Where to begin! 1. Customer Service: from the moment we walked in, we felt welcome. We were greeted with warm smiles and hospitality! Even when we wanted to change our seats after ordering coffee, there was no friction from the host. She kindly let us move to the corner table window side under all the beautiful wisteria. Which takes me to part two. 2. Ambiance: the natural lighting was fantastic and the flowers were beyond gorgeous even though they were faux. Impeccably placed! The tables and chairs were even complementing the interior. 3. Food: I got the French toast brioche and my husband ordered the full French. The presentation was pretty and the caramelized banana was a yummy touch!

Where to start... :( This review is only for this location. It's a perfect example of an instagrammable failure. Beautifully decorated restaurant, expensive unappetizing food, even worse service. I think before I had the food, the service already got me in a bad mood. The food just made it worse. But after having sat down, it took them the longest time to get drinks, and even longer to order food, and even longer to actually get the food. Just felt like a complete waste of time. The servers, all 3 of them, seemed like they all hated their job. Very "whatever" feel, "just tell me what you want." When they actually brought the food, they slammed the plate on the table each time. Each minute that passes by was just awful. The service just did not match up to the elegant design of the restaurant. The food kinda reminded me of the plastic displays outside the restaurant. Sure looked & tasted like it. Baked Truffle Bread with Melted Morbier, Pear, & Almond Crust Basically, bread. Couldn't taste the truffle, pear, or almond crust. The cheese was obviously there, but just made the whole thing very heavy. Burrata with Houmous, Tomatoes, Roasted Chickpeas, & Nasturtium The tomatoes actually tasted fresh, but I seriously questioned the burrata. Not pleasing. Half Avocado with Pink Grapefruit, Pomegranate, Basil & Lemon Oil The avocado was not ripe, it was still young. I got 2 chunks of grapefruit, which is nothing (do you know how big grapefruits are?!). Thankfully, it was only half. Lobster Spaghetti with Lobster Bisque Didn't even finish this. Imagine super bland noodles, overcooked lobster, expensive because of the overcooked lobster, & the invisible bisque. Wagyu Burger Classic burger gone all wrong. Definitely didn't taste like 100% wagyu, had to drench the burger in ketchup just to make it bearable, but didn't finish this either. The fries were also not good, but by then we were hungry after not finishing everything else. That's just sad... If you really want that picture in the corner, maybe come for some tea & small bites. If you order anything more, there's a good chance you'll be disappointed.

This was my first time at an Aubaine and I'm glad I chose to come to the Selfridges location. The interior was simply beautiful. It felt like we were in a movie set or something. I ordered the seared tuna salad and an earl grey tea. Both were tasty. The salad was quite filling and the tuna was perfectly seared. My friend ordered the lobster roll and a cappuccino. The lobster roll was tiny compared to what we are used to, but she said she enjoyed it nonetheless. Another friend ordered the ravioli and a lemonade. She said both were satisfactory as well. Service was fine up until the lunch crowd came rolling in. After that, it was impossible to spot our waitress. The check took a little while to come, but our experience here was still a good one.

The absolute best cappuccino I have ever had in my life. Aside for the beautiful decor on the inside with the wisteria flowers hanging from the ceiling, the food looked amazing. My front and I went for dessert, but the all dishes around us looked fantastic. I had a raspberry tart to go along with my cappuccino. I loved how the manager said any calories that come from desserts are all good calories. My type of place!

Very cute little restaurant. The ceiling is full of flowers. Very elegant setting. Would come again, food is unique and tasteful.

I am so in love with this cozy little nook for afternoon tea. The setup is light and airy and beautiful. The food and tea/coffee are delicious. There was a small plate for savory and a three tiered rack of sweets. If I lived in London I would be here every weekend.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful interior. Seriously gorgeous. The purple flowers framing the windows makes it such a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy a meal in. My friend and I decided to get afternoon tea here and did not regret it. It is a little on the pricier side, but the deliciousness of the food and the great service makes it worth it. The sweets were perfectly sweet and delicious. The macaron was perfectly crunchy on the outside with a delicious interior. I'm typically not a fan of mushrooms, but the mushrooms in the croissant was amazing. Perfectly buttery and very flavorful. The presentation of everything was on point as well. Overall, the experience was great and I would definitely come back if I had the opportunity to.

