Mark did a great job on my two cassettes. The audio transfer is super clear and better than I could have expected!

Mark was able to repair and transfer a DAT that had been damaged by a different tape transfer service on the east coast.

We been visiting this store for a long time with my husband and kids…read more We love collecting Nintendo video games and Nintendo consoles. This time we visit Retroactive because I was in search for some games for my Nintendo DS lite. I found 2 games and I was so happy. The price was reasonable and i love it. We also speak with the owner and he was so nice and helpful. We were talking about games and we notice that he really loves what he is doting his store. We really recommend this store. I am so glad that we have this store near to our home. You can also find vintage vinyl records, PlayStations games, Xbox games and more. We enjoy our time and our kids were so happy.

Steve, the owner and music aficionado is eager to help and answer any questions. From vintage gaming to records across all genres, this place has it all and is quickly becoming a Suisun City favorite and Bay Area day trip destination. Retroactive also hosts shows in their space which are a ton of fun and bring the community together. We left with an Xbox storage component to increase the memory of the console. It was a great value at half the cost of what we found at online merchants and we were happy to support a local business. We also couldn't resist the store merch and got a sweatshirt and t-shirt!

It's a great little shop with a solid selection, and up until recently I would have recommended it without hesitation. But something I witnessed this past December has been bothering me ever since, and I can't really ignore it anymore. While I was in the store, I overheard the owner, Dana, refer to another employee--who appeared to be special needs--in a way that was honestly shocking. The exact words were: "look, that's my r****d. I make him do whatever I want." The customer they were speaking to looked visibly uncomfortable, and I was too. I've tried to let it go, especially because I've otherwise had positive experiences here, but it's been sitting with me for months. Not only is that kind of language deeply offensive, but I also have a family member who is special needs, and hearing something like that felt like a slap in the face. I'm not posting this lightly. I still think the shop itself has a lot going for it, which makes this even more disappointing. But respect matters, and I hope this is something that gets seriously reflected on.

Nice to still see physical book stores…read more On my few days off, back in the day, I used to spend it here reading (and shopping) in the City of Alameda. Way better than being in a library. I think you still have a location that I used to frequent in Cupertino, CA...? Anyway, this location is as large but "darker." My wife & daughter spent some time here reading and shopping today. Ambiance - A decent size location. A similar size compared to my Alameda and Cupertino locations. Clean and organized. Restrooms, you need a code; I did not use it. Service - Self service today. Price - Above average, but worth it for a physical atmosphere and service. We like to support. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1886 when you started as Arthur Hinds & Company. I'm impressed that you have approximately 700 locations still!

I also love the staff recommendation displays--they've introduced me to some fantastic reads. Overall, it's a welcoming, well-stocked bookstore that's always worth a visit.

We ordered a mocktail and cocktail and both were beautiful and refreshing! Our entrees were great tastes of Asian fusion cuisine - our favorites being the Thai meatballs on papaya salad and the Korean mini rib lets. They were both flavor bombs! Definitely a fun place to come back to in future!

THE PATIO: Nicely shaded with mesh sail cloth, so no risk of sunburn and you won't need your sunglasses. Spacious seating. THE DRINKS: probably why "Bar" comes before "Kitchen" in the name - Gintonica - made with the bar's "featured gin" of the week (or maybe month, or until it's gone). Refreshing -- like it's supposed to be - Love Bizarre - The name certainly is. This mezcal-based cocktail with cucumber, mint, shiso and adornments is great for a summer eve. - Misspent Youth - another gin-based cocktail, but with a sweeter tilt offered up by the addition of galiano, pineapple, and coconut - think Hawaii sans rum. THE FOOD: a little hit or miss for us; maybe explore more of the menu next time - Griddled Crab Cakes* - were mushy and almost tartar-like, and the ham hock flavor overpowered the crab. Won't re-order - Mezze Plate - Best plate of the bunch; flavorful and spicy. Would do this one again - Beef Brisket Tacos* - Too salty and the brisket was tough and stringy. Fuggedaboutit. * like most of the offerings, plates were served up as two per order THE SERVICE: Great start, luke-warm finish Polite and friendly greeting at the door and seating by the hostess. 5 Stars. The server seemed like more of a canned act. Polite, but not too much in the welcoming category. Seemed a bit in a hurry. We've had worse experiences, but I was hoping for something more than functional. 2 1/2 stars for that. Better luck next time.
