The costumer service is just amazing, not even COVID can stop how friendly, honest and professional this guys are! Not only were they able to upgrade the sound system in my 20 year old BMW, they even went out of their way to help finish the install on a product I did not procure through them, with their knowledge and experience my car has been brought up to the 21st century for sure, bringing functionality that only newer BMW currently have, because of Audio & Accessory Zone, I can now enjoy on true hands free blue tooth (while keeping steering wheel buttons functionality), Siri enabled, automatic power locks, pre-set blinkers and a crisp sound system. Strongly recommend their labor, parts and above all customer service!

Initially visited North County Mobile Electronics to get some information about getting a dashcam…read moreon a new vehicle. The gentleman working there, I believe his name is Frank, provided all the details on the different dashcams they offered and what the total costs would be for installation. They also offer installation on dashcams you provide. I decided to go with the brand they offered because I figured they weren't going to offer and/or stand behind a junk one (fingers crossed). Plus I had no clue what to look for in one myself. I set up an appointment for the following week to have it installed. He gave me an estimated timeline on how long installation would take since I was leaving my vehicle there, and he met that estimated timeline. The dashcam has both front and rear cameras and they hid the wires/cables well. So far, I'm very pleased with the dashcam and the features it includes. I will definitely use North County Mobile Electronics again in the future if I need anything else installed and will recommend them to others without hesitation.

Got an appointment within a couple days, and the install was done in under an hour while I waited, at the exact price quoted. Frank is a good guy, and the installer did a great job. Placement was clearly done by someone who knows what they're doing, tucked behind the rearview mirror and not interfering with the rear defroster. All wiring is hidden and looks very clean. Some shops quoted more and wanted the car for half a day. Glad I went with these guys. Would definitely recommend. NOTE: This review is entirely my own and written solely at my own initiative. I initially had a good experience with Michael…read more I was excited to find a nearby place that could install a stereo screen in my 2004 Honda CR-V. Michael assured me that if I ever had any issues or needed assistance after the installation, I could simply reach out to him and he would help. That gave me confidence in doing business with him. On April 15, I purchased the stereo and paid approximately $400-$470 for the unit and installation. Michael told me he had everything needed to complete the installation that same day. After about an hour to an hour and a half, he informed me that he did not have the trim piece (the border that surrounds the screen). He said he could order it for an additional $40. Since I didn't want my new stereo left unfinished, I paid the extra $40 with the understanding that he would contact me as soon as the part arrived. Unfortunately, that never happened. Over the following months, both my boyfriend and I repeatedly reached out by phone and message to ask about the missing trim piece. I have a history of phone calls and messages showing my repeated attempts to contact Michael and get this resolved. Each time, he would tell me he would "update me when it arrived" or "give me a call," but he never followed through. At times, it genuinely felt like I was being given excuse after excuse instead of seeing any real effort to resolve the issue. Not only was I still waiting on the trim piece I had already paid for, but after the installation, I also noticed that a wire had come loose underneath my driver's footwell. This was never an issue before the stereo was installed. I informed Michael and he gave me a date to come in. I was already on my way to his store when I texted him I was almost there. Only then did he respond, saying that "something snapped" in his back and that he couldn't make it. I completely understand that emergencies happen. However, if he knew he couldn't make the appointment, I would have appreciated a phone call or text as soon as possible instead of waiting until I had already started driving there. That lack of communication was extremely frustrating and showed little regard for my time. I strongly believe that if you make a promise to a customer, you should keep it. Reliability and communication are essential. When customers spend hundreds of dollars, they deserve honesty and follow-through. After months of trying to get this resolved, Michael finally gave me another date to come into his car stereo store. I arrived before our scheduled appointment, only to call and find out he was running late. I waited approximately 15-25 minutes past our agreed time before he arrived. Once he began working on my vehicle, about 20 minutes later he informed me that he had accidentally broken one of the plastic clips inside my dashboard. He told me he would have to order another replacement piece and, once again, assured me that he would let me know when it arrived. Just like before, I never heard from him. As you can see in the photo attached to this review, the missing trim piece is very noticeable. This isn't a minor cosmetic detail--it is an unfinished installation that I paid an additional $40 for and still have not received months later. I gave Michael multiple opportunities to make this right. Every time I reached out, I patiently waited a week, two weeks, and sometimes even an entire month hoping he would follow through with a call, text, or even a simple update. Instead, I found myself having to repeatedly initiate contact while receiving false promises. My car is still missing the trim piece that I paid for, I still have concerns regarding the loose wire from the installation, and I have spent months trying to resolve a simple issue. What disappoints are the repeated promises that were never honored and the lack of communication after payment had already been made. Based on my experience, I don't recommend doing business with Michael. I sincerely hope he improves his customer service, communication, and follow-through so future customers don't have the same experience I did.

This is the response we got back. Overall, i'm glad my partner didn't give a penny to this guy.

Instead of trying to upsell me on equipment I didn't need, it turned into an interview for what I was looking to get out of the system. What kind of music I like to listen to, how much bass I want, etc. I gave him my answers and he designed my sound system around me! He didn't pressure me or try and steer me in any way, only gave feedback when asked and worked with my budget and told me how we switch things up if needed. While my car was there I had them install a WolfBox dash cam and I love it. It's sleek, low profile, and always recording with great quality. There is no rattle with my sound system, it sounds clean and hearty, and I love the craftsmanship in how the wires are wrapped and tucked away where they are seen. (At the sub in the trunk or where the dash cam is plugged in). DV audio charges a more than fair price considering the tailored customer service and experience they bring to the table. Paola, Dennis's wife also deserves praise for putting up with me calling and hassling for scheduling and random questions. She is the best for taking care of all of the behind the scenes work. I recently had an accident and had a bunch of body work done so I brought the car back in to ensure the sound system was returned to as was and they went through the system and added sound deadening free of charge! They really take care of their customers. Anyways that's the end of my Tedtalk, come here for any of your audio or electrical needs!

Price is no object in my quest to stay cool. Bought a townhouse near the ocean and replaced all the windows with double pane low-E glass which keeps out heat in the summer. When I bought my car it had no tint and I got hot when the sun shined on me through the windows. I put very light Greystone CR 70 grade tint on the front 2 windows and I only got warm when the sun hit me. The back 3 windows had Greystone CR 40 grade tint which was limo dark and sitting back there you could barely feel the sun. The problem with my Civic is the front windshield is huge and sloped so a ton of sunlight hits the dashboard and me so often I got hot from sunlight coming through the windshield. Last year I was driving to Palm Springs alot and was getting really hot even with the AC set to maximum. I did research on the net and found out 3M had released a Crystalline series of window tint which had the highest heat rejection rating I had ever seen. Cut to now: It's summer. I'm getting hot driving around. I call SD Motorsports and they squeeze me in at the last minute for a early morning appointment. 2 hours and $350 later my front windshield is tinted with 3M Crystalline CR 70 grade tint. They did an excellent job on the install. Looking through the windshield is much like looking through the front side windows. The heat rejection is about the same as sitting in the backseat behind the Greystone CR 40 limo grade tint. To summarize: 3M Crystalline tint is expensive and does an excellent job keeping me and my car cool. SD Motorsports provided excellent customer service and did a great job tinting my windshield.
