This is a full service gas station. The prices are not Midtown prices but still pricey. The service is great which is probably added onto the sticker price....but hey it beats, pumping your own gas, and not running out of gas on the highway, which will ruin your probably, already hectic day! The downside to this gas station is you have to backup into on coming traffic, and that is pretty dangerous. It's a tight space. No room to pull in the opposite way. Only one way in. Tip: Get enough gas from here to last you 4-5 miles over to the Major Deegan, North bound side past Yankee Stadium next to the Police precinct. Full service gas, half price usually $2.85, and the gas is good quality, easy to get back onto the highway. Tip 2: The cheapest gas in all of NYC is in the Borough of Brooklyn @Atlantic & Bedford $2.79

But if your tire is flat or damaged you must come here. Off to the side there's a little garage. The guy who works it is a magician. The machines function well and the overall station is clean and well lit. The staff is usually friendly, if you must pay with cash, but if paying by card you don't really need them. The configuration of the entrances make entering a little awkward, especially if it's your first time. It is tucked away into a circular, often desolate, drive that leads to an intersection between St Nicholas Avenue and Manhattan Avenue. However, since it is in a corner, this should not be a huge issue. It is rarely full, in my experience, but the wait time is little to none during the late afternoon/early evening times. However, this may be due to the location. Overall, I am glad that this station is here for my, and the community's, use.
