive to my anesthesia for my surgery because anesthetics make me very ill. She did not add the medicine I requested. Five hours post surgery, while I was still vomiting, my mother who is a RN recommended the medicine that helps me. They refused until I started to keep them after closing. Once I was puking after they were due to "go home", they administered the medicine and I was instantly, no longer nauseous. What a waste of my time. What a waste of vomit. 7. Today, I was in the Glen Burnie location. I witnessed another gentlemen getting sassed at by woman at the front desk. I walked out. No allergy shot administered. I am exhausted of pouring my resources into a practice that consistently provides sub-standard care. I am so tired of not only the disrespect from the employees, but the consistent malpractice provided by John's Hopkins Medical Centers. It isn't difficult to provide excellent care...especially when it is your business CLAIM. I am exhausted and am happy to begin my search for any allergist/ENT by ANYONE who isn't from John's Hopkins. read more

I was referred to ENTAA care after my primary care physician detected a nodule on my thyroid which was later confirmed with an ultrasound. During my consultation, the doctor reviewed the ultrasound report, but did not show me any of the images. She proceeded to quote a guideline that stated that all nodules over a certain size should be surgically removed regardless whether there were any thyroid issues or any indicators of cancer. The doctor proceeded with a biopsy, extracting material using four needles in my neck. Despite this, a week or so later I received a call indicating that not enough material was collected and that her recommendation was to proceed with surgery anyway. I went back to my PCP who disagreed with surgery and referred me to another specialist. This specialist sat me down, explained the nature of thyroid nodules and even showed me the ultrasound images and walked me through why it did not appear to be risky or call for an urgent need for surgery. He recommended redoing the ultrasound in 6 months and observing for any changes, at which point the biopsy could be redone using ultrasound to pinpoint and be sure material was being extracted that would provide a conclusive test result. Even after their inconclusive biopsy, I was still billed over $600 by ENTAA care and their practice administrator's only response to my disputing the amount due was that a large number of biopsies come back inconclusive. I would recommend seeing a more reputable specialist for your ear, nose and throat issues. read more

We saw an allergist for my daughter and the allergist blatantly ignored the patient history and made up some notes. She insisted there was no way to test for certain foods (the doctor we moved in to after this in fact tested for these items.)The staff was belligerent and all but refused to book appropriate oral challenges. They'd give conflicting instructions and expect all of the instructions to be followed. I then saw the same allergist, and we spent almost the entire appointment discussing her failures with my child's care so I didn't get to have an appointment for myself, basically. We had to take a second child here for audiology and the receptionist was on her phone and made us wait until she was done with her text or whatever. Totally unprofessional. Perhaps we will choose another location next time we have an appointment for audiology. We have since chosen to use another provider for allergy. read more

Long story short....they have you see two doctors at the same time to give the patient the impression they are there for one visit. However they bill separately so you incur two co-payments. The billing department just kept referring me back to my insurance company and was not willing to be helpful by any means. My daughter had the same exact testing completed at another practice with one co-pay and one visit. I do not know how the doctors or practices are but with this type of sketchy billing system I would be weary. read more

I see Dr Lee and have been for meniers disease for many years now. Hes always exceptional and always has information to share. Its not a pin point illness where meds always work but weve both been patient in trying them and learning what works best for me. Id highly recommend Dr Lee. The audiologist recommended I go to VA for my hearing aids when my insurance wouldnt pay and she was a godsend. When your earn nose and throat, including hearing , and even allergies give you problems this center has all the physicians in one place to care for you. read more

The office here is very nice and well staffed. My doctor was efficient and kind but didn't leave me feeling 100% safe in her hands. She seemed very casual about the whole appointment. I decided to go ahead and have them do the surgery until the scheduler called. 1. They only do surgery in Odenton. 2. My doctor only did surgery every other Thursday. 3. To have another doctor in the practice perform my surgery I would have to do another consult at their office. 4. I wouldn't get my surgery time until the day before. As someone with a child not in daycare, a husband that would be taking off work and has a demanding schedule, I told them forget it! I found someone else with better patient options. I'm pretty happy with ENTAA Care. Granted, I've only seen Dr. Pearl for allergies, but I'm happy with my experiences. The staff was friendly and efficient. Everyone who deals with you has a tablet computer to enter all of your information, vitals, stats, etc, right into the database. They use electronic prescriptions, so I just showed up at my pharmacy and the prescription was waiting for me. It makes all the difference to me that this company/practice makes use of available technology to save time and money and reduce errors. (It just gives a bad impression to me when doctors still have folders and papers and hand written notes overflowing everywhere in this day and age.) I saw Dr. Pearl who was great. He was personable, explained the what'ss and why's about everything in terms I could understand (while not being condescending) and answered all of my questions happily. The nature of the allergy testing I underwent involved returning 3 times after my first visit. While he was nice to not charge the copay for the 2nd of these 3 visits, I did have to pay for the 1st and 3rd, which were pretty quick and didn't involve anything that I couldn't have done myself. I'm not saying such things should be free (we have to make it worth the doctor's time to treat even simple things, and they have huge costs and spent many years in school, etc), but for cases like this, more of a "package pricing" model might have had a better customer experience reaction. However, overall I'm very happy with my whole experience and will definately go back next time I have an allergy problem. (as well as ENT, since they also do that) read more

