This place is a gem! I can't wait to go back and try other things on their menu! We loved the Buratta appetizer and the pizza- the marinara is true Italian style (we ordered a bowl for dipping). The food was awesome- lasagna was SO good that we ordered a second piece! The service was top notch! See my more detailed Tripadvisor review in attached images (I wasn't able to copy for pasting after posting in there).

Margarita pizza. Very tasty!

I've been to this place a few times. The food is good, especially the margarita pizza . The service is excellent and the vibe is formal-casual. I've eat both inside and outside. Vendors will occasionally stop by to sell things if you sit outside.

Seafood pasta

A very cute ambiance, service was great and the food didn't disappoint. We ordered the Salmon Fettuccine and Seafood Pasta with the Attenti bottle of wine, followed by the cheesecake which was to die for. Both servers were attentive and nice. My only thing is that the manager intentionally avoided coming to our table to check on us multiple times, while he checked on another table (the only other table there). It was off putting and made me wonder why.

Pasta Rosa con asparago with the house made fettuccini

Such a great surprise! So glad we decided to come here or we probably wouldn't have gone to this neighborhood and would have missed out! So many cute things around to see, it's a darling part of the city, and the food was so good! 2 pasta dishes and the total with tip was only $25! I had the bolognese and mom had the pasta Rosa with asparagus. Both were phenomenal!

Great service and the atmosphere is quaint and conducive to a nice dinner with friends or loved ones. Calamari is good and Brodo di Pollo (chicken broth with tortellini). They have outdoor seating as well for nice days and evenings.

Caprese salad - delish!!!

Cute little Italian spot in a local neighborhood of DF. We were looking for something non-Mexican and thought we wld try it out. Cute patio seating, definitely caters to the locals, pet friendly, super friendly waiters. Decent wine list. The free bread & bruschetta tomatoes were delicious. The caprese salad was also pretty incredible. The pizza and pasta we ordered were ok. Nothing special. Good place for something different. Good people watching, as there was a lot of foot traffic in the evening .

This was a great little Italian place to find near my house. It's a very cute ambiance and there is plenty of outdoor seating. The menu gives many pasta and pizza options. I tried the friend meatballs as an appetizer, which was very nice. The dipping sauce was great. I got the lasagna as a main dish, and it was very good as well. The pasta nero is also very good. There was bread at the beginning of the meal too with a delicious pasta sauce. The waiters were very friendly. Overall, it was a great experience. My only complaint is the pricing is pretty high.

This minestrone was delicious
L C.

Not very attenti. Average at best, and certainly not up to CDMX standards. I went by myself after work, and ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio, the minestrone soup as a starter and a pasta with shrimp and asparagus and vodka sauce. The minestrone was excellent, flavorful, hot, beefy and delicious. However the pasta was served in a broken pile in a ridiculously small plate (not a dinner plate) with the asparagus in two long uncut spears. Served as they were, on top of a mound of pasta, made them very hard to cut or eat. There were maybe 5 shrimps in the dish, which were fresh, but seems a little skimpy to me (or should I say scampi). A nice bread selection with tomato accompaniment was served. The kicker was at the end, when I asked to have the remainder boxed and clearly asked for the check. Instead I had the desert menu thrust upon me. I know, single female, let's sell her some dessert. Well, in a long line of photos the creme brulee looked nice and I figured you can't go wrong with that so I asked for that and a tea. What arrived a couple minutes later was an absolutely monstrous pudding. It would have been enough to serve 4-5 people. I was rather surprised that after not finishing my meal and asking for the check, the manager (as it was the manager, not just a waiter who pushed the desert on me) didn't have the courtesy to mention that this dessert was enormous and suggest another. In the end I asked to have it exchanged for "anything" smaller. I got panna cotta which was completely uninteresting and rather bland. Hot tea was served with cold milk, huh?! Bad service if you ask me. Especially for someone who didn't exactly cheap out with her order of appetizer, wine, main, and dessert. Would not go back.

