I've spent thousands at this location thanks to Mike and my own personal addiction to my car. On my last purchase after waiting a week for time to drive up from Sierra Vista, it turns out the other shop sent the wrong dash kit for my vehicle which to say the least irritated me. The guys went ahead and installed the speakers and new amp to replace my old once but were not able to install my new receiver. The manager Matt stepped in and when I came back up a few days later I decided to buy a 4 channel amp to run my door and rear speakers, Matt threw in the amp kit and installation and rcas for free and charged me cost for wire. This made a huge difference and he also had his employees stay almost an hour after close to ensure everything was finished up. I was more than satisfied with the install, they even took care of me by installing a steering wheel control harness, hdmi and usb flush mount kit...and maintained my original factory usb and auxiliary input ports. Not one wire is visible and it's a very clean install and sounds amazing. These guys will take care of you and even when it's not their fault, if the company let's you down, they will fix it however they can. read more

I went in to have my subs and amp hooked up. The first time I went into the shop I waited 45 minutes in the waiting room. When I came out to see what was going on, my car was sitting in the garage not being worked on because they were waiting for "D" who was outside with another customer, to come and tell me I needed an RCA cable. 1 of the other 2 employees who were on the floor made no attempt to inform me of this. I had to return to get the install finished. When i returned i was treated poorly. I was treated poorly over the phone. Customer service was far below average at best. I'm extremely disappointed. Planned on installing a dvd player and a backup camera. Guess I'll take my business where it's appreciated. read more

I had bad luck in the past at this same location with an employee being concerned more about his financial gain versus good customer service and future business. This time around, Joe Dirt and crew took care of me at at reasonable price and within the reasonable timing. As a result of good business, I decided to spend much more than I originally had planned as I threw in a stereo deck and speakers on top of my total purchase. Matt is very helpful, however if he says $250 installed be prepared for the addition of $100 to the price when it comes to pay because they add on numerous items such as, the bluetooth speaker, DDIN?, PIN, and shop supplies. I took my car in about a month ago because my speaker system stopped working - it wouldn't turn on at all. They did a hard reset and fixed it. Well, a few weeks later it went out again, so I took my car back and they looked at it again FREE OF CHARGE, and were able to get it working again. They were very quick and helpful and I really appreciated that they didn't charge me the second time. They said to come back if it ever happened again, and that it might be an issue with the system itself (which they did not initially install; we bought the car used). Had my alarmed installed a little while ago and I bought the extra coverage to protect the remotes. The guy Mike I think was his name said that if I drop the remotes and it breaks to just bring it back in and with that protection it would b covered. So after a month we did break the screen (still worked) so I didn't bother taking it in at that time since we had a year for it just in case it would break more. Started having problems with the remote not disarming the car so I did take it in and they say that they can't cover it because it was broken. So I just paid for the extra coverage for nothing!!! I went to Audio Express earlier this year on the recommendation of my mechanic to replace a failing radio. I was disappointed in the lack of staff attention in the store and the serious underestimation of the installation time. Two other issues have occurred since the installation. For the first time since the installation I attempted to adjust the climate temperature control knob. It did not adjust properly so I took it my mechanic just to find out that the radio installer had moved the wiring harness from its factory location and its new location interfered with the proper operation of the climate temperature control knob. That cost me $ in a mechanic's bill that should not have been necessary if the installation had been done correctly. Secondly, I've been considering getting a remote control for the radio. Today I looked at the manufacturer's website for compatible remotes just to find out that the model of radio I purchased came with a remote. I just wasn't given it after the unit was installed. Now I'm going to have to spend more money to replace the remote I should have had. read more

I was misquoted the price twice and charged for parts even though there were no parts required or used. When I brought this discrepancy to their attention, they just said that's the way they do business. They never offered me a refund. I had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting Matt today at Audio Express. I recently purchased a used car from a local dealer and as part of the deal they were going to install a satellite radio for us. The car was sent to AE for the install. I went to pick up the car at the dealer and was not happy with the way it was installed and the dealer agreed it was not done in a way in which they would be happy. The dealer made contact with Matt and I was referred to him. I show up and one customer was being waited on and there was another waiting for service. Matt took care of that gentlemen while I wondered around the store. Matt's customer finalized his purchase, then Matt retreated to his office. I waited a few minutes and finally went to his office and knocked on his door. I asked if he was Matt, he said he was and sat his cell phone down to help me. I explained who I was and he said let's go out and take a look. I showed him the unit and that I didn't find it to be a very professional install. He made excuses why it was done this way blaming the dealer on the minimal install. He asked how I wanted it installed, I showed him and he again said that's not how the dealer wanted it done. I said fine but this is how I would like it done. He reminded me that holes needed to be drilled, things cut and he did not have a part to make it happen. We went around and around a couple of minutes and I finally said I don't want it as it is and asked to have it removed. He said fine and started walking away then he turned and said I'm not listening to him and he wanted me to leave. I got out of my car and said I hear you and he again said no you do not. Matt walked back in the store leaving me outside, I followed him in and said is this how you treat your customers and he said I was talking to him in a insulting way and told me to get the "fk" out of his store, he then turned and apologized to the other customer for telling me to get the "fk" out. Besides him telling me to get out of his store he never once offered a solution only cast blame. I previously had AE install two different systems in two other vehicles. First install was satisfying the second install they created a problem with the power window which I had to have repaired separately at my own cost. read more