Be forewarned, this is a profit making enterprise, with little regard for what is truly in the best interest of the patient. When advice is given to get a hearing aide, you should be able to trust that you are given the best information and that the clinic is offering their services to help in what is your (the patient) best interest. Instead, our family was truly taken advantage by being advised to buy the very best and most expensive aide on the market, and that insurance would cover most of it. Not the case, we find out when it arrives, just that they found out new information and had no time to inform us. We could have changed clinics, changed plans, but now only left with (in their words), "take it or leave it." They take the profit from the device, we leave the clinic. read more

Honestly, if I went down the list of what I liked about how he solved my problem, you'd swear I was an employee of Entaa Care. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity - because they rely on a bored, distracted and/or just not very bright teenager to make their telephone appointments. Whoever it was on the phone gave us the address "113085". This address was repeated back to the girl for confirmation - TWICE. Compare that number to the actual address. You bet your sweet patootie we got lost ... and missed the appointment. This was an appointment that I had to take a day off from work for. I did not and will not make a followup appointment - not after the extreme inconvenience they have already put me through for such an easily avoidable mistake. I obviously cannot count on them for more important things (like my freaking HEALTH), and I shall take my business elsewhere. If Entaa reads this - mother taught me to be nice, but that girl is an idiot. She obviously does not care about the fact that she represents your business to the public. I have been going to Dr. Lisk since 1985, when he was located on Chevrolet Drive in Ellicott City, MD. He did my first sinus surgery, Mrs. Arlene was the allergy nurse this was the best. When Dr. Lisk moved his office to the Columbia Medical building. He gained another doctor to his practice this was Dr. Tatar. He also started the 1st audiologist. If you called to make an appointment you were not put on hold for 30 minutes nor the person hung up on you. Since Dr. Lisk, expanded his growing practices notice you had to wait, etc., same for audiologist, plus I'm the only original patient left from Dr. Lisk office when I saw him in 1985. The staff was very nice, friendly, etc., but now glad that I don't have to come out to ENTAA Care, only for my audiologist. In 1997 I needed to be seen by Dr. Lisk as Dr. Tatar was booked solid I was schedule with another doctor, diagnostic me with some other problem that never ring a bell. I was to be seen due to sinus infection. Well never went back to this doctor & when I did finally get an appointment with Dr. Tatar for the sinus infection it was so bad that it cost me another sinus surgery. Dr. Tatar left the practice with Dr.Lisk and open his own practice and what a big difference compare to ENTAA. I stop getting allergies shots as it was no longer helping me and my body was saying enough. When I was informed by one of the staff at ENTAA Care that Dr. Tatar had left and was informed that he open his own practice I went to Dt. Tatar he is the best, takes his time, explains things to you. I called to make an appointment with Gretchen or any audiologist either at the Columbia office or Glen Burnie office, and was informed by the scheduling office at Glen Burnie, that Dr. Paige was not available until June 9th, took that appointment for my hearing test, but needed to been seen due to ongoing infection in my left ear from the ear mold rubbing it per Dr. Tatar. I informed the scheduling desk I prefer either Columbia or Glen Burnie office to see audiologist. I was giving an appointment for 05/12/2016 @ 10 am in the Columbia office. When arriving I was asked are you picking up something or dropping something off. The staff whisper's in the other staff ear while pointing their finger at you talking about you. I highly thin this is in acceptable, rude don't think this should be allowed. Informed the receptionist that I was here to see audiologist to have my ear mold cut back. This is when I was told you do not have an appointment with us. I was informed by Deb well I have to call my manager about this. This is when I was asked which phone number did you call on to make the appointment as they did not have a record of the call on my home number, so gave Deb my cell phone. When done she informed me that it was Piney orchad office. I said I do not know where this office is not o mention will not make it. I said I said for either Columbia or Glen Burnie office. Gretchen Paige audiologist is one of the best audiologist that knows how to give you hearing test, program your hearing aid. After this experience,,will not be back. As this will be my 2nd time, I have left this audiologist. I only came back to Gretchen as Dr. Tatar ask me too. They can't keep their staff, as I have seen the turn over of the staff in my 31 years of going to ENTAA not like the old staff that was there. read more

