She's great at what she does and fun to chat with! The first mani started peeling about 10 days later, not surprising with all the unpacking/moving in tasks I was doing. The 2nd mani lasted really long (well past 2 weeks) given that I was not so rough on my hands. Little pricey for a mani/pedi but there is attention to detail/good service. 5 STARS - MASSAGE: I've had a couple massages with Zoe. She is amazing! Has a proper conversation at the start of each session (doesn't cut into the massage time) to get to know you and your particular ailments/reason for seeking massage. Even recommends products and services (not specific to the studio) that might help. My husband loves going to her as well, and he's a tougher critic than me when it comes to professional massage. 3 STARS - HAIR BLOWOUT: I did this once here with Emma for a special occasion. I felt there was a bit of a communication gap on what I wanted the end product to look like. She did take the time to re-do the parts I wasn't happy with, but overall I felt like my natural curly hair, blown straight, was a bit lifeless, would have liked a bit more bounce (though not full body). I MIGHT go back again for this but would better communicate upfront (better yet show a picture of what I want).

I was told before the treatment process began that it would be $50 extra because of the amount of hair I have. $149 I could live with, especially if it lasts several months and my hair is more manageable. Jen took care of me, start to finish, in two hours. She was professional, kind and I would return to the salon to have her repeat the keratin treatment in the future. I also had a chance to check out the cabana for couples massage outside in the garden. Great idea, I plan on setting up a date night for dinner and massage this summer. Overall, it is a great place with an eclectic atmosphere and friendly staff.

Just remembering it gives me the willies. While we chatted, the guy told me he had literally been hired off the street when he walked by and Karen asked, "have you ever done hair?" So after over soaking, I got to have nail polish remover strip everything that was left from my nail, at least twice, before we finally finished. It looked awful but I didn't want more nail polish remover, so I bit my tongue. I had also scheduled a pedicure and massage in this visit. I was there four hours!!! The massage was good but the pedicure as also subpar. He may have said it was his first. There was nothing fancy or nice about it. While I was spending an entire day "relaxing" here, I got to hear Karen fighting with a woman who had just had her hair colored and was upset at how it turned out. Karen kept telling her that her hair was too destroyed from straightening it while wet and frying it...and said this over and over for about forty five minutes. I wanted to like this place but it is bizarre, the staff are...I don't know where they come from, but she hires a guy to do hair and then apparently tells him to go ahead and do manicures because there is nothing to it. Anyway, I'm surprised this place is still open.
