FANCY. I reckon this is one of the fancier establish in which I have dined. World renowned chef Heinz Beck created a dining experience for the airport. Keeping in mind time constraints travelers have, he prepared a menu based on the amount of time you had. You can also order a la carte, but why bother figuring out what's best, when the answers are the offering in the menu.
I had some Euros to blow before coming back to America, so there I was in the airport eating things I had to google because the words were above my palate. My first round was an appetizer that consisted of thinly sliced fish with apple sauce. It had a FAR more enticing name. Interesting combination that worked. It came with three. I needed 10. My main course was the ravioli. It was slightly overcooked, but delicious. Lick the plate cream sauce. Last was my tiramisu. They prepare it in front of you by adding a little coffee cream to plate for decor. Part of the tiramisu seemed to have ice cream in it. While I was skeptical when I looked at it, the essence of a traditional tiramisu was present, and it was amazing.
The entire meal from start to finish was 30 minutes. Obviously the portions were small, but they give you a few pieces of much needed bread. Overall, a great experience. Service was top notch. And upon returning, I will eat here again if time permits. read more