I went to a consultation visit with Dr. Thomas Lee about a problem that I was experiencing. I expected to only pay a copay. However, without my authorization or knowledge, he apparently performed some type of procedure and charged me $300 for it. When I complained to the billing person, she said that I had signed something that effectively was a blank check for him to do whatever he wanted and charge for it without pre-authorization or even telling the patient how much it costs until afterwards. IF I COULD PICK A NEGATIVE STAR I WOULD HAVE!!!!!!!!! I took my son to see Dr Solowski at ENTAA Care in Glen Burnie MD for his allergies. Dr Solowski reviewed my sons chart from his other doctor and said he needed to have surgery. Dr. Solowski did my sons surgery and everything seemed to be going fine and he was healing good. WELL HOW WRONG WAS I. My son had said that he could feel something in the back of his throat so I took him to his primary doctor to have her check it out. I thought maybe it was a scab from his surgery or something!!!!!!! NOPE!!!!!!!!!! Dr. Solowski left a foreign body in my sons nose/throat. ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS????????????? I immediately called Entaa and told them what my sons doctor had found and they couldn't get me in until 3:15 pm. So first off not only did you leave something in my son after surgery but now I have to wait to bring him in? I go to her office, if you have ever been then you know when she comes in the room she always has her computer on wheels with her! NOPE not this time she comes in and says " so what seems to be going on"? You left something in my child after surgery that is why I'm here! She said OK lets take a look, She gets her gloves and tongue depressor and light and looks and what does she see? A long green/blue string in the back of my sons throat! She looks at me and says it is something left from surgery, we have never had this happen before, I've heard of this type of things happening but I've never had it happen.........I'm sorry this happened, we count before and after every surgery to make sure nothing like this happens......WELL GUESS WHAT IT DID HAPPEN!!!!!!! She told me we could do 1 of 2 things 1. is we try to numb his throat and I pull it out. 2. is we have you come in tomorrow morning and we lightly sedate him and pull it out, it will take less then 5 minutes. We tired the in office throat numbing stuff but that was just not working, as I'm sure you could already guess at this point my son is very upset, worried, afraid etc of whats going on since he knows now that something was left in him during surgery. We decide to take him in the AM to have this things removed. Before we left I asked her what exactly was that string and she said that on the other side of the string was a piece of gauze that they use in surgery. I then said " So the smell I'm smelling is not from my son's throat healing its from the gauze that's stuck to the string inside of his nose/throat?" she says yes ma'am I'm sure that's most likely why your still smelling that smell. Oh OK Great so my son is walking around for a third week with bad breath because you left something in him that doesn't belong and now its turning gross and causing my child to be upset and self conscious about his breath when its not his fault IT"S YOURS!!!!!!!!!!!! We go to the surgery office the next morning and we go back and get him ready to go back. Once again they go it with me and tell me light sedation by gas and in and out procedure 5 minutes. Well it wasn't 5 minutes. after about 15 minutes the Dr. Solowski comes out and says that she got the string and the gauze out but she can see that a piece of string was missing. Wait What? She said that he may have pooped it out but he may not have so she wanted permission from us to scope his throat and nose to be sure everything was out that didn't belong. My husband and I said yes, she did tell me that she was going to have to put him a little more under, that's it nothing about any other medicine she had to use on him or nothing. She goes back and about 10 minutes later another nurse comes out to tell me that they were having a hard time getting an IV in him. I asked how many times have you already tried? She says " well he's sleeping he doesn't know"! I look at her and get a little closer then I should and said I DON"T CARE IF HE"S SLEEPING I KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING AND ITS NOT OK. I then say again " HOW MANY TIME DID YOU TRY?" She looks away and says 4 times!!!!!! I'm sorry 4 times? Look lady I was a vet tech for over 4 years and I've worked in surgery and if you don't get it after 2 try's then someone else doe's it. She goes back, a few minutes later another nurse comes out to tell me they got the IV in. Then about 20 minutes go by and I'm already pissed, sad, hurt, worried, a million other feelings so I walk over to the window and I told the nice lady behind the window that I needed her to go find out what was going on with my son this was supposed to be a 5 minute procedure that has now been over an hour. I continued to state that if they did not let me back there or open the door I was coming through the F$%#$%$ window and I'll call the cops myself! Within a minute I was being taken back to talk to the doctor and to see my son. Been going to this practice for over 20 years off and on. Seen by; Dr.'s Buchalter, Pearl, Lisk, then in the last couple years Dr. Monica Bhagat. First, and foremost until the last 2 years my experiences with the doctors at this practice has been ok at best. Mainly because the doctors just don't seem to have that bedside connection with their patients. Until I was seen by Dr. Bhagat. She is just so connected with her patients, remembers her patience very well. To prove that point, I always hear her get my file folder off the door and immediately come in without reviewing my chart. I've been going to her only a few years. Outstanding, and kudo's to her. All the other doctors I have seen before, I would hear them outside my door fumbling through pages of notes in my folder and could have care less who I was once they entered. (Like) I was just another patient. Dr. Bhagat also enters my room with a pleasant smile and always cheerful. [This is a mother of 2, wife, household manager, and doctor.] Who can do that every day? Perhaps the 'older doctors could take notice? It may improve their work day as well? The staff at the desk are even nicer and happier than those doctors. Please guys don't waste your time. Saw Monica Bhagat for our 10 month old son with allergies and it was so unfortunate that we had to pay $200 for absolutely nothing. She did not add any value and did not help us figure out what was going on with our son. I am not a physician but even I knew everything she said. Long story short, drove 30 minutes and paid $200 just to hear that our son may or may not grow out of it. FYI standard visit cost is $280 and they do not offer any reduced prices for paying out of pocket (Johns Hopkins policy). read more
