As like many of us do, once I started looking Facebook magically started putting adds for it on my feed for insulation companies. S.U.N. Energy was one of the first I saw. They were advertising a great special for the month of June in my area. When I researched them directly I found they had some very good views but a few things concerned me. 1. They were not local to me 2. Didn't have a lot of reviews 3. Didn't have a good rating with the BBB. I approached with caution but still reached out. I was did business with a local paver company that had an "A" rating with the BBB and it was the worst contractor experience of my life. So I gave them a shot. In all honesty they were the best insulation company that I interviewed. They gave me Free estimate over the phone. When I expressed my concerns about them not being a local company, they drove down (3 hours) to give me some face to face time. I dealt with Shawn and it was a pleasure. He thoroughly explained the process to me and multiple options for payment. No high pressure sales. He was also the team leader that showed up on time to our home to get the job done.. He and his crew were all fantastic. They made what is by nature a very messy job as manageable as possible. They took all necessary precautions and cleaned up after themselves. It was very good transaction and based on my experience I would highly recommend this group. My original concerns were completely unwarranted, even if they did come from a Facebook advertisement.

Plus they use the cheap "advantage cellulose insulation" which is cheap material. The owner quote me 69 cent per sqft which is not bad price but then added tax which I wasn't expecting it. we hired these guys after hurricane irma. they were suppose to insulate the underneath of my mobile…read morehome and put a moisture barrier also. it wasn't 4 weeks and i noticed pieces of insulation falling down. being a disabled vet i couldn't crawl underneath. we eventually found out they never finished the last third of the home. there was no insulation there. we had to contact the state of florida and the insurance commissioner to get them to come back out. our bill never went down. we hired another company this year and that's when we found out the first part of the home had the original insulation, soggy and nasty, and the old rotten moisture barrier. they never did that either. with the new insulation from the new guys, my bill has already dropped 60 bucks a month. was going to sue, but attorneys don't like small cases. just wanted my 3 grand back.
