The NEW Q5 scheduled for release Spring or Summer 2025...do NOT buy one now...wait!
    David P.

Tried to buy a 2024 Q5 over weekend...low miles, used...offered within a few HUNDRED of the arbitrary price (of almost 46K) set by dealer, to be refused my offer. Laughable sales manager to walk away from ANY Q5 sale right now with a lot full of new Q5s and Audi about to release a redesigned Audi to replace their lot full of new and soon to be outdated vehicles. Do NOT buy a new Audi off the lot from these guys (or anyone). Let the new model Q5 come out, it's going to blow the current body style, interior design and technology features away! New model will make current Q5 look 10 or 15 years old with 2018 technology. Bet the new ones currently on lot drop $10K+ once the 2025 redesigned Q5 hits the streets if you are intent on driving old technology! Also bet their salespeople wont tell you to wait on a new redesigned Audi Q5 purchase!!! From reviews and interaction Dominion is a lame dealership, so I am staying local with actual purchase, and definitely waiting for the newly designed Q5 to be released!

usually don't leave reviews, but seriously, everything went sideways this time! I just moved from Europe to the US. Bought my first car here, and after a month, the Check Engine light came on (a $2700 fix). Then I bought a second car here with an extended warranty, and less than two months later, the Check Engine light came on again (an $1100 fix). And guess what? Both times it came out of my pocket, obviously! Still waiting for it to get fixed, no loaner car, asked them a bunch of times but nothing! Basically I have to take Uber everyday to get to work and home. Really frustrating, especially having 2 small kids and the car being the only vehicle in the family. This is honestly the worst experience I've had since I got in to the US. I'm never buying anything from here again, ever! Update: My car still isn't fixed... They totally tried to scam me with diagnostic fees, adding in charges and taxes! When I asked their manager if I'd still pay for diagnostics if I got the car fixed there, he said "No." But then they tried to change it, saying it wasn't diagnostics, just "store fees and taxes"?! And when I asked for an itemized bill, they just ignored me! When I showed up, no one would even talk to me, and no one called me back! So basically, I paid for diagnostics and went home with a broken car and the check engine light still on! I will attach some screenshots to illustrate the service I received. "Sending me photo from the calculator!" Audi Service

UPDATE 7/30/26: I had purchased a used car 66k miles great condition a Vw for around 13k. Thought I received an awesome deal. LESS THAN 24 HOURS the car started going into "limp mode" and several light came on while driving on the highway. The next day I take it back and they said they'd look at it. Took them a week to just get the lights back on to get the code and they said it was a bad ABS module. It was replaced reprogrammed and I go on my merry way. A COUPLE DAYS later the car starts shaking. It can't be the tires because they are BRAND SPANKIN' new. They diagnose it say the tires are hard and they need soft tires I can buy but they balance the tires and say well it's just gonna shake. Couple days later the car goes into "limp mode" AGAIN WITH THE SAME LIGHTS so I go straight over there and they take it. Now they say that module was defective but it would cost $5000 to fix it but it wouldn't be a guarantee that it would be completely fixed. I'm of the part was defective then why isn't it another easy fix. Honestly the combination of problems means Engine, computer, even BallJoint problems and I have a very good suspicion I was being lied to. The whole time from the very first problem it was a COMPLETE struggle to get a hold of any update on the car because no one else but one manager and one service person knew what was going on. I had to STRUGGLE to get the updates I needed even though I was told I would be updated! I kept being passed to everyone and their mother to talk to someone and no one knew. Meanwhile the ONLY one helping me try to get info or find info for me was the sales person Kris K. I had to physically show up to the dealership to get any answers and told repeatedly no matter what I would be "taken care of" I would receive an update and call first thing in the morning. THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN. I AGAIN had to call repeatedly over the afternoon so I could finally talk to the manager Joe. Again I was told I'd be taken care of! But he can't just focus on me he has to take care of other customers and I should only need to talk to Kris and he should be doing everything(how can a sales person find anything out about a service thing he has no authority to even find anything why would it be his job to do a managers duty and communicate everything between different departments) He proceeds to tell me over and over again he can't speak for anyone else why I didn't receive the updates on the car. HE'S THE MANAGER! All he did was talk circles and put down his sale person. So I had to go the dealer again to see what my options are. GUESS WHAT!? He made the sales person go through other cars with me WITHOUT telling me what kind of deal they can offer or anything like that. He repeatedly tried to push me into a Ford escape Titanium and sure it was a great year and good miles but I would have to pay more money for a car that states on the car fax it had an OPEN RECALL. While I sat there CRYING FROM FRUSTRATION he doesn't even acknowledge me. After that he didn't check up once not once to see what deal or anything about "taking care of me" because again he told me he has to take care of other customers. I was there for hours THERE WERE NO OTHER CUSTOMERS. I AM SO UPSET AND NOT "TAKEN CARE OF." THEY SOLD ME A BAD CAR AND HAVE BEEN A STRUGGLE TO DEAL WITH. THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I hope to receive a call from the GM John to see what can be done with the situation but I have no hope and low low low expectations he will call me. Darrell, Claudio, Kris Calderon, and Scarlett are angels though.

