I would highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs. I was "helped" by Brian in putting a new amp and speakers into my car, and they were all items that he highly recommend. After paying a lot of money, I received an awful sounding stereo (literally everyone I know said it sounded bad), and when I called to say that things didn't sound right, he said that nothing they did was wrong, and I would need to buy a DSP and that was the end of it. No offer to come in and look at it or anything. I still went it to get a vibration fixed and to talk with Brian in person about the poor sound quality, and he blew me off and said that the only solution was a DSP. When I left the vibration was not even fixed, so I chose to do take my business elsewhere. I got my amp retuned and a sub put in at another place in town, and my car sounds WAY better now. AVOID THIS PLACE. Everyone else there is friendly, but it's a shame Brian can talk so much about his competition level cars and still put a terrible stereo into yours. read more

Terrible service and quality! We had Audio Evolution install a new audio system and trailer hitch on a 2023 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid. The audio had issues with static within the first few months. They said the problem was an incompatibility with Toyota factory wiring and the new audio wiring; however, the issues continues. (They didn't mention an incompatibility when they installed the system.) After numerous calls, I gave up trying to schedule another repair. Recently, I noticed the trailer lights they installed weren't working. Upon investigation, I discovered that the connection that Audio Evolution crimped was so poor that the wire came undone. read more

Very happy with the window tinting they did. I dropped by without an appointment because Brian wanted to see the vehicle for a possible Alarm install. As it turns out there is really nothing in the market that would work for me and Brian was straight forward telling me that. I rather have that than selling me something it does not give me the protection I want. While I was there I had a chance to ask about the tinting and the lady in the store was very nice and helpful, they did it in about an hour and 15 minutes for the two large windows in the cab. Was very concerned with the tech driving my baby due to height and width but he assured me he would be very careful and indeed he was. These guys tinted my windows and damaged a sensor in my new car. The dealership repaired the sensor for $300 and said the damage was clearly caused by water damage from the tinting process. AE management would never return my phone calls and when I went back to their store with my invoice from the dealership I was told that the "the owner" was out of town and I would be contacted. I was never contacted and when I called again I was told that they would contact me. I called again and I was told the "the owner" was out of town and they would contact me. It's been three weeks now and no contact. Why wouldn't AE just refund me my money? Needless to say I would not recommend AE to anyone because of how they treat their clients. I will say that David is very pleasant but not in management so there was nothing he could do but he was empathetic to my situation. Brian, who is a manger was the opposite. Audio Evolution is fantastic! I went in a couple weeks ago looking to upgrade my stock stereo in my 2015 civic. I checked a few local places out and after speaking with Oshia I decided to give them my business and boy am I glad I did this. Upon getting settled in with my new stereo I noticed that there were some issues making phone calls with Apple car play. Long story short after speaking with Oshia she decided to reach out to Jay the owner about a swap. The owner approved and prior to picking a new stereo Brian literally took units out the wall hooked them up to test and make sure it would work with my iPhone 11 Pro. After settling on a device I dropped my car off the following week for an install. Once it completed not only was I amazed at how well Matt did on the install they also upgraded me to the 4500 NEX not the 4400 I thought I was going to receive. Only thing I paid for was labor and after seeing the job Matt did I didn't mind this at all. In the end this group of individuals are amazing. Had these guys install stereo equipment on my boat. I can't speak highly enough about this company. They fit me in very quickly and were top notch from beginning to end. I picked up a screw in one of my tires on my boat trailer on the way in and they plugged the tire for me which obviously is not in their typical scope of work, but did it anyway. My boat is a 26 foot boat with a fairly wide beam and very difficult to fit into their indoor air-conditioned garage bay. They had every employee in the place out there watching the boat as I packed it in to help me fit it inside. The owner is hands-on and deals directly with customers. His technicians are way above what I am used to dealing with and other stereo equipment installation companies. The finished work they have is impeccable. Much cleaner and sharper than past installations I have had done. I am thinking about adding on to my current stereo set up and will definitely be going back to them to have them do it! read more

