Called early in the day. Valerie was happy to see my German Shepherd that evening. Place was clean, dog was happy, service was great, and Valerie even made an offer for me to come back for an extra brushing if she was still shedding too bad in a week. I've finally found my groomer!!! read more

My dog's neck was cut open. His neck was superglued back together (presumably not under sanitary measures). Groomer, Derrik behaved non chalant as he explained "it should heal in a few days". In the middle of the night, the glue gave way. The injury was ENORMOUS! Blood was spewing from his neck as he was also vomiting blood. He required immediate emergency attention. His neck has healed but he has a stomach ulcer from the trauma. They've not issued an apology, checked on the status of my dog nor reimbursed the medical bills incurred from their cruelty and negligence. They don't have any injury protocols, collect any veternary information including required vaccines. Atomic Dog Groomery operates with impunity. Due to their refusal to do what is right and just, I can only assume they're not bonded and insured as well. Beware! read more

Took my dog to AtomicDog in Broadview Hts. for a bath, haircut & nails trimmed. They said it would take 1 1/2 hours but they contacted us in 45 minutes. Told us the dog does not like tge hairdryer. I really don't know how they knew that as they never gave the dog a bath. The haircut was done half ass. We ask for the owner to call us but she never did. They charged us for everything they were suppose to do but didn't. I cannot honestly recommend this business.u read more

Normally ATG does a rather good job, however this last time was horrible. The dogs stunk, 3 out of 4 legs were trimmed. Paws were not trimmed, choppy cut. Ears were not trimmed, and 1 of the pups chin was not trimmed. The worse possible act was my pups was cut in 3 places under his chin AND no one said anything! I am so disappointed and did not call to them because I am so terrible angry. This was on the 27th of Fed. My vet said i need to keep an eye on the cuts. Never has this happened ever before.... read more

2 1/2 hours to groom a Shih Tzu. That means she was caged. When there's an appointment scheduled, I don't expect her to be caged at all. Searching for another groomer. In response to the owner: the groomer told me that it took longer because she had many appointments that day. It was not because my dog is a Shih Tzu as she has almost always been groomed within an hour and a half. And I saw her take my dog out of a cage, not out of a play yard. read more

I took my dog Lilly Bean there two times to get her nails done. I cannot believe how quick and remarkable they are here. When I took Lily to her vet for her nails she was screaming and screeching and howling and freaking out. But when I bring her here, I hold her, one girl distracts her by holding her face by talking to her and making kisses, while the other clips her nails and Lilly doesn't even know what's going on. it's a system that works! We are in and out of there in less than 10 minutes and the price is unbeatable. I truly highly recommend this place. read more

I cannot even give a one star rating!! Our dog was there for over 5 hours and NOTHING was done when we picked up. While picking up our dog, the groomer left a dog on the table unattended and she didn't care about the dog. Manager didn't do anything to fix the issues. Please find another grooming place!!!!!!! read more

My dog was there for almost 4 hours and I'm pretty sure he did not have access to water the whole time. He came home and drank almost his entire large mixing bowl immediately. When I went to pick him up he was caged where he could see me and he went crazy. He has seperation anxiety so his reaction doesn't surprise me, but the groomer rang up the customer in front of me and brought out her dog who had not been caged while my dog is clearly distressed. No other customers dogs appeared to be caged, and while my dog is loud he is not aggressive or anything of that nature. She goes to get my dog and while transferring him back to our collar she loses him and he bolts to me. Luckily he didn't get out front door. They cut off his beautiful grinch feet tufts even though I specifically said do not trim any fur at all, several times. They said they got rid of all his mats but his tail is still matted (though I admit he otherwise looks beautiful). They quicked all his nails and he won't let me touch his feet. When dropping my dog off I told her that if he seemed overly stressed to skip the nails because I can do them myself, but this was brushed off. I also said if he seems really upset I'm fine with you stopping the grooming half completed and calling me, no problem, I'd rather do multiple sessions than have him traumatized. She said she would use her judgement, which she clearly didn't. Do not recommend. read more

You call for an appointment at any given time and they don't answer the phone. If you leave a message eventually they call back, but people don't sit by their phone waiting. If I then am busy and I call back I get voicemail again bc again they won't answer the phone and it goes back and forth. Apparently their time is more valuable than anyone else's. This is terrible customer service. I'll go to a groomer who wants to take an appointment. read more

Since Valarie has left I am very disappointed in the work done on my dog. I took him there before going to Florida. I took him to a local groomer in Florida and they told me they usually do not criticize other groomers, but he had a terrible haircut. I'm sorry to say I will not be going back with my dogs. I wish I could find Valarie. She is a great groomer. read more