When we sat down with our assigned salesperson, he asked if I wanted to trade in her car. I asked what they would offer. He briefly stepped away before returning to present the offer. I didn't think he was gone long enough for someone to appraise the car. I had previously checked the trade-in value, so I knew about what to expect. Their offer was a laughable, lowball offer. I then went to Auto Nation, Carmax, and Carvana. All of them offered to buy it at the trade-in value. I told that to our salesperson and asked him to ask the used car manager to reconsider his offer, and this time look at and drive the car. He then increased his offer to a reasonable amount. I shouldn't have had to go through the trouble to get other offers. After we bought the car and were about to drive off, I was handed one of the license plates and told they didn't install it because front plates were no longer required. That didn't sound right, so the next day I checked with the DMV and was told they were required. I told our salesperson what I found out, and he said they were told by management that they were not required. I went to the service department and they installed it. When I sat down with the finance and insurance manager to do the paperwork, I was charged for a license. Our car had military plates and there was no fee for them. I told him we shouldn't have to pay for them. He was adamant that we did have to pay for them and said I could go to the county tax office and apply for a refund. Given the handling of the trade-in offer, the misinformation provided regarding the front license plate, and the excess charge for licensing, I felt it was important for the general manager to be informed of my experience. I requested a meeting with him. I explained my experience. He was somewhat apologetic and said I wouldn't have to go to the county tax office for a refund, his office would send it to me. He also said at the next sales meeting he would advise the salespeople that a front license plate was required. A month after we purchased the car, we hadn't received the car's title nor registration. I called the DMV to find out why the delay. I was informed that they had not yet received any documents from Northpark Lexus. I called our salesperson to find out why they hadn't sent the documents. He said he would check and call me right back. He didn't call me. A few days later, I sent him an email and that was not answered. I decided to just wait. Finally, about two months after we bought the car, the title and registration arrived. As I expected, I wasn't charged for the license, but I was charged a fee for late receipt of the documents and another fee for late receipt of sales tax. So, as it turned out, the money Northpark charged me for the license paid all the late fees. I emailed the finance and insurance manager and copied the GM to let them know I wasn't billed for the license and requested the refund that the GM had promised. It has been approximately one month since I sent the email, and I have yet to receive a response. Had I known then what I know now, I would have likely bought the new car from a different dealership. I never imagined a prestigious dealership like Northpark Lexus at Dominion would have been so unprofessional.

