Our experience with Atlas Appliances was extremely disappointing. Their President, Gary Dhanjal refused to discuss our deep dissatisfaction with the product nor the 35" long scratch left by their installer Andrew on the kitchen floor. He declined to accept phone calls, return voice messages and emails. I believe he demonstrated a profound disregard for his customers satisfaction and dealt in bad faith. Even when dealing with our complaint through the Bettter Business Bureau Mr. Dhanjal failed to address of issue of damage to the floor. Nor did he offer a reasonable solution to our dissatisfaction with the appliance recommended by his salesman. His response was that we could purchase a new unit at full price and they would give us nothing for the one just bought. This experience has lead me to conclude that Mr. Dhanjal does not care about his customers satisfaction or take responsibility for his employees mistakes. Our LG dryer stopped working and I called Atlas appliance repair. They set up an appointment with me in Strathmore. They showed up when they said they would with a courtesy call before hand from the technician. After finding the issue the technician did not have the part on board to replace it. He had their service dept. search for the part and said they would call me to set up a return service call. The technician called ahead to let us know he was on the way for the scheduled time. The repair was completed and we couldn't be happier with the service and especially the tech. His name is Al and he was very efficient and knowledgeable. We were extremely disappointed by Atlas' lack of reliability: we booked a service appointment a week in advance for Atlas to examine our malfunctioning washing machine. On the day of the appointment, the technician called in the morning to confirm the appointment. However, the technician never showed up and, after the scheduled arrival had passed, a representative then called to inform us that the technician was unavailable and provided no explanation. The representative offered to rebook but only offered a date in seven days time. When stressing that this appointment had already been booked for a week, the representative offered no earlier date. Obviously we would not recommend a business that shows such disregard for its customers' time. read more

I can't express how happy I was to find Atlas Appliances. We used a recommended service provider for our Dacor microwave and was told after 2 visits that we needed a new motherboard (US $600). I contacted Atlas and after speaking with Fred brought our microwave to their service department. I was able to pick up the microwave the next day fixed for $156.45. Fred was great to work with and very informative. No question I would highly recommend them for any appliance that needs servicing. Worst service ever... I'd give them zero stars but the app doesn't let me. Atlas say they warranty the parts they sell but don't try to collect. I recently purchased a controller Board from Atlas Appliances. When I picked up the part the box and plastic packaging had been opened. When I asked them about it, the guy behind the counter said take it or leave it. Nit, can we order you one that hasn't been opened. He assured me they warranty the parts they sell for 90 days. When I installed the part it didn't work at all DOA. When I called to ask they said they wouldn't refund the part. Don't do business with these shady people. The glass broke on the inside of my oven. It was under warranty. I was told it would take a while to order in because it was coming from the US. I figured I would not be doing any Christmas baking this year. The glass came in about 2 weeks ago and I arranged to have service come to repair it. Mike (our repairman) called first thing in the morning and told me what time he would be there which was between 1-3. He then called about 12:45 to tell me he would be there close to 1:30 pm. He arrived on time and was very efficient in putting in the new glass. Easy to talk to as well I might add. Thanks to Mike, Christmas baking is now underway! read more

Despite ultimately doing a good job fixing our dishwasher, urgency and customer service are not in their vocabulary. Although the repair guy who ultimately completed the work was great. He dealt with my frustration over the previous guy very well. 3+ weeks to fix an appliance is a pretty long wait. On the surface they appear quite processional, and I think much of my frustration with this company stems from their wasting my time, with a scheduled fix time that never occurred, followed by a week wait for the next appointment. Which was an unnecessary diagnostic (to a known issue) followed by another week waiting for a part and install. All this for warranty service. By comparison I called another firm (not covered by warranty) they came the next day and could have been back the next day with the part to install. Of course that would not be covered by my warranty. So thinking I could save time with a diagnosis and a part number of the broken part, I went back to the company offering the warranty. They would not order the broken part with out their own diagnostic - delaying the process another 2 weeks. Logic and customer service - lose out to rigid process without concern for customers. if you don't mind waiting three weeks for a 2 day job, or waiting all day for a repair guy to not show up, then by all means deal with these folks. Unfortunately, I am stuck with them until my warranty period from Trail Appliance (who subcontracts to these guys) expires. I can tell you I will not buy from Trail Appliance if these guys are their warranty provider. read more