We took Beef Tartar for appetizer. It looked like they have it in France except for it was served with hard toasts instead of hot fries. And tasted more like a fish tartar, what I mean is that they marinated the meat with too much of lemon juice and other ingredients that go better for the fish dishes and covered the flavor of the meat here. I'd put more olive oil, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and an egg yolk, no any lemon at all. Paella with all peeled seafood was delicious. Good amount of shrimps, fish, mussels, clams and even octopus -all fresh and soft. I think they used not Arborio rice, but it looked like Jasmin rice to me. And added roasted bell peppers gave more aromas to the dish. Filet with a Roquefort sauce was tender and mild, delicate flavor, cooked to our liking - rare. It was served with grilled vegetables. They have a lot of traditional Spanish tapas, such as Pulpo a la gallega (octopus), calamari, manchego cheese, jamon, fuet etc. As well as Mediterranean style main courses: pastas, paellas, fish, seafood, poultry and meat. All that we ordered was savory, sapid and yummy. Desserts were on a tray in display. Among rice pudding, Crème Brule, chocolate tart etc - we chose traditional cheese cake. It was very appetizing. Service attentive and well-timed.

One thing to note is that the restaurant closes really early, everyday at 6pm and then I think they're not open on Mondays. The servers were super nice, they actually spoke some English to us and conversed with us about where we were from, how long we were staying, a little bit about Madrid, and then recommendations on the menu. We ended up all getting the paella valenciana, which they took our little trays and scooped individual servings for everyone from their large pan. Unforunately, because it was from the large pan that had just been cooking the entire day, the rice and meat was very dry. There was a bunch of different meats and seafood on top, including chicken, chorizo, shrimp, and clams, but they were all pretty dry. However, the portion size was pretty decent. We also ended up getting the Spanish omelette which had potatoes inside, which was pretty delicious. Overall, the restaurant was pretty nice, but unfortunately the paella was pretty dry that I wouldn't recommend going late in the day.

The hallmark of Catalan cuisine is paella, and here at Oh Madrid it is the signature dish: the…read moredemand is so great (dine in or take out) that 30-40 paella pans must be prepared daily, each given careful attention to contain just the right amount of umami zing. The secret of all good paella dishes means using just the right amount of saffron (their ample supply they protect like gold!). I had the opportunity one Sunday afternoon to watch the slow cooking process (most paellas take about an hour) through the glass display behind which I sat at the paella bar. First the frying of the meats and seafood in olive oil, then the sautéing of onions, green beans, red pimientos and bathed in a chick stock broth. When all that flavor mends together and has had a chance to gently bubble, the saffron is stirred in, bathed in a cup of white wine. The rice is added and after the rest of the hour has passed, there you have it with a sprig of rosemary lying across the top, your own paella, basked in a soft warm bed of yellow rice with the clam and mussel shells around the perimeter, the half-buried shrimp, chicken or pork spread sumptuously around the center. Vegetarian dishes are available upon request. For a special treat try the black (squid) inked paella or the socaratt style (lightly fried on the bottom). The usual tapas dishes are tasty to try: patata bravas, queso manchego, boquerones, croquetas de Jamon serrano; all together savored with a glass of red wine (Spanish of course) swirled by your tongue. Top this off with Catalan creme brûlée and your dining experience at this Condesa gem, Oh Madrid! Is complete.

So when I came back the second time, which coincidentally ended up being Thursday night football, the staff remembered me, so quickly changed the channel so I could watch football as soon as I walked in. How could I not love that? In addition to the friendly staff, the food was yummy! Juana la Loca is located in the Roma neighborhood, so is walking distance to several restaurants and bars. They have a lot to choose from on their menu, from tacos, soups, to more heartier dishes, like steak, roasted pork, etc. For both days we visited, we tried the chicken soup, a fish covered in a creamy, garlic sauce, carne asada and a BBQ pork leg that came with guac and tortillas, to make tacos. That was the best thing we ate here! Lots of good stuff to choose from. You also get complimentary bread, salsas and endless lime wedges that make everything taste better in Mexico. Plus, there was a full bar. I definitely recommend checking out Juana la Loca for the best customer service, delicious food and in case you need to find a place to watch futbol americano! They got your back here.

Not flashy for the sake of it, just really thoughtful cooking where the ingredients actually get to speak. The seasoning was dialed in across the board, which is usually where places like this can miss, but they didn't. Everything tasted clean, balanced, and precise. Technique was clearly there, but never forced. Nothing felt overworked or trying too hard to impress. It's the kind of meal where you realize halfway through that you're just enjoying everything without overanalyzing it. Wine list deserves a callout too. Really well curated, with options that pair naturally with the food instead of overpowering it. This is one of those spots that doesn't try to wow you with intensity.
