He sings (Piano Man is a must!) and dances like no other...and when I say sing, I mean his voice is truly phenomenal! Tim took the extra time to get to know us and our music preferences prior to our big day. He also made great suggestions about how to structure our reception timeline based on his previous experiences and the setup of our venue, which was very helpful. Our dance floor was full the entire night and our guests could not stop raving about him. We booked them due to recommendations from friends…read morefor our 2020 wedding, which ended up not being able to happen due to government restrictions for Covid. We communicated that with them and had rescheduled for August, which was additionally shut down due to government restrictions. We then planned to re-book for May 2021, which after going back-and-forth multiple times with dates ended up getting switched to a different DJ group within the organization, which was fine. We were then told by our venue, Riverview Gardens, that they were no longer hosting weddings, but because we had a contract, they would host ours. We met with them in person and ultimately decided that they were doing it more out of obligation, and we didn't feel comfortable spending a large amount of money to host a wedding with a venue that wasn't excited about us hosting our wedding there. We had gotten married in August 2020 in a small ceremony that followed Covid restrictions and had planned on doing our big wedding as planned in May 2021. At this point, it was such a drawn out process and I wasn't excited about planning a wedding for the fourth time and starting the venue search again. I received a full deposit refund from Riverview Gardens and reached out to Yo DJ about getting a refund on our deposit of $875 via email. I had reached out multiple times and never received a response to the DJ's assigned to our event as well as the general email. This has been going on for multiple years and to be honest I probably should've been more on top of it, but it's just a constant reminder that I didn't get my dream wedding and still have my original wedding dress hanging in my closet unworn as well as all of our decor in my basement that was unused, so it wasn't necessarily at the top of my mind. After an email stating I would pursue legal action, I finally got a response from Cory who informed me that they were not willing to work with me on issuing that refund but instead they would work with me if I wanted to have them host a different event. Which makes no sense because we're not having a big wedding so I'm not sure what I would even use them for. Overall, very disappointed with the entire interaction and now I am out $875. I have two follow up emails out to Cory from his response, both of which have gone without a response.

Prior to booking, Pamela invited us over to her house to listen to samples of music she could play. We immediately discovered that she has a very expansive list of music that she knows, is quite talented, and was eager to learn additional songs for our wedding. During our planning, Pamela responded to emails promptly and always got back to me in less than 24 hours. She kept us informed about our music choices and bought sheet music for several songs that we asked for her to play. We learned that she also played the accordion so we decided to have her play the accordion during our social and dinner hour. Our guests LOVED Pamela. She eagerly filled any harp requests from our guests. She added flare to our dinner by walking around the room playing the accordion. She played a special polka for me and my dad and 'On Wisconsin' for the father of the groom. We had one snafu during our wedding. The bus company we hired arrived to our venue an hour late due to a mechanical issue. With the bus being late, the time we hired Pamela to play was closing in on us. As the bride, this caused a great deal of stress and worry. Pamela stayed by my side and kept me calm. She graciously stayed longer than the time commitment we agreed to and still played during our wedding ceremony, during the social time, and into dinner. Bottom line, Pamela stepped up and exceeded my expectations to ensure that my wedding day was special. Pamela performed perfectly during my special event and I HIGHLY recommend Pamela to play at your special event.