I called on Monday morning and the soonest available appt I could book was for Friday. I felt as though I didn't have much choice, as the repair I was requesting was for an LG washing machine, which most companies don't repair. I work full-time, therefore making it necessary for me to arrange someone to be at my house for the 3:00-5:00 window of arrival. At 3:30, Jason called me to tell me he had a migraine and needed to cancel the appt, but he assured me he would be there first thing the next morning. I immediately called the company to see if any other employee could fill in. I spoke with Fred. He promised me he would have someone at my house for 8 am the following day (Saturday). At 9:30, (yes, I was patient), I called Altas, only to be told that all repair appts for the day had been cancelled as the guy was sick, and that all customers were notified. Except me!!! (Oh, and Fred's promise of having a guy over at 8am Saturday was a huge overpromise, as I learned today that their office doesn't even open until 9am!!) Fred rebooked me for Monday at 9:30. This would mean I would have to take time off from work, but I still took the appt. I lost all hope in Atlas, so I called LG. They guaranteed me a 4-6 appt on Tuesday. I took it. Atlas did NOT show up for their 9:30 appt (surprise, surprise)... BUT!!! They did leave a voicemail for me on Tuesday confirming my 4-6 appt that day... wtf?!?! I'm not kidding you. This has been comical. I have absolutely no idea how this company runs. When Atlas arrived, (15 mins before LG), I had a good conversation with Jason about the ridiculousness of my experiences with this company. He simply nodded his head and said "I understand". I asked him to leave. LG arrived shortly after. They were fabulous. I had no issues, and was surprised at the low cost. Two week update: Someone from Atlas responded to my review in their Facebook account, saying they'd have someone contact me. No one has of yet. read more

I bought a fridge from Atlas over 5 weeks ago. We were told 7 to 10 days for it to arrive. Ok, no problem. 3 weeks later, no fridge and no phone call as to where it is. We call them, we're told that its back ordered and it'll be another 5 business days. We wait another 7 business days to call because yet again nobody called to inform about where the fridge is and when it might be in. 3 days ago we call again and are told the fridge would be here in a day or 2 and we'd get a call to schedule a delivery. 3 days later no fridge and no phone call updating us as to what is going on. That brings us to today. Several phone calls later without anyone calling us back we decide to drive down there to cancel the order. I brought up the poor customer service and received excuses and no apology. We won't be shopping there again. read more

Reasons I will not hire Atlas Appliances in the future - 1 - Rude reception staff 2 - Unreasonable wait times 3 - Expensive 4- Very poor customer service approach. I had a problem with my washer in my spa business at the end of December. I called Atlas to book service call. I was promised on 10 days later. 10 days is a LONGGGGG time when your washer at the spa isn't working. If service calls are to be booked 10 - 12 days away, it would be nice to receive a reminder call. Anyways, we had it repaired in the meantime. On the day of the service call, a kind man came in - went straight to the washer and came back to the reception area saying he fixed the item. (Remember, it had already been repaired and was working fine.) He said that he replaced the drain pump. It took him all of 10 minutes. He asked for payment, and was frustrated that we wanted to pay by credit card. I found this very odd, especially that we hadn't been notified when booking that they would like cheque or cash. Once the repairman left, the machine stopped working - within minutes!! I called Atlas and was dealt with aggressively. The receptionist advised that she could only guarantee a booking for another service call to correct what he had done about 10 days away. I spent 10 mins trying to get her to guarantee me that he could come out the next day, but she refused to. She also refused to offer any kind of solution. She was extremely unhelpful. I had my machine repaired by another company. I will not hire Atlas again, nor would I ever recommend them. read more

Last week I had a GE combination/washer/dryer delivered from Home Depot. Our washer had a very very loud noise when it was on spin. Atlas technician (Mike) came out and found we had a faulty transmission. He was prompt, knew his job. I would highly recommend Atlas Appliances. read more

VERY UPSET today! Avoid calling Atlas Appliances for repairs on appliances! Have been here about 4 times working on a 20 year old dryer and they CANNOT figure out the problem. I was told today that my dryer works (basically that I'm a liar). Property management people have also sent handymen, duct maintenance people as well. It took three 50 min cycles to dry large load of towels. I'm just going to buy my own! Haven't ever been treated so badly, please pass this along! read more

