After just a few sessions, I was able to get my daughter to attempt words that I would say - a perceived impossibility just weeks earlier. My daughter started her journey with Cassie saying only 15 words; a few months later, we are counting well into the hundreds. Speech therapy became a highlight of my daughter's week almost immediately after we started - it's become a true highlight of my week as well. The sundowning was something our family had struggled with for a long time, and watching them handle those moments with such patience was a relief we didn't know we needed. Our father received that same level of thoughtful, personalized attention through his stroke recovery. Low staff turnover, consistent communication was really important to us and Langland House was so reliable. It was the perfect environment that made my parents feel like they were still at home, rather than a facility. The decision had to be made on a very short notice and I must say, Langland House provided them an excellent care. The staff is amazing and not only made the residents comfortable but made them feel at home. Not only the staff constantly had their eye on the residents but were watchful for their safety and comfort. Based on what I observed with all the residents everyone enjoyed the food and the type of care each one needed. Both received their medications on time, the medications were ordered every month on a very easy to track system so the family did not have to worry and run-around in panic at the last minute. Staff took each resident for a walk either outside or made them walk inside as part of a daily routine. Langland House is nicely designed with lots of windows facing east, west and south. The light into the common areas and the bedrooms and high ceilings brought a very peaceful setting / feeling not only for the residents but anyone of the family visiting the facility. I would highly recommend considering this Langland House facility on Densmore Ave N in Seattle for any family member if their family member is in need for such a facility.

This really acts like a turbo boost to your chid's speaking capabilities. This is a very well run organization that really deserves the donations for its cause. This daycare is top notch! We've had our 22 month old son there for the last 9 months and have…read morebeen extremely happy. He was going to another daycare prior, which seemed fine at the time, but we didn't know what we were missing until he started here. The teachers are amazing- he has Emma and Alyce right now- and they plan specific activities every day that encourage learning, positive development, and socialization. The kids learn things that prepare them for school, like the ABC's, numbers, colors, and shapes. They also learn potty training, hand washing, cleaning up after themselves, and dressing themselves. There's also plenty of art/ craft time and free play. His classroom has a yoga teacher that comes occasionally as well as a Spanish teacher. The facility has a great outdoor play yard and the kids get outside twice a day. Our son is so excited to go to daycare and hugs his teachers when he sees them. The last place he would cry when I dropped him off, which I thought was normal, but now realize he didn't get the same attention there as he does here. My husband and I get email updates nearly every day telling us what went on in his class that day and they often send photos and pointers with how to deal with certain situations at home (potty training, toddlers that hit, etc.) which is amazing. NOTE: Since I wrote this review I started my younger son in the infant classroom and I don't get those update so it's just Emma and Alyce who do this. Hopefully in the future other teachers will do this too. Another perk about this place is the numerous family activities that are available for the parents and kids. There have been dinner gatherings, family yoga classes, a family day at the zoo, an early literacy workshop, as well as a few "parents night out" where they will watch your child in the evenings for a donation to the teachers who volunteer to do that. I'm changing review because initially I felt the only negative was that the food wasn't as healthy as it could be, but it's much better now- maybe they say this review and changed it? Anyway, they do feed healthy options that include vegetables and fruits now so that's nice. I could pay a little extra for organic milk at my son's last daycare (this was one of the few positive things from that place), but I don't still don't have that option here unfortunately. This is a small negative considering all the positives. The other negative I previously mentioned is that they didn't take credit cards, but they also changed this. There's a fee which is a percent of what you pay of course, so I don't actually use my card because the extra cost adds up.