I purchased a Parrot bluetooth system for my car so I could use my iphone and play music through my car speakers. The one hour installation promised ended up taking 5 hours. First of all, they installed a system (took 3 hours) that did the phone but not the music. Then once they realized it, they had to take it out, and put in a different system. When testing it, the phone didn't work and so it took additional time-- 5 hours of me waiting there for a one hour install. I stopped back another time because the mic keeps falling off my dash. This is an ongoing problem. Then today the system stopped working so I called and was told to bring the car in. I went in at opening today and was told I was #3 in line so I left the car. The promise was 2 hours. I called at 3 hours and was told the car hadn't been worked on. What I found out later was that I had called the other store and they didn't even have my car and the business about being next in line was bogus. (My error in who I called.) So I called the Oracle store and was told my car was next in line. After 4+ hours, I went in and found my car hadn't even been touched. The excuse was they were busy and the tech was working slow because his brother died last year and they were working with him to give him more time. I then asked for my keys back, the name of someone higher up to call (was dealing with the assistant manager) and started to leave. One of the guys who remembered me from my installation fiasco asked if he could look at my car and was able to get the music to play, but that could have happened when I first went in and not 5 hours later. Why the music goes off intermittently, who knows. And the mic is still dangling by the wire. Oh, and the dash is loose and not closed properly, he noted. I tried calling the manager at the Broadway store and of course he is not in today. I will call tomorrow. What I would really like is to have a complete refund of my money--- how I get paid back for 10 hours of my wasted time is a whole other story. They may sell great products but their customer service is TERRIBLE. You can't believe any promises they make. The next day I called the manager at the Broadway store to ask for a refund. He said Corporate will not allow refunds and offered to look at my car. I told him it was too far to go there and it still meant I had to deal with Audio Express. So I will now contact Corporate. read more

His attention to detail and willingness to work with us to get a dash that wasn't cracked was well and above everything he needed to do. I purchased a stereo from Audio Express, Oracle/River location, after trying to install a stereo myself from Walmart. I had succeeded only in making things difficult for the Express installers. There was no extra charge, even though it took considerable extra time and trouble to fix what I had done. It is very rare, these days, to find a company that goes the extra mile like that, without complaint or charging extra. Good Job! read more

The story; I bought a kenwood reciever and paid 288.21 out the door, installed. (I could have bought online at a much cheaper price and had it installed elsewhere and saved much money but I wanted to do it locally to avoid return hassles if it didn't work.) The kenwood x599 display is so dim that it is impossible to see in the daylight even at the highest setting (I've had several people look at it including the person who sold it to me.) The sales person agreed it was not working for the AZ sun and advised me the only fix was to get my windows tinted. (I don't want my windows tinted, and I certainly don't want to pay for it after paying almost $300 for a unit.) They refused to refund my money (store policy) even though I bought it only a couple of days ago. They would sell me a downgraded product but would not return the price difference, with no guarantee it would work better. Bottom line; a despicable chain - do not do business with them. BTW; I'm 72 yrs. old and 100% disabled. The last thing I need is to be distracted by working the unit while driving! Update; I tried to return the unit after getting it professionally uninstalled by another shop (see my 5 star review for Jason and Stereo Pad on Speedway). The manager of the Audio Express store (Scott) would not accept it because it was "used"; it was in the original box, everything was there, and I had their invoice with all the information on it. I bought the unit from them and had it installed only a few days before at their store. They offered me no alternatives (just as before) so, since I paid for it by a Visa Credit/Debit card, protested the charge with my financial institution and filled out the required paperwork to dispute the charge with Visa. The amount was immediately provisionally returned to my account. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, wrote an email (never acknowledged) to Audio Express corporate offices, and to the Kenwood corporate offices (also never acknowledged.) The district manager for Audio Express in Tucson called me a couple of days later and, after discussion, returned my money to my card and, since the store refused to take it back, the district manager (Robert, a very professional and cooperative person) even came personally to my house and picked up it up (the charges were reversed the very next day.) Of course, I have spent many hours dealing with this issue; since I am retired I have the time, but the unfortunate soul giving this chain business would probably not want (or even be able) to take all this time and effort away from their job and/or families. As has been said since antiquity "caveat emptor" - let the buyer beware.) PS; at the bottom of the first page are many "not recommended" reviews (including mine before I sent them an email decrying their opaque policy regarding their "automated" policy of deciding which reviews are posted in the "non-recommended" section. It is difficult for me to understand why my review was placed there; I think it is fact based, not opinion, in most respects and is certainly appropriately written. Many of those "not recommended" reviews are one star and are not counted in the overall score the business is given by Yelp. Took my mustang in to get an alarm. My car had holes like all other cars by the steering wheel to install the blinking light that comes with an alarm. Audio Express decided to drill a hole in my center console in a very random spot. I hated it and because of their actions my vehicle was not even able to go back to how it was. Terrible place to do business, wasted my time every single time i went in. i went in with high hopes but we was dissapointed. bought a sub woofer from them it took them two attempts to install it and they didnt do it right after everything. i had to have themk re do it two more times, now 6 months later the subwoofer has failed and they wasted my time again going in there making me wait an hour even though i scheduled my appointment . i cant recommend these guys, and i wont go back . the manager was also condescending. i liked their selection but if you try to price match they jack up your price somewhere else , the sales man even admitted to it. read more