2 service calls didn't fix the issue with my GE Profile Fridge. The tech's solution was to simply replace the control board at the back of the fridge. Unfortunately, this didn't fix the issue. I finally resolved the issue myself by doing a ton of searching on the internet. One site had a detailed troubleshooting guide that involved measuring the resistance of a few components. I bought a cheap multimeter, ran the tests and found the issue (faulty thermistor). The Atlas tech should have done this as part of the service call, but didn't. He took the easy route. Go elsewhere for GE fridge repair or do it yourself. read more

I was having a problem with my dishwasher and had a Sears technician come out to assess situation. He told me that a part was corroded and needed to be replaced. He even showed me said part. It was going to take week or so for the part to come in. Then it was another 2 weeks before he could come replace it. I got tired of waiting. I did some checking on the internet and found the part I needed. Called Atlas Appliance. The parts guy knew exactly what I was talking about. So I rolled on down to the shop. The parts guy was so helpful. He even showed me how it should be replaced. H said anyone could do it. The part was less expensive than a couple other places I called in town including Sears. The store is bright, clean, and has a nice variety of appliances. I had a look around while I was there. The staff is very nice and helpful which is what you want. I'd totally go back if I needed anything else for appliances. read more

My dishwasher door has broke. I called Atlas and was told a repair appointment would be at least 10 days. Heather whom I spoke to suggested we try and fix it ourselves. I gave her the model number of my dishwasher (which was a Kenmore) and she gave me the part number. She checked and it was in stock. I was nervous about trying to repair it ourselves but she said just google the part number and there should be a video on how to complete the repair. Voila - hubby picked up the part and fixed the door - all for $38. I really appreciated Heather's help and advice. Saved us a bunch of money and we got it done quickly. We have used Atlas before (maybe 2 years ago) which is why I called them. I'm super impressed that they suggested we try the repair ourselves. I used this company to repair our wine cooler / fridge. WHAT A USELESS BUSINESS. Their website motto is "customer satisfaction is our number one priority" They did nothing to provide this and completely forgot I am the customer. I called them 3 times to eventually get someone to come out. Then John came out and pressed the reset button and charged me for it. I could have hit the reset button for free. He then came back and said he could not take the fridge away with him because it was too heavy. Well that's not my problem. Don't be in the business of repairing fridges if don't have the facilities to take them away. I repeatedly try to make arrangements to get the fridge back - they have had it for months. I finally get an appointment. ON THE DAY, John phones to say he cannot deliver the fridge unless I arrange someone to help him. So we cancel and I make an appointment for today when my husband flies in from TO. I said to come after 2:00 pm to be sure hubby is home in case his plane is late. Now today he says he can only come at 1:00 and cannot be any later. He put the phone down on me when I raised my voice at him even though I have a right to be angry. His work ethic is pathetic and getting to be a lot like a lot of other people these days. Mary on the phone desk is sweet and tries to be helpful. Had a hard time finding a part for my LG washer. Was happy to find out that Atlas could order one in and would only take a few days. That was the only time I felt happiness dealing with Atlas! Part came in, went to pick it up. Asked the lady to confirm that this was indeed my part because it had a spout for "steam", which my washer doesn't have. She said yes and gave me a plug and a clamp for it. Got home, measured the door boot against the original...a lot larger. Called the next morning to confirm again, same lady, that this was indeed my part. She assured me it was. About two hours later I get a frantic call from Atlas saying that they have mistakenly given me someone else's part. They call again an hour later. I returned to the store only to be helped by rudest employee I have ever encountered!!!!! No apologies, no "we like to offer you something to compensate for the hassle", NOTHING. All the older man kept saying was "I can give you a full refund if you don't want it" and made a bunch of excuses as to what happened, never once accepting that it was their mistake. I explained I had tried to confirm several times that the part was mine and that the steam valve should've indicated it wasn't. Again he said "I can give you a full refund if you don't want it". Of course I want it, I don't have a washer. If I could've found the part somewhere else without a 3 week wait, believe me I would've returned it. It is now almost week later and I have tried numerous times to get the owner/manager to call me about my experience and no one has returned my call. Poor customer service in the store and poor customer service from the owner/manager for not following up. read more
