They helped us decide what was the best option for us and completed the job very quickly. They even came out to fix one spot that we didn't like with out hesitation or question. The only thing we thought was odd was when they came to the house to get the payment. We thought we would mail it but she wanted it right then. Not a huge deal for us but we've never done that before. We are very happy with the end product. It is a beautiful stamped concrete patio and sidewalk.

It took his crew TWO MONTHS to install a small home steel roof. During that time we had several leaks and the crew leader shook it off saying "I have insurance" as if to say "not my problem we cannot keep a schedule or install roofing correctly". Called Mike several times to get this corrected and the crew showed up at my house upset because I called their boss! Mike had also promised some "gift cards" to make up for the inconvenience (never saw them, was happier to see the crew finally leave). And lastly, we are still having issues with our porch roof leaking and they never bothered to even email, phone concerning the issue. My advice from our experience is to steer clear of this contractor at all costs!

They added a few minor details when items were found and needed altered. The crew cleaned up the workspace very well and made due the area was safe Do not hesitate to use these guys to hire for a deck. If you are considering hiring Atlas Carpentry, I urge you to find another contractor. In January…read more2024, we hired them to enclose our back porch to make it a sunroom. They failed in nearly every aspect of this project. What was to be a 5-week job, extended out to 12-weeks when they were fired with a good amount of work not completed, materials paid for not supplied, AND the work that was completed was not that of a professional contractor. They did not have inspections done (even though we were charged for permits). Poor design, poor execution, poor business practices. We are left with hiring someone reputable to almost completely redo the work. There are MULTIPLE FIRE HAZARDS and code violations. I wish I could list it all. We obviously failed to speak up in time to make a difference. We will be pursuing legal action soon against them. We thought we did ample due diligence prior to hiring them. We made a huge mistake. I'd be willing to bet many of their glowing reviews have been paid for. These are not craftsmen, they are hacks. If you do choose to use them, hold back as much money as you can and don't let them 'Take it off the LAST payment'. We were lied to on multiple occasions. On their website they use the tag line, "We build dreams", for us they built an expensive nightmare.

Came out and started work the very next day…read more However. It felt quite manipulative that a couple of hours after we agreed on the price and extent of repairs, 'Johnny' called to say that he felt it best to replace the whole roof. This meant way more money, way more time, and taking off shingles that there's nothing wrong with them - 80-90% of the roof would've lasted another 20-30 years. He hinted that he would no longer be willing to do the job unless I agreed to have the whole roof replaced. Then, during FULL ROOF REPLACEMENT, the Mexican guys who work for him drilled a big hole in the ceiling, through the drywall; and then they dropped a big crowbar tool through the skylight, gouging a couple holes in the hardwood floor. When I told him about these incidents, his charming demeanor was gone - he looked doubtful, repeatedly asked if I was sure the hole wasn't there before, and clearly didn't want to be responsible for dealing with it. The ceiling drywall had to be repainted, which was a whole thing, because they used shiny instead of matte paint; then the color was wrong so they had to paint a couple of walls... and instead of having their most proficient guys do it, they were using the opportunity to teach their younger guys to paint - so it was a mess, and I strongly felt I needed to oversee them working and make corrections, or they'd damage something else. (Like getting paint on the floors, windows, and trim). I was quite busy with other things around this time and didn't enjoy having to do this. The damage to the floor was not fixed to satisfaction, (they had no idea what to do) but at that point I just wanted them all out of the house. After everything, I had to remind Johnny multiple times to send the warranty... Finally, as a side note: it is not super professional to - (in front of the customer - during a job) - act annoyed at or even argue with your WIFE , on the phone, when she calls. Just sayin'.

I wish I could speak highly of the job done, considering the amount of money that was put into it, the way that Eric treated my wife, and the overall experience, but I can't. Maybe you'll be able to, though? The work itself is at best fine in some areas, but there are many issues that Eric refused to address before wrapping up the project. Once he felt he was done, our questions/issues no longer mattered. The amount of money spent on the project led us to believe that it would be better. The experience was not smooth. The way that Eric treated my wife, if he was ever actually on site with his helper, was less than ideal and only seemed to happen if I wasn't around. Ultimately, I think Eric wanted the job to be what only he wanted it to be and did not like our ideas or hopes, which didn't sit well with us, considering our position in funding it and communicating clearly in many of our preferences. There are plenty of 5-star reviews that will drown out this one singular negative, but very honest, review. ***The helper that he did have doing the bulk of his work, Carlos, is deserving of a separate review because he was great.

When Dan came to do our free estimate, we quickly noticed he was thee most focused and thorough contractor that came to our house. He went inside, outside, looked in closets, the basement and anywhere else he could to try to figure out how he was going to tie the plumbing lines up to the third floor in the least invasive way possible. Then he quickly drew up in his head the best layout for the bathroom leaving enough space for a walk in closet on the other side. Then he gave us the most thorough estimate that very night, not to mention lower than any other contractor came in at. Throughout the whole job they were very dependable, respectful, trustworthy and hard working. The job finished with a few minor changes we decided together to make the job look high end without going over budget.