Feuilleté of Goat's Cheese (Goat's cheese and field mushroom tart. Feuilleté de chèvre et champignons)

Being at Selfridges makes this place extra special than only finding great food. I didn't think one day that I will find a vegetarian dish that supersede many meat dishes I tasted in my life! Feuilleté of Goat's Cheese is a must order dish. Adding to that the famous Lobster Spaghetti. Too bad they don't make any more the green bean soup, hope the chief will keep notice!

Chocolate dessert is nice, plain muffin is ok but tastes very blend. Nice environment!

I started with the Camembert Frit (Camembert cheese coated in breadcrumbs, fried, and served with redcurrant and raspberry coulis). This was delicious! The cheese paired so well with the raspberry coulis and it was no greasy at all (perfectly fried). For my main course, I got the Steak d'Agneau au Romarin Grilled lamb steak with red wine & rosemary sauce (served with sautéed potatoes). This was delicious as well! The lamb steak was so tender and flavorful and the sauce went so well with it. The potatoes also went very well with the lamb. I have also had their Filets de Cabillaud Rôti (baked cod fillets with sun-dried tomato and cream sauce), served with leek and potato mash. This was excellent! The cod was so fresh and the sauce was to-die-for! I could have licked all of the sauce off of my plate (if it were socially acceptable haha). The sauce was so fresh and paired so well with the fish. The potato mash was also fantastic--perfect texture. For dessert, I had a rhubarb tart. This was delicious! I loved how the tart wasn't too sweet and I could really taste the rhubarb. The service was also excellent. The servers and managers were very attentive and considerate of my husband's allergies. They were super accommodating, which is the reason we came back again! The have a great price for their prixe fixe menu. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! In a nut shell, great service, excellent food, fair prices and great ambience!

The Food: We did the Valentine's set menu, and a fair warning: it creeps up on you! Every course is delicious, but by the time dessert arrived, we were absolutely stuffed. Even if you aren't typically a seafood fan, give it a chance here. The dishes are incredibly approachable, well-balanced, and clearly had a lot of thought put into the flavors. The Vibe & Dress Code: The atmosphere is unmatched, but learn from our mistake! We spent the day exploring Covent Garden and didn't have time to head back and change. You definitely want to dress smart-professional to match the elegance of the restaurant. We felt a little underdressed for the level of experience they provide! Summary: Romantic, delicious, and worth every penny. Just dress up and come hungry!

Given how difficult it was to get a seat, I would have liked to have been seated in the main dining room with the more impressive array of decorations, but my tiny table tucked away in a corner near the entrance wasn't all bad; decorations were still plentiful, and I didn't feel in the way of passing traffic. With the food, you get what you pay for; which may not be as much as you might think given the "poshness" of the place. Without booze, you shouldn't end up paying more than £50pp. The menu has an array of seasonal favorites like Hertfordshire Beef with a red wine jus, roast chicken with leeks and girolle mushrooms, and seasbass with Autumn vegetables. Seasonal desserts are also available and the booze is seemingly never-ending. You can never go wrong with the chicken here, regardless of season, and with a seasoned sommelier always on-hand, rest assured all your wine pairing needs will be met. The beef and venison dishes are also superb, with both light and hearty sides to compliment them perfectly. Dessert can be a hit or miss. I didn't like my first experience here with the Delice, but my second experience was a delicious poached pear with a superb buckwheat ice cream and buckwheat-infused biscuit. I paired mine with the recommended Bordeaux wine to wash down the sweetness, and let me tell you, it was an extra £14 well spent. Overall, this isn't the type of place you visit every week, or even every month, but it's definitely worth planning months in advance to come during the hholiday season. Reservations are a MUST.

I think every American mother/daughter duo was checking this place out for lunch or high tea. Mom and I opted for the lunch experience in the room called "The Glade." 3 courses, for a very reasonable price. Something like 36 pounds if I remember correctly. We did this over the more pricey high tea, but that certainly looked like a good time as well. That dining room was gorgeous. The food was pretty good. Nothing that absolutely blew my socks off, except for the strawberry dessert. Everything was certainly well done, though. Mushroom arancini with carrot ginger coconut broth was well balanced and craveable. Cod brandade was delicious as well but a bit heavy, could only eat half. Pistachio chocolate peanut ganache was the perfect end to a lovely meal. It's a visual spectacle in the best way, and service was lovely as well.