Nobody ever WANTS to put an alarm system on their car. It comes out of necessity. Gone are the days where just locking your car was enough. Thieves have tools and devices to unlock your vehicles and either steal what is inside or just steal the vehicle altogether. I am that person. I was a victim of a vehicle break-in and stolen was a 6-year old Kenwood radio. I mean, who does that these days? Well it happens and all too often. I thought my neighborhood was safe but I was sadly wrong so the next morning, after the cops left, I made that decision that I NEEDED a protection device and started researching locations in the Charleston area for an alarm system. I called Audio Evolution on Savannah Hwy and first spoke to John. I explained to him my situation and what type of vehicle I needed to protect. He started out with the basic system which sounded fine but I wanted to come in the store to see what were all of my options. I arrived on a late Saturday afternoon and spoke to Brian the sales manager. He was very understanding and very sympathetic and walked me through what could be done to really protect my car and sold me on a great system that really would put my fears at ease. Another employee Matt also assisted me with what alarm system would work best for my car and he walked me out to his own truck and showed me all the bells and whistles he has on his vehicle. Matt showed me how his vehicle reacted to intruders and how easy it was to navigate the key fob and if I wanted to add more options later, it was very easy to do with the system that I was purchasing. Now I had to wait. Not long though because they were able to fit me in the next Thursday morning. MAN! To me that was a long 4 days just wondering if the perpetrator(s) would strike again. I mean, they already got my radio but would they be back to steal the whole car? I showed up early and they got my car in right at 9am, my appointment time. On my previous Saturday afternoon visit, Brian had also suggested picking out a new radio (since mine is probably in a pawn shop in Summerville somewhere) to go with my new alarm system and told me that it could be installed the same day! I was so excited walking in to Audio Evolution that Thursday morning! I worked with John again who helped me pick out a snazzy new "audio system" since I decided I wanted more than just a basic radio. Hubs and I left and enjoyed our day around town and got the call around 3pm saying that my car was ready but the speakers didn't sound too good. Totally understandable since they are the original speakers in the car. I came back to the store and John helped me pick out a new set of speakers. Once my car was finished, Matt gave me a full demo of my alarm system and John gave me a full demo of my new audio system! And both told me that if I had ANY questions to let them know! Also, they do offer a Military discount which I thought was awesome! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AUDIO EVOLUTION on Savannah Hwy in Charleston SC!!! Audio Evolution will quote you a price on the phone, quote someone else a different price, give you a firm price when you visit in person for a consultation, and then when it's time for your appointment, act like they never heard of the prices they gave you. This is a dishonest business trying to get over on people, especially women...and minorities. I chose to take my business elsewhere after the run-around and dishonesty. The other place used the exact same brand of tint with the life-time warranty, gave me a darker film on the rear view mirror (still legal) to make the overall look seem darker to meet my desires/satisfaction, finished my car in no time, charged the same price they quoted (which was lower than Audio Evolution's various prices), and went above and beyond to make the process seamless for me. They were also professional and friendly. If it wasn't for the bad experience I had with Audio Evolution, I would have never known what better service was like, as it relates to getting quality tint. read more

Mike came outside with John and did not even look at the bubble and walked away saying he can't fix it. Wow what great work from mike and customer caring. Just had my 2002 BMW 330i tinted and it looks amazing!! The Ceramic tint is well worth the cost and my interior is much cooler in the sun now. Car looks amzing and already having many compliments. I've had four cars tinted there over the past 5 years and they've always done a great job.

they installed a radio on july 18, 2018 in my sons truck. cracked the top dash and face of radio area. Me and my son stopped in on July 17, 2018 to get a price on a new radio for his tuck. We all agreed on one priced at $119. plus $89. for installation. plus tax. The clerk asked us for a deposit. We gave him $20. Made an appointment for 9am July 18, he said it would take one hour. We got our receipt and left. My son went in by him self, as i had school. He dropped it off and had someone pick him up. He (Andrew) arrived back at 10:30 to pick up his truck. they told him they cracked his dash...and it would not take long while they fixed it. he waited for two more hours. he called me..i texted his older sister to go pick him up...she did...this was around 12:30....so now a job that was scheduled for 9am for one hour, was now right at 4 hours. they ended up calling him at 3:30pm!!! thank god some one had picked him up!!! Not cool. They DID not fix crack. the crack is on top of dash AND down the face of dash around radio area. Clerk told my son it is cause the truck is dry rotted...the did not even give him a discount, or offer an apology, but blamed his truck. His truck is NOT dry rotted. it is well taken care of, and in great shape. They also did not give him back his old radio which is an Alpine, the same as they installed. i had to call and ask why they did not give him his old radio back. Clerk asked..it is not in the box? i said no. he said let me go look. he came back and said, yes its right here. i will hold it for you. I said i can not believe yall charged him full price, and did not even offer him a discount, that is seriously bad business! he said his dash is dry rotted and it happened to his personal car too. Well they sure did not say in advance any such warnings. I think their employee was probably inexperienced and made a mistake, i think they had no intention of returning his old radio, so i had to make a second trip to go pick that up. i also think they took advantage of youth. This is very bad business. i filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the owner did not even acknowledge it. i now have to go out of my way to take them to court. They worked me in that day and pulled my vehicle in the bay exactly on my appointment time. They told me it would take about 30 minutes and it took exactly that long.
