I had a 4K Sony projector in for warranty and by chance I met Gary at his facility. We talked about home theater systems and I mentioned that I had the projector coming for my movie theater. He said he'd love to earn my business and to give him a call when the unit arrives. I called him on a Wednesday and he scheduled for between 9 and 10 the next Friday for the install and calibration. So while I didn't want to wait 10 days for the install, his travel time costs and hourly was less than the company in Scottsdale, his facility looked professional, and he seemed knowledgeable. So comes Friday. At 9:53 I texted him and asked if we are still good to go. Nothing back. At 10:10 I texted again. Crickets. I called at 10:12 and he answered, explaining that he was held up on a project this morning can we reschedule for " a couple hours". I had plans and asked I'd 2:00 pm could work. Nope. No call at before he was supposed to be here. Pretty unprofessional. I will call Oasis Luxery Smart Homes in Scottsdale like I should have done in the first place. I have used these guys in the past for an upgraded radio and backup camera and I think the service and installation was as good as it gets. The front desk people was helpful in selecting the products and the installation was done on time and looks clean. After the installation I got a walkthru of what was done and how to work everything. I am considering adding a CB radio (I have one) and I want an antenna and the radio installed and look professionally done so I will definitely be seeing if there is anything they can do for me. read more

Got home theater? Look no further and go to these guys for your Audio Visual needs. Nate and John were my installers and they did a fantastic job. Installed was a home theater system in the living room with a 77" OLED, 47" OLED in the den, and a 65" LCD master bedroom. The patio is also a pre-wired for speakers later on down the road. Nate is meticulous in his install and pays particular attention to the finer details of his work. His work is clean, perfect and a "can do" attitude and cheerfulness really makes Audio Plus a cut above others and their latest computer programming for remote fine-tuning gets me a fast a diagnosis and quick help. Nate is always there for me and he's my go-to guy should I have an issue and just yesterday he dropped by to check my audio/camera doorbell and made an adjustment plus he updated all my equipment while he was here. Gary the owner is a fair/ generous man with his company, my soundbar for the home theater was to be delayed so Gary upgraded my soundbar at no cost! Now that's a business I respect an admirer! My experience was 180 degrees from the two bad reviews. I can only imagine, since Audio Plus has been there for a while, that the bad reviews are the exception to the rule. First I called and spoke with Matt, who told me they would be happy to sell me the materials to do my own install. When I got to the store Matt helped me. He walked out to my Jeep, confirmed where I should route my power wire through the firewall, measured so I got enough wire, but not too much, picked out the other items I would need, showed me how one of them connects to the wire, gave me some free hardware to connect the power cable to the battery, and then he gave me a 10% discount. He told me why, but I didn't get the reason. What I got: Just the materials I needed and no more, better quality than in a kit (especially the power cable), a little bit better price, personal service and advice, a friendly experience with Matt and the other employees I encountered. I can't begin to tell you how wonderful Gary and Ashley were in taking care of my home audio needs. When I originally called Audio Plus, they were fully booked out for several weeks, but Ashley put me on a waiting list. I never expected her to call me within 2 days to tell me that she remembered that I had out of town guests arriving and that she could squeeze me in that same day to come to my home and provide me with an estimate. Gary and Ashley's professionalism and attention to detail were amazing. Not only did they come to provide me with an estimate, they decided to stay and do the job for me that same day, which took several hours. The feeling of trust was immediate, and they have a "forever" customer in me. Additional notes: Gary and Ashley noticed that we don't wear shoes in our home. They took off their shoes before entering my home, even though I told them it was okay to leave their shoes on! Also, I had called several other large audio stores in our area before finding Audio Plus. Two of them never called me back and the others were rude when I spoke with them. We have nothing good to say about our experience with this business. After getting an initial quote, we were "up sold" to much more expensive equipment. The installation was shoddy. The installation was done in several trips and never done by the same people. After a few months the expensive receiver, accessories and universal remote quit working properly. The IR connections fell off and when reconnected did not work. Two attempts at requests for service were totally ignored. No call backs. read more

We will never come here for future business and do not recommend this place to anybody. We bought our own deck and came here to have it installed. The associate never told us that I would lose all steering wheel controls and auxiliary capabilities. The Bluetooth on our deck does not work and the radio stations barely come in. The radio and CD player are the only functions that work when the deck has multiple abilities. They also told us that this is a cheap deck which is why nothing works, this is the same deck they sold 6 months ago. Bad customer service. Now I have to pay again to have this hooked up properly with another company. We already paid close to $300 just to have this hooked up by Audio Plus. read more

I was told 2 hours on install, ended up taking 5. The sales guy said he would check the box to make sure it fit. He didn't check and the tech didn't check till all the wiring was down. They ordered me another box which ended up not fitting as well. The manager was real rude after he got off the phone with me. There was bad cuts and a broken panel that wasn't in the way. Cussing and bitching in the bay. Total of 8 hours spent there and bad service. Sucks because I went there to get a clean set up, not a janky set up. Wouldn't recommend at all read more

