We brought our son's VW Jetta here to replace his stock stereo for a new Pioneer stereo with Bluetooth, USB & AUX. I had called a couple car stereo shops to try & see which one had a better deal. He asked very intelligent questions to try & determine what would best fit our need & was very knowledgeable when giving answers to my questions. I went to get my dash cam installed. I had seen friends get their dash cam installed in a way which hides the power cable. I wanted the same thing done. Went straight to Audio Planet. Explained what I wanted. 45 minutes later they installed my dash cam. They set the date, programed if, and synchronized it. They did an extremely clean job. Was very happy and satisfied. It's been years since I've had any work done with Kevin. He worked on some other cars and I was always satisfied with the service he provided. When I got a different suv he was no longer at his old location. It took awhile but I finally located him. He gave me a reasonable price quote on several options and for sure I'll be coming back to get my suv fixed up. Okaaaaay so long story short... my aftermarket touchscreen pioneer stereo kinda took a dive on me. Purchased from Best Buy, still under warranty but not thru them. Contacted Pioneer, they sent me to an authorized service retailer in Lawndale. They would not service my stereo unless it was removed from my vehicle. Best Buy kinda gave me the run around. Took it to Kevin, he pulled it out for me at a really good price. Took it back to Kevin at Audio Planet and he hooked it back up for me. Now here's what I love about this shop, I've had my amp and subwoofer sitting in my trunk for awhile. Prior to locating Kevin other places wanted me to dump my stuff and purchase a whole new system. I knew my stuff bumped even though it was old. So I just kept waiting (don't really know why). Well here it is in a nutshell. Kevin the owner will go out of his way to make sure you are happy. I was recommended here by a friend. Had some problems with my old CD player and instead of messing around trying to fix wires etc... I decided to shop around for a new system ended up getting a rear camera, new DVD, speakers and the works to put it that way. Kevin was very accommodating took my truck in short notice. Gave me a better deal than the last 2 places I checked with. I also had some other wiring problems to make the new system work which Kevin upgraded for free. Who doesn't like free lol very happy. Few weeks later noticed that they severed the heater wire on my rear window. I don't even know how I'm supposed to go about fixing that. I sure as hell ain't going back there though. In their defense the bubbles seem to have worked them selves out however it's still all kinds of dirt and stuff in between the layers. And they still treated me like white trash that they expected to rob them and the work they did reflected the status of that label. read more
