Had visited Tint World on Du Pont several times to discuss tint and wrap for my Mercedes Benz AMG E63. After each meeting, I was assured that Ryan would call back with pricing and availability. Unfortunately not 1 visit resulted in a follow up call. Nonetheless I chose to schedule a tint and wrap for my vehicle. I dropped the car off at the agreed upon time and returned to retrieve my baby at the agreed upon time. Upon arrival I was advised that the wrap that Ryan had ordered was not pliable and that I would need to return to apply a different wrap product and the remaining tint. Upon checking out, I was charged for the full agreed upon service ($690) and was assured they would take care of the rest of the project once the new wrap was acquired. 45 days later no call, no update. When contacting Ryan, he denied owing any work, wrap had not been ordered but would be happy to order and apply the wrap and finish tint for an additional cost ($350). Shady. Dishonest. Poor customer service. If considering Ryan & Tint World West Ashley...Run in the other direction. read more

Had both the headliner replaced and window tint done. The tint looks great however when we get there, 2 pieces of trim on the headliner and not even snapped back in. Get those done and then the battery is completely dead. Get the car jump started and pull out only to realize my sunroof is now not working. They claimed it wasnt working when it definitely was and had their "expert" come run diagnostics and say they didn't do anything wrong. Not once did the manager even come out and speak to us. $1,700 bill and now a non working sunroof. Also, the headliner has lots of dirty spots on it from putting it in. Definitely would not recommend. read more

Can't say enough about these guys. Got a nasty little scratch that would have cost upwards of $2K to fully repaint and for a small fraction of that the team at Tint World did such a great touch up job it's now hardly noticeable! They did not put the correct tint on. The tint on the front of my vehicle is darker than the back which is obviously incorrect. I addressed the issue and the manager said he would correct it on a different day. He said he would be able to add tint on the back to darken it. I returned the following week and he said he would have to charge me. His only "free" solution was to lighten the front and leave the incorrect tint on the back. It is unbelievable that they are willing to give customers terrible service and try and charge them to correct it. There are countless other tint shops in the area and I regret having my money taken here. I hope the franchise owner is willing to do the right thing and correct this issue. read more

Took my vehicle there to get wrapped and they said it would be taken care of with kid gloves. The vehicle is 16 years old with only 20,000 and was a part of a collection. Paid over $3000 for the wrap. Received it back and at first glance it looked decent. Got it home and really looked it over and saw there were a handful of spots they just slapped a small piece of wrap - like a sticker to cover a portion that was missed or over looked. Matter of fact they did that very thing when I pointed out a spot they missed on the wheel well as I was picking it up. The next morning I had to bring the car back in because the window trim and rubber wasn't attached correctly. I had the car only 2 months with less than 300 sunny miles driven on it and it was kept in my garage. The wrap was already coming up in multiple spots, such as the driver's door, the rear bumper, front bumper, the hood vents etc. I wasn't too fond of the color once it was on but that's all on me, and with it peeling off so soon, I decided maybe I should take it off sooner rather than later. I returned to have them remove the wrap and they assured me they would treat it gently. Said it would take a day maybe 2, they would wash it to remove any residual glue and so forth. Turned into 4 days. When I walk into lobby (mind you the car was outside covered in pollen and unwashed with no emblems placed back on) "You know you have gouges on your rockers"? Was one of the first two sentences uttered by the office manager. They hastily stuck the emblems on and parked it adjacent to another car in the small parking lot so seeing the large gouge on rocker panel wasn't obvious. I did notice paint had lifted off in two small spots on the plastic but I wasn't holding that against them. What I am holding against them because of the totality is the gouge I see when I get home and see the rocker panel, the glue over multiple panels on car, the trim not put on correctly (they claimed they didn't take any off but they lifted it up on the doors enough to pop it out and not seat it back with any attention to detail when giving it back to me) and the door rubber cut. So moving forward, I called the office to hopefully get an apology or any type of admission that they could have done better but in so many words, "I must have done it." Funny thing is the pictures I have from the day I initially dropped it off down show ANY of those imperfections! Stay away from here. Not worth your aggravation, time, patience, or Money. read more