My experience with them has been AWFUL! I spent $1200 having a new radio face and car alarm installed in my car. Within the first 30 days, radio kept shorting out causing me to have to reset it and the Bluetooth to not be able to connect. They said that the brain was bad and replaced it with no problem or hassle leaving me satisfied. About a week later, the alarm wouldn't connect to my keychain leaving me have to reset it anytime I needed to use it. They gave me a new key and again, left me satisfied. Long story made a little shorter, 2 radio brains later and multiple key resets, I have to have my car towed to Audio Express because the alarm brain went bad and will not stop going off despite myself or the Audio Express staff trying to reset it in multiple ways. The products I bought are quality products that I did much research on before purchasing. These issues are clearly a result of inexperienced installation and carelessness. ive only ever had such a bad experience with show case meats... i was shocked at how poorly they conduct business, the wait times and how they priced things out. first they told me they price matched but if they did then install would double.. so not really price matching youre still screwing me for 40 dollars. I get it they need to make money so i let it go. next i left my car with them all day , approximately 7 hours, and by the end of the day, they still weren't finished. it was a simple amp/sub install. when they delivered me the car, the install still wasnt done, they had just left the (round ) sub-woofer sitting there after i asked them to bolt it down as it would shift while driving and rip out wires. then i realized they forgot to install the bass knob. another thing it took them all day not to do. they also ripped out my old amp wires after i had asked them to leave them in. they still had the audacity to charge me more for extra wires that they neglected to quote me originally after i had paid for this botch job but prefaced it with knocking off a few dollars as a favor. (favor to who at this point?) they made a ton of excuses and began getting agitated with me after i would call them out on these things as if i was the problem. then to top it all off. i notice that there is one brand new sub-woofer left on the showroom floor and the demo unit is missing..i fear the worst. and i ask them , if they had installed the floor model in my car after i had specifically told them not to. (after all i paid full retail for a new one) he fessed up and brushed it aside as if it was no big deal. at this point i was so fed up i just let them finish and took my car to a company that knows what they are doing. this was an absurd affair. i couldn't believe it really . i should have listened to others. dont come here, the work wasnt even very clean the sub is mounted crooked even. just a cluster of crap read more

dealing with scot,took bike in on thursday proir to memorial weekend,had it done friday,went to p/up and employee had pulled so hard on the handle bars to remove from work area to put bike out of work area for me to p/up that he pulled so hard and dropped my bars to the tank damaging my paint job,went by yesterday to p/up m/cycle and was disassembled still5/30/15 ,they realized after looking at store video that damage to paint job was done buy their employee, per scott ,what is frustrating is that i have to be the one to chase down the color code from harley so they can have fixed,will call today to have then assemble the front fairing to have h/bars fixed myself,not a problem but when approached them 5/30/15,came across as if ,okay soory we will get it done,been 13 days so far ,then when asked scoot about maybe some type of discount due to the fact that this was all on them and i had no problem with taking care of the h/bars myself,reply was not sure if we can but i will look at it,very dissappointed,remember you are in a business that customer service should come first.fernando padias read more
