I was not informed the amplifier was being shipped for additional testing. I was told it was bad and being replaced. 3. You were well aware of the holidays when giving me the turnaround time. Don't tell someone it'll be a week if you can't deliver. Beware not all work done in-house. Brought my car in and asked if they could ship part to be fixed. After 2 weeks part was returned because it was in good working order. Wanted to ship another part out to see if that was the problem. No thanks I'll just bring to the dealership. I didn't know exactly what was wrong with it, only that it wasn't working anymore. They diagnosed each cable and found the faulty one. These guys are professional and have fair prices. Over the past 8-years I've had Audio Evolution install stereo systems in my Yukon, Mercedes, Cherokee and boat. In every instance the quality of workmanship and customer service has been impeccable. Just took my truck to get a diagnostic run cause the factory Bluetooth, Sync, and Aux stopped working. Was told that their computers could not talk to the Ford Sync system and that all the fuses were good, that I would have to take it to Ford. I got home and looked it up on the forums tried pulling all the stereo related fuses then turn truck on and off reinstalled all the fuses and wow it worked. This is 1 start cause I was told that all the fuses were checked, and were not, not because their computers couldn't diagnose the problem. Years ago, I took my 88 firebird down to have a box installed in the rear hatch to accommodate 2) 12" subs. They charged my $225. Once I got my car back I noticed the box was very small. I thought nothing of it. After I left and with close inspection they did not build a box at all! All that was done was a 1/2" carpeted piece of MDF that was screwed to the top of the overhang in the back of my hatchback! When I called them, all I was told was that the receipt was signed so it was not their problem. Shady, shady work. I decided to get a quote last week for upgrading my alarm from a viper 300 to a 5706v and adding several additional sensors. I talked with J.R. and he gave me a quote of $1,059!!! Seriously? He proceeded to tell me that the alarm itself was $500, when it's actually $219! ***BEWARE*** If you want to get taken advantage of (and not in a good way) DO NOT go here. I got everything I wanted from another shop that was a Viper Dealer for $550 Installed. A $509 mark up? You guys should be ashamed of yourselves! Not only do you guys do VERY shady work but you take advantage of people. That's not right. I am so surprised that you have good reviews at all? All I can say is your great reviews are as good as your work in my opinion. read more

Went to audio evolution today to get a backup camera for my 2014 Kia Optima. Sat down with Louie and reviewed options. He could not find a product that met my requirement for options or price, but he took the time to suggest other options and called suppliers to see if there was any way he could meet my needs. Not a total loss, Louie is a really nice guy and very professional and concerned for my needs. I would suggest anyone looking for audio products for their vehicle to meet with Louie. Took my 300 in to have a few audio equipment/accessories put in and a dash cam hardwired to the fuse box, it's been almost a week and I'm very happy with the end result not many issues the ones I thought were issues were user error, after resetting my nav all seems to be working perfectly fine :P. The last time I had my car done in LA my car returned with my power window/locks not functioning and the steering wheel controls not working, not so with A.E., Eli was very straightforward and did exactly what I wanted done to my car. He had also gone ahead and added the equipment I was missing and got the job done in 5 hours which was impressive. Still fine tuning my piece of junk box that my JL's are sitting in but overall very pleased on the price and time it took Eli and his crew to finish up the project I started about a year ago! Absolutely horrible! I went in to get my sunroof closed because it was stuck open. They somewhat put my car back together. Let me list all the faults with my job; the big one, the reason I came on, the sunroof was not closed properly and was letting in the elements, the wind noise was horrible and rain might have been getting in, could have ruined my whole headliner; the sunroof was rattling because they forgot to reinstall parts, I found them in my car; my sun visor was hanging down and would not snap up properly; my map light assembly was crooked and unsightly; and the cargo light assembly was not installed properly ( that one I was able to pop in myself, I guess I forgot to mention that to the manager when I called the shop because of the myriad number of other problems with my car. I actually wrote down a list of all the things that they had messed up and needed to be fixed, so they would not forget. Because the work performed on my car was either done very carelessly or by someone that does not have the skills to perform the job. In the first case, who's responsibility is it to check over the work to make sure it's done properly? In the second case, this person should have asked for help.) So I had to come back and waste 3 hours and gas to drive there to get it put back together like it was when I dropped it off. The manager would not give me any break at all on the service, not a single dollar or penny off. I work for a living and sitting there means I am losing money, so I lost a half a days work and pay. I wanted a full or partial refund so I could go to a reputable shop, and get the car fixed by people that would do proper work. I went back and forth with the manager for a couple days, (the owner was supposed to contact me, I told JR the manager multiple times to have him call me, I would like to speak to him instead of you being the go between, I called the shop multiple times and it seemed like they were making up excuses as to why I couldn't talk to him. So the owner refused to talk to me. I waited for his call, call the manager again.) and finally decided to have them fix it, under the following conditions, the manager personally does the work, no one else, I can supervise it, and it WILL meet my standards before moving from the bay. Summary Owner refuses to talk to customers about concerns, horrible work, but they did fix it in the end. I would never go back. The only counter point in their rebuttal will be that they fixed the work months later. I was traveling and working during this time, before I left we dropped the car off, then my dad picked up the vehicle from the shop and kept it at his house for the months I was out of state. When I got home I started driving the car and noticed all sorts of problems and called them immediately. read more

I should have come here two years ago. I've spent close to $3,000 on audio equipment at two other locations and have yet to have the audio experiments I was looking for. This should be anyone's first choice looking to upgrade audio. JR was able to quickly diagnose what the other two locations in the area ( advance auto and audio addiction) were not able to get right the first time. He immediately let me know that my front component speaker was not blown ( was being told this from audio addiction) but rather they wired my speakers incorrectly. AE removed an old video system from our 2003 Cadillac Escalade, under seats and in the middle of the headliner. Fabulous job!! And very reasonable. They fabricated a custom panel for the headliner where the video unit was. It looks like the factory did it, including switched lights in the new panel, synced to the rear doors. Audio Evolution just fished up some additions on my Lexus 450h 12 speaker system. Stock system was really good in most areas, except the bass was a bit muddy and under powered. Spoke with them, the advice they gave me was all very good, from low price points all the way to very expensive prices points. I was reluctant to go with the low price point solution, they informed me it would exceed my expectations. They were right. Simple addition of a powered subwoofer solved the problem.