The selection of audio equipment for my truck was great, with a variety of prices to fit my budget. The customer service was fantastic, they really cared about helping me and getting me the best deal for my money. I have a new Toyota Tundra and they took special care with the installation not damage anything and make it look like a factory install, and they accomplished that which is worth 5 stars. We had a little issue wth the antenna, they never made excuses, were so friendly, always smiling, and got it fixed. Many family had an independent small business in Prescott for 40 years, and they provided the same quality care and merchandise as we did, and really cared about the customer. This is why I always try to shop our local independent businesses first, because of the great people at Audio Plus. They have a customer for life, thank you Audio Plus for taking care of me and being part of the Prescott business community, this is how the small business fights the big box people, they are a 5 star example. We purchased an iphone/ipod hook up for a 2008 Cadillac Escalade with a cost of around $300 for parts and labor. After a few weeks its connected poorly. They did more work on it. No improvement. Next appointment they made, we showed up and the part had not arrived. Fourth appointment, we missed. We took it to Phoenix and had an iSimple Gateway installed which works perfectly. I recently contacted the owner of Audio Plus and told him about my continued discontent that I had no choice other than to write a poor review unless he did something to make good on our loss. To my err, I proposed a $400 refund & he correctly pointed out that it was $300. Nonetheless, not only did he not offer any recompense, he threatened to sue me if I wrote a bad review. So now, not only am I compelled to write this to recommend avoiding Audio Plus, it is more important to stand up to someone who threatens legal action upon the freedom of expression. read more

I, too, recently had an awful experience at Audio Plus in Prescott, AZ. Not only did I not receive good customer service, but I was also threatened by the owner, Gary. January 2013, Gary suggests a Kenwood system, he stands behind them and they are the best device, in Gary's opinion. I purchase the device and wait 2 hours for installation. Then, just a year later, the device does not work properly. In order to have it fixed, Audio Plus must uninstall the unit and send it back to the manufacturer. Another 1 1/2 hours of uninstalling and they broke part of my dashboard. When I call Gary, upset, he doesn't get why I'm upset. They don't initially take responsibility for the issue, it's an older car that's brittle due to the AZ sun...the car has just come to AZ from a garage in NE. Just say SORRY, WE'LL TAKE CARE OF IT, and take responsibility for your actions. Isn't the customer always right? That is why I went to a locally owned business instead of a big box store. But when the local guy can't give good customer service, what's the point? Yes, Audio Plus will replace the broken part along with the 'fixed' audio device, but I no longer feel that they care, they'll do a good job, or they are an accommodating business that is worth patronizing. I'm sure it's difficult to keep up a small business in Yavapai County, but it you can't stand the pressure, close your doors. read more

Terrible service.We bought a Onstar mirror from Audio Plus and had it installed a while ago and the installer didn't install it right.Had to return to have them fix it,still didn't work.This is the best part,we set up that appointment a few days ahead of time and when we drove close to 50 miles to this appointment,they told us there was no appointment set ,there's nothing they could do for our family.Started driving home and the representative that set up the appointment got back from lunch and apologized for the mistake and we drove back.Had owner contact us apologizing after the fact as well and wanted to make it up with a decent discount on my next purchase.Came in to get a quote on a $1,200 purchase and the manager was only willing to give a $100 discount.Btw Onstar could never get that mirror to ever work.Waste of money and time.We'll not be coming back with this type of service and quality of work. read more

These people are completely incompetent and the customer service is terrible. My fiancé brought his BMW in to have Sirius installed and when we picked it up the speakers wouldn't stop making this loud noise whenever we hit a bump and there was no bass. They swear they did nothing but connect an antenna but the car did not do this before. We asked them to fix it and they couldn't figure it out. They ran tests and the speakers are fine. So we went to pick up the car and the dash was taken apart in the garage but there was not an employee to be found. So my fiancé stood at the garage entrance and called for someone and he was met with, "Hey you can't be in here!" We drove away completely dissatisfied 10 minutes later and the car told us there is now a problem with the airbags and the seatbelts. What?! We drove back and the dude stared at the dash, restarted the car a few times, opened and closed the hood, and threw up his hands. Bottom line: do not bring your car here because they have no idea what they are doing, and when we get this fixed they will get the bill. read more

Customer service is horrible. I spent about 600 dollars on a new head unit and payed them to re hook up my amp and sub. It took there tech about 5 hours, where as I could have probably done it quicker. The next day my battery in my car was dead. I replaced my battery and alternator myself which cost about 500 bucks. So now after replacement my battery is still dying on a nightly basis. I take it back to audio plus 4 times and they can't figure it out. The last time the owner told me he wasn't going to do anything for me and that I should stop coming back because they didn't do anything wrong. I was offered no compensation or a deal to resolve the issue. I have no clue how they are still open and claim they are customer oriented? Well I took it to audio adrenaline and they found the issue within 5 minutes had me out in about a half hour and hardly charged me a thing because they were embaressed by audio plus and don't want to give this profession a bad name. Would not send my worst enemy here go to audio adrenaline if you want a professional job with professional people. read more
