Decided to splurge on a new dash cam and got referred to this spot by a friend who praised them for impeccable service in installing dash cams and hard wiring it. I was able to make an appointment over the phone with ease and thankfully also got my dash cam and hard wire kit just in time. They quoted me the same price for labor as my friend and they immediately got to work. I stopped by to grab some food at a nearby Peruvian spot, but there's also plenty of other options nearby that's just a short walk from the shop. After finishing up my lunch, I went back to the shop and waited a bit. I was shocked to hear the dash cam install and hard wiring took only 40 minutes! Crazy efficient and maybe I just got lucky with the timing. I paid up and tipped them well for a very clean and quick job. Everything worked perfectly without any issues. Kevin is freaking awesome! Brought a 2-way Viper remote replacement for my car and no matter how many times I tried, it wouldn't program. These types of remotes are expensive and hard to find because they've been discontinued. Went to Viper's website and they listed Audio Planet as one of their main dealers. It was daunting at first, but Kevin was able to get it to work. I plan on returning to his shop for electronic installation for my vehicle in the future! read more

Kevin the owner is very friendly, accommodating, provided great customer service. He is knowledgeable. His gave me a great price to install a dash cam and hard wired. Not only did he install it but set it up. Another person I used to install my front and rear camera with hard wire didn't offer to set it up. The other person didn't ask me which low voltage protection to use. I had to go back to the person and have him change it to the 12V afraid that my other car's battery would not be able to start and he again charged me to change it. I was really disappointed with the other person of him charging me to change the low voltage protection. As for Kevin I would highly recommend him and his business. So I pull up to the shop and an old Asian guy comes out of the office no greet no smile no nothing first red flag. He reparks the car so I can't see him working on it second red flag. He didn't even know how to open the cover to the fuse box compartment, ends up scratching the heck out of the plastic part of the dash and of course denies that he ever did it. It's a brand new 2025 Jetta, just got the car and he says the scratches were already there right where he was trying to pry it open with some bamboo stick. I'd give 6 stars if I could - I received outstanding customer service from Kevin at Audio Planet. I purchased an after-market touchscreen stereo for my 2007 CR-V from Crutchfield, along with all the necessary hardware. I took the lot out to the Best Buy in Pacoima for installation. To make an epic story short, the tech there, Juan, had no idea how to install the stereo; insisted it was the "wrong" equipment; and refused to speak or listen to the tech from Crutchfield who was able to walk him through the entire process. Extremely frustrated, I took a chance with Audio Planet on the strength of their extremely high rating on Yelp, and I was not disappointed. Kevin didn't bat an eye at the stereo I handed him; he did, however, inform me that the plastic dash piece surrounding the air controls could possibly break during installation. I went home to investigate costs, and Kevin not only answered my questions over the phone, looking at webpages I was texting him to ensure I had the right piece, he had already done his own research, and even continued to research and call me a second time to confirm the piece I needed. I was extremely impressed by this initiative, he didn't need to do that work but he did and went the extra mile. I took my car back the next day, and after giving me an insanely good price, Kevin had the stereo, steering wheel controls, and backup camera installed without a hitch in 2 hours. AND he was able to remove the dash piece without any breakage at all. Everything works perfectly. Audio Planet completely deserves their high rating. The other day I came to get my radio installed with some speakers, and this guy didn't do a good job my radio didn't work and also he sold some speakers that they only cost about $20 on Amazon and he was selling it to me for $80 each, not including the labor yet it ended up being over $300, plus he didn't do a good job and I showed him the prices in Amazon, yet he still sold the speakers at that price. I understand if they're a bit more expensive because it's convenient and he's trying to make some extra money but the way he was acting was just extremely unprofessional. He made me wait like an extra 2 hours because he was working on someone's else car even though he started working on mine first. All the reviews that are on this account must be fake, bought.