Mr. Moses went to Mr. Bryan Villarreal (North Park Lincoln pre-Owned Director) with my offer and he and Moses came to talk to me at the lobby. Mr. Villarreal made a counter offer and I declined it. I thanked Mr. Villarreal and Mr. Moses (Sales Rep) for their time and left. On August 19th (about two to three weeks from my last visit), Mr. Moses called me stating that they will accept my offer and when can I come in for the paper work. I told him that I would like to get the vehicle inspected by my an independent and well knowledgeable BMW technician by paying out of my own pocket since I found it a bit strange. Mr. Moses, agreed and told me to see Mr. Kenneth (another salesperson, who would give me the key because Moses was going to be off that day. On Aug 19, 2025, I showed up at North park Lincoln at Dominion, met Kenneth and he gave me the key to the X5 and took the X5 to an independent mechanic to inspect the vehicle at my own expense because it was a bit strange that Mr. Villarreal declined my initial offer and weeks later, accepted my offer! The independent mechanic informed me that cracking sound was coming from the left front of the X5 and I rode with him to confirm such sound. He also informed me that the center buttons were sticky and hard to press. I also confirmed the those deficiencies. After about 3 or 4pm, I took the vehicle back to North Park Lincoln at Dominion to drop off the X5 and informed Kenneth about the issues found and he told me he will let Moses know in the morning. On Aug 20, 2025, sale rep called me, asking me when will i come in to do the paperwork? Asked him if he knew about the deficiencies and Moses told me that it shouldn't take long. Went there and explained to moses the issues and he informed Mr. Bryan Villarreal, Pre-owned Director. Moses asked me to drive the X5 with one of their tech and I did. The tech confirmed such noice and also told me that "he was concerned because he felt it on the passenger side as well", where he was seating! When we got back to North Park Lincoln at Dominion, Moses, went to Mr. Villarreal's office to inform him. Moses came back and told me that a maintenance supervisor was going to drive it and if I could ride along with him and the tech guy that previously went with me. I agreed. Maintenance supervisor drove the 2022 X5 and the sound was confirmed for a third time (1-me, 2-tech guy, 3-Maintenance Supervisor). When we all got back from the test drive, Moses had me wait at the lobby while he explained everything to to Mr. Villarreal. A few minutes later, Moses came back from Villarreal's office to tell me that they can reduce the price $500 and sell the vehicle "AS IS" and I'll be responsible to get it fixed! I asked him how much was it to get it fixed?, but he didn't know. I asked Moses, how can I agree to that when they didn't disclosed how much it will cost? I asked him, "would you buy a vehicle that you paid out of pocket to get independently inspected and found deficiencies on the vehicle and now they want you to fix it yourself for $500 reduction? He said no! I told Moses that I was disappointed that he and Mr. Villarreal wasted my time and that they are willing to sell vehicles with known mechanical or other issues without telling or informing customers. I cannot wrapped my head around that such reputable and big dealership such as North Park Lincoln at Dominion, would accept a trade in, such as a 2022 BMW X5 without doing a thorough inspection prior to accepting it as a trade in? Why wait for male pattern baldness and gynecomastia when I can shave a Friar Tuck bald spot on my crown and buy implants? A mid-life crisis is inevitable, too, so I needed a flashy set of wheels. That's why I visited Ferrari of San Antonio and spoke with Darin, a pre-owned manager who knows a thing or two about high-performance luxury automobiles. What impressed me the most about this dealership was the lack of stuffiness; the staff were approachable and relatable, not the least bit condescending or snooty. I imagine many of their clients live in the neighboring Dominion -- an ultra ritzy, ultra exclusive gated community peppered with multi-million dollar mansions -- but they treated little ol' me as though I were a movie star. I let Darin know upfront that I intended to spend no more than $150,000, a price at the lower end of the Ferrari spectrum. I was surprised when he escorted me to a gorgeous 2013 convertible with a paltry 7,000 miles on the odometer. The price was a very reasonable $129,900, well below my self-imposed limit. I fell in love with the styling and the color ("Argento Nurburgring," a fancy term for metallic silver), but I'm leery of convertibles. Yes, they would show off my striking new Friar Tuck look and bouncy implants, but I worry about leaks and mechanical malfunctions*. Darin also pointed me to a sporty 2012 458 Italia in Bianco ROS (essentially pearl white) for $212,000. I had enough in my account to write a check, but I like to keep at least $100,000 available in case of an emergency. He offered a finance plan, but I was adamant about paying in cash. I vowed to return in the near future and check out their new arrivals. Darin handed me his business card and encouraged me to check out their virtual inventory online. The quality of service I received from him never wavered, even after he realized I would not be making a purchase that day. If you've ever dreamed of owning a Ferrari (and let's face it -- most of us have!), then consider dropping by Ferrari of San Antonio and browsing the inventory. Most boxy urban assault vehicles run upwards of $50,000 (some considerably more), so why not go all out and drive something brimming with class and style? My daughter is a UTSA student living away from home. She calls me and says her 2018 Hyundai Elantra…read morewon't start but she knows of a mechanic close to her apartment. She has her car towed to Chad Miller Auto Care and calls me to say she needs a new battery and is being quoted $645. I ask her to hand her phone to an employee, and when I asked why this is so expensive the employee raised their voice at me. I asked for a manager and was informed it was Chad himself I was talking to. I would NOT suggest this mechanic. He is unprofessional and perpetuates the negative stereotype of crooked mechanics preying on young women.

So I read good things about this place. From what I read, they seemed like they knew what they were…read moredoing and maybe they do, but of the two vehicles I took there, both over 10 years old and with a variety of problems, they were able to fix some things, but not all. Mine has an oil leak at least 4 different places haven't been able to figure out. Chad's garage gave me some hope, but they were never able to fix it. I take pretty much all "guarantees" with a grain of salt. "Bring it back"...pffft why would I? You couldn't fix it the First time? More likely, I'll just be dumping more money in sonl you can "half fix it" a 2nd time. One mechanic even told my wife to "hit the dash when her A/C wasn't kicking on...AFTER they fixed it. GTFO... Really!? Cost wasn't exactly on the cheap side...maybe fair, but ONLY if they fix the problem. My impression is they had way more cars than they could handle and were trying to rush them outa there. Fair enough, but I will not be taking either of ours back. Fair warning to those that do.