Brought my dogs in for grooming today. The owner did our dogs and nicked the nails on one of the dogs. Said that that dog was in a mood today and she was exhausted from doing the dog well maybe if she did not nick her nails our dog would not have been in a mood. The other dog she did her hair cut was very patchy and uneven. I had to cut her tail when she got home because it was so uneven. Have been getting my dogs groomed for the last 6 years by a prior women who unfortunately retired. I would not recommend this place. read more

I took my older dog for the first time to Atomic Dog. He is used to going to the groomer since he was a young pup. BEWARE PEOPLE. The owner told me she was going to do my dog and did not and the girl Kelly obviouly has no skill or training when it comes to grooming animals. MY dog was so traumatized by this place and I will explain why. 2. I was called to come pick up my dog after only 40 minutes . 3. I walk in and my dog is trying to climb out of the place once his leash is on, 4. it looked like he was never brushed there was so much dead hair still on him and another worker and come and try to brush out some more but there was so much more that needed to come out, so we agreed I would bring him back the following week. Fine right. NOT SO. I get in the car with my dog and we start driving and he puts his paw on my shoulder and I see blood coming out of his nails, three of them and the others are cut close and very jagged. I turn my car around and go back to Atomic Dog and ask who did this to my dog. The owner and another girl was there and the owner never even came over to see the damage to my dog. The only thing the manager did was to tell the other person to put some powder on the dog and give her back all her money. This is how you treat "Customers like family." I am taking my dog to my vet tomorrow. Let's see how close Customers and Family are. Andrea P 04/18/2019 read more

I have a 7 month old puppy that does not dowell with bath or the face being touched with anything. He is scared of blow dryer noise and he does not like things being blown in his face. I found this place because I wanted to find a place where I was able to stay in a place while my fur baby got groomed . After calling several places I found this place and the lady told me it was okay for me to stay so I decided to try this place out. I have been to another groomer where I was able to stay and watch but the place didn't handle my fur baby the way I would have liked them to . This place is about 40 mins from my house but I wanted to go where i could stay with my fur baby . I came here on a thursday afternoon and upon walking in it already felt warm and cozy. The decor and setup is really nice in there as well. There were few other dogs that were in there and they looked happy, clam, and clean. After arriving and getting things settled she took my fur baby for a bath and blow dry. You could hear her talk as cleaned him up. I told her the situation where he is not good with bath or blow dry. And the entire time she took the time to praise him, keep him calm, and keep saying " its okay ". Just something like I would do. Immediately I felt very comfortable with her knowing how my fur baby acts and the way she was handling him. After the bath she took him in the station where she trimmed, cut, and clipped his nails. And she handled my fur baby very well. This place is comforting, clean, and caring. I am very much impressed and I say highly that she knows what she is doing and how well she can took care of my fur baby. The price is beyond reasonable as well. I found a place for my fur baby where I am comfortable and where someone is caring and thoughtful for their customer and fur baby needs. I highly recommend this place for your fur babies that are maybe afraid or isn't good with grooming places. read more

This was our second visit. My daughter never got a call to pick up our pup, so she called the groomer and asked if she was ready. The groomer said yes and when my daughter picked her up she had a wrap around her paw. Why wasn't she told about the wrap when she called? Better yet, why didn't they call? My daughter was given the instructions to leave the wrap on as long as possible. What does that mean? One hour? One day? One week? My daughter said she asked and was not given any clarification and that the lady seemed nervous. So I called and spoke to someone named Kelly. I was told that my dog was too excited while in the crate and ripped her nail. Hmmmm! She's just over two years old and has been groomed about 6/7 times, including this time. She does scratch in a crate if she doesn't want to be in there. But never has she made herself bleed. when I removed the wrap it had a napkin under it ,not gauze. I did leave a message to speak with the owner. She did call back and left me a message In return. She said that because our pup was matted she was very squirmy and her Nail was cut too short. The stories don't even match. That alone is worth the low rating, but this time the haircut was also horrible. It looks like I did it myself, which is not good. Her face is totally uneven and looks like she is missing half a cheek. It's too bad because this location was convenient. My pup will not be back. I included a pic of my pup and the receipt, in case they try to report as a false review like I saw they did with someone else. THIS IS NOT A FALSE REVIEW! I had a appointment on April 13, 2019 at 11:00 am & have bank statement to prove it - I took my 2 schnauzers to get groomed and both dogs came out with different cuts. 1 of them was shaved so close on his back that it was red and raw. Will not take my dogs here again. - Then this place reports you as a false review on Yelp because they are not happy with your review read more