*Half-ass PepBoys* Brought my Audi in for new headliner and tint all the way around. They ended up needing it an extra day totalling 3 days. I show up at 9am and the shitshow commenced. First, the slick young buck that works the desk padded another $100 to remove the tint that was on the car - charge was supposed to be $100, we get there and he doesn't even mention it (i saw it on the receipt). My BS meter was on at this point. We open the car up to inspect only to find interior pieces not clipped back, grease marks on the interior, cloth & plastic. The "tech" comes out and has nothing but excuses to explain the mess inside the car. Then I go to start the car and it has a dead battery. Young kid says "Yeah this is the second time it died. We leave the battery on while tinting..." WTH? So he jumps it and we pull out only to get 500ft down the road and realise the interior trim piece behind the rearview mirror is not there. Soooo we turn around. The "tech" comes back out and ended up bending the mount attached to the windshield for the rearview mirror. Get this - he then proceeds to tell me how I need to carefully maneuver the mirror and showed me how to reattach it if it falls off!! You can't make this stuff up. At this point in 4 hours late for a trip to VA, it was crystal clear I just took my car to circus and there is absolutely zero accountability. It was almost like they have been down this road one too many times and knew exactly how to run our credit card and get us out of there. NO MANAGER EVER CAME TO CHECK during anypoint that morning. We were one of 2 customers in there during this period. FINALLY - Car has been jump started again, they attempted to clean most of their grease spots (still. have a couple on my drivers side interior pillar), busted my mirror and interior trim piece - I'm thinking this is over so we pull out of there and I go to vent/tilt my sunroof. Can you guess what happened? Nothing, they broke the sunroof. I had them install a new headliner so when their "tech" dropped the original one and replaced it, a wire was cut or who knows with these yahoos. They brought in a "specialist" while we waited so they could test the sunroof (assuming the Franchisee was doing damage control). Young guy walks out and says "Everything turned out good with the testing on the sunroof, I saw it for myself." My wife and I look at each other and asked "What testings?" They showed us nothing, we never saw the "specialist" that came in as we were in the parking lot the entire time. Manager at this point is still hiding. I asked them what the plan was and they told me it was BROKE when I brought it in. They got my money and my peace of mind that day. If you have a car that means anything to you and/or you value your money, do NOT take your car to Tint World. There's a Car Stereos shop in West Ashley and my gut told me to take my Audi there but we had so much going on I took the first available appt at Tint World. Horrible mistake. Not even a discount was offered of any kind. $1700 bill. Pathetic unethical franchise and franchisee at this location happy as a clam to take your money and rip you off, kids running the shop, managers with no balls and tech's that don't know what they are doing whatsoever. On top of that, when they break your expensive sunroofs/electronics they will deny it and tell you it was that way when it was dropped off. Shoppers beware. read more

I brought my Ford F150 pickup truck to Tint World to be detailed. Met with Drew and he identified himself as the owner. We discussed the details and price. The price for a truck is listed at $179.99 for the premium package. I said I wanted the engine compartment cleaned and the truck bed washed out. He said that it would $220 but would only wipe down the plastic parts under the hood. We finally settled on a price of$200. I returned later in the day to pick up my truck but was unabke to inspect it becausr it was raining. The next morning I looked over the truck and found the truck bed had not been touched. I rolled down the windows and the top of them were still dirty. Under the hood was not cleaned. I went back and met with Jason to show him the problems. As I was pointing out the problems, he says they don't clean truck beds. Itold him that Drew (the owner)had agreed to them washing the bed. He got very defensive and stormed off to get Drew. Drew came out and said he had agreed to blow out the bed. He finally said he would take care of it. I waited one and ahalf hours for the truck. Neither Drew or Jason came out to check with me, but sent another guy out to tell me that it was his fault. I highly recomend that Tint World get out of the detailing business and stick to their other offers! Hopefully they clean the cars a lot better before the wrap them. read more
