My wife and I were planning a wedding from outside of Wisconsin and really struggled to find a good…read moremusic option. After a ton of research we came across Half Empty. They are a rock band from Appleton, WI and were absolutely amazing. To be clear this isn't the Wedding Singer - These guys are rock stars with the skills to be on tour and play larger venues normally it looks like. We were really lucky to get them! Jason Lambie blew us away with his communication leading up to, and through the event. We wanted live music, but most of the bands around the area sounded terrible on their YouTube clips or played tacky wedding/party songs. The best man in the wedding is a bit of a singer/guitar player and the crowd pushed him onstage without planning and the band just rolled with it and let him play along. I was impressed as Half Empty are real musicians and I thought they'd be offended that he joined them for a song unexpectedly. These guys are pros and real entertainers! My family and guests thought we paid thousands more than we did. They are not a typical wedding band. They are made to play large crowds and are the best musicians I've seen in WI. If you have a chance for a festival, large corporate event sort of thing you need to book these guys. My family and friends DON'T DANCE and these guys had everryone on the floor singing along and dancing before the first song was even over. Even the over 50 crowd. I was stunned watching my older siblings and their kids all jamming together. These guys look and play like rockstars. They probably had $20-30k of guitars on the stage lined up, very cool drum stand and awesome stage set up. No lame sign hanging behind them or anything like that. To have the complete rock star package without the attitude blew us all away. Look no further. Book these guys immediately .and your guests will love you for providing the best cover band they've ever seen. Ever.

If one could give ZERO stars, I would! We retained Mr. Bullock's services nearly one year ago and…read morefurther confirmed our wedding date three weeks prior. Mr. Bullock agreed to show up one hour before the ceremony starting in order to setup and play guest arrival music. At thirty minutes prior to the ceremony, I attempted to contact Mr. Bullock to inquire of his whereabouts. HE WAS A NO SHOW WITHOUT WARNING! My wife and I specifically tailored our ceremony to take cues from Mr. Bullock's music! Sadly, my wife and I experienced anxiety and disgust throughout the duration of our ceremony as we fumbled through each of the ceremonial stages. What an embarrassing disaster! Several hours later, Mr. Bullock was gracious enough to send me a TEXT MESSAGE to express his regret in missing our ceremony due to an "unfortunate circumstance." Whatever his "circumstance," it apparently took up all of his time to where he couldn't have taken the same three seconds at any point prior to our ceremony to notify one of us via text message that he would be unable to fulfill his compensated obligation. My wife and I are completely disgusted with this outcome and disgusted with the fact that he didn't even have decency to call to express his regrets. We could have made other arrangements given some sort of notification beforehand. In closing, I will say this: if you are planning on a violinist to play your activity, think long and hard before choosing this guy! It will be a crapshoot on whether he shows. BEWARE!

I would highly recommend Randall Bullock for your event. I worked with him on several musical…read moreprojects and have found him to be very reliable. An excellent violinist with a passion for his art!

We knew we didn't want a DJ at our wedding. Every wedding we've been to that had a DJ felt…read moreover-produced. The DJ would emcee the event and dominated the vibe. We didn't want that partly because we had an outdoor wedding in a tent in a beautiful, natural setting, and someone playing pre-recorded hits from the 80s, 90s and later seemed like a mismatch. And also partly because that's just not us. We like the natural, the analog, the softer and more organic feel. So we decided to hunt down some live acoustic options. As soon as we found Acoustic Endorphins, we knew we were all set in the reception music department. From our initial inquiry all the way through to the rainy morning of the event, Ted took great care of us. They worked with us on a specific set list, organizing songs by tempo so that the slower songs were played during the dinner buffet, and more upbeat songs played after dinner when people were more likely to be dancing. And dance they did! They even invited guests to play and sing along with them. Not only did they nail the event, and achieve the ideal vibe we'd hoped for, people came up to us regularly throughout the night to compliment them. On top of that, they are two good-looking dudes who dress to impress and their set-up with the instruments and lights was perfect. And they wore kilts! My background is Irish/German, my wife's is mostly German and Welsh, so the kilts were a hit with everyone. Planning a wedding involves trusting vendors you've never worked with to come through for you, not just to show up at the right time, but to give their all on your big day. And Acoustic Endorphins gave us everything they had, and we really can't thank them enough for that.

I second all the comments of my new son-in-law in the review he posted. The music provided by the…read moreAcoustic Endorphins was excellent. It filled the room yet the senior citizens in attendance could still converse with each other. They even learned some new songs especially for the bride and groom and their families. They are professional in the best sense of the word.
