There was something immediately alluring about its appearance that drew me inside, and what a delightful discovery it turned out to be!
The ambiance was absolutely enchanting. Sumptuous indigo-violet velvet seating, magnificent crystal chandeliers, and beautiful natural light created an atmosphere of understated opulence. Despite its sophistication, the restaurant felt wonderfully relaxed, intimate, and inviting--a perfect balance of elegance and comfort.
My absolute favorite was the Foie Gras de Canard du Chef, accompanied by citrus compote and delicate brioche. The balance of rich, velvety textures and vibrant citrus was exquisite. Equally delicious was the Loup Pour 2 Personnes, a beautifully prepared sea bass complemented by peas, broad beans, mint, verbena, and lime. The fresh Mediterranean flavors were simply delightful.
We enjoyed a lovely bottle of Domaine Saint Pons, Vignobles Rasque, Authentique, Côtes de Provence, which added another wonderful touch to our afternoon.
The service was impeccable, as well as attentive, polished, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling intrusive. Everything flowed effortlessly, allowing us to relax and savor the experience.
What I particularly loved about Le Duc was its ability to feel luxurious without being pretentious, sophisticated without being stuffy, and elegant without sacrificing comfort.
This was a spontaneous discovery that became a memorable afternoon of French gastronomy, Mediterranean charm, and exceptional hospitality.
Magnifique! A restaurant I would happily return to.
