Here are a few issues: Ceiling tiles are falling off Dirty washing/drying machines Floors are disgusting Employees are using 90% of the machines leaving the clients waiting and fighting over machines $9 for a medium machine, and they can't even have it clean, is RIDICULOUS Trash cans are overflowing When a machine is out of order, they expect us to read the out-of-order message that appears on the machine itself This place is literally falling apart but they keep increasing the prices Machines do not work, and clothes are still dirty and not dry after 50 minutes At this point is just LAZYNESS!!! the Super wash on Bedford ave in Clinton Hill is one of the worst laundromats in Brooklyn . the floors are dirty , no customer service . They leave dryers full of already dried cloths in the machines when there are no other machines available. when asked that you need a dryer they say it's for store use only and have to wait for a dryer on the other side . read more

This has to be dropped to a three star review. (#sorrynotsorry) This laundromat is clean, spacious, and the machines are easy to use. The down side? If you get there at the wrong time, you'll be hustling to find a dryer. A few things of note: The employees are friendly but use almost an entire wall (and then some) of dryers leaving them unavailable for customer use. I understand needing to get dropped-off laundry done, as it's a source of income for the store. But do you have to do it in the middle of 'rush hour' on a Saturday??? Killin' me. Three times I've dropped off clothes for dry cleaning. Twice, my jacket was clean and ready to go day-of. But third times the charm. Took pants in and even though I waited an extra two days, when I arrived, they hadn't even started cleaning them. What? Then they told me I'd need to wait another two days. Nah, girl. We ain't about that life. They *eventually* said they'd get them done in the next four hours. Still made me pay full price and I still had to wait 2.5 days longer than I should have. A couple months ago, two of the owners/high up management (males) got into a fist fight with a 20 year old female. So, that was eventful. Cops were called. While I have no clue how it ended, seriously, if you own the joint (or manage it), you should be able to cool and calm down a situation, not escalate it. Jesus. Prices have gone up in the last two years. $2.79 for small dryer, only 3 dryer points instead of four, and $0.30/8 mins in the dryer after points have been used. Just takin' allllll my money. So, all in all, it's been pretty great for covering all my regular needs. I can wash clothes, dry them, and get home in 1.5-2 hours. Try not to hang around or get invested in any other part of it though. Keep your dry cleaning out of here, pinch your pennies, and dear god try not to start a fight with mgmt because they get down. First week in a new town, and I had to find a laundromat. To sum it up, I'm really glad that I chose this one. Off the bat: Leave your plastic at home, cash is king in this establishment - in a way. To actually operate the vending machines, you are required to purchase a $1.00 card (weird, but also a one-time charge) that you can load with funds (also bought in cash.) Washing earns your card "points", which go towards free dryer time - I found the points I earned from one load entirely sufficient to dry it for free. It's a clean, spacious place, with lots of machines, and only slightly too few carts. It's a bit loud, but I didn't really mind that. Excitingly, it's got an arcade game machine and several vending machines to keep you busy while you wait - including an ice cream vending machine! Again, everything takes cash. (Including the wifi, which costs another dollar - but I wasn't there long enough to want it.) It's the closest laundromat to me, and I see no reason to explore further. I'll be back! read more

Laundromats are just never a good time..... Who wakes up and says "Yay! I wanna wash clothes today. Love this place. I live right across the street from it, so it's super convenient. Yays: Free full cycle of drying with every load of laundry you wash. Clean A good amount of washers and dryers so chances are you will never have to wait to do your laundry. They have an ice cream machine yo! 24 hour full service on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You pay for your laundry with a re-loadable card. I was given mine by the former tenant of the apartment I now live in, but I don't think they're more than 10 bucks. Nays: Usually a lot of kids running around, but that's easily avoidable if you go later -- especially in the middle of the night, drunk, on a Saturday. You can only put cash on the wash card. (5) They've eliminated coinage issues with the vendor cards. None of the workers wear masks or enforce mask-wearing or social distancing. It is rare that any customer is wearing a mask either. Sucks because this is the only convenient place to get laundry done without coins and always has available machines but not worth the safety during a global pandemic while people wear masks around their chins. Very clean. I'm here on a Saturday afternoon and there are still plenty of available machines. You have to buy a card which costs $1 and you can only fill it with bills - no quarters. There is an ATM on premises. Small machines are $2.75, midsize are $4.75, large are $5.75. There's free dry but it's based on how many lbs of laundry you've washed. There's a tiny parking lot out front which was nice when I rolled up with 3 huge bags. I'll definitely come back. read more

Never had an issue before today, but also I've never had to speak to anyone that works here. So, they have these preloaded cards. You put money on it for the wash and you get points for the dryer. I have used this system 50 or more times without fail. When you put the card in it shows you the deducted amount and the load begins. After two loads swiped I'm following the remaining balance and I have enough for my next load, so I swipe and the amount was deducted. I go to add more money and when I get back I see my load didn't start. While I understand there is no paper trail to verify that the money was taken out, the woman was completely unwilling to hear me out. She just told me the card didn't have enough money. Ok fine I lost out on 6.50, but the real problem is she started swipping my card on my remaining loads before I had even selected the temperature setting or put soap in. So now all the loads are being washed on cold. Then she started talking about me in Spanish, I know Spanish.... let's just say not the best customer service. read more

STOLEN DESIGNER T-SHIRT. Do NOT get your clothes dry cleaned here unless you want them stolen and unaccounted for!!!! We were hesitant to get expensive shirts dry cleaned in the first place due to risk of theft, but we had used this service for machine washing before and figured it was ok. We submitted a request for 9 shirts to be dry cleaned. Only 8 shirts were returned to us, and the man claimed he only received 8 in the first place. We have the documentation to prove it. If we requested a ticket for 9 shirts to be cleaned and only 8 were given to the service, wouldn't we have gotten a call for the discrepancy in items? Some sort of professionalism to make sure they had the order right? They didn't bother because the shirt was obviously STOLEN. It was a one of a kind shirt, and had more sentimental value to us as it was an anniversary present. We will NEVER use this place again and I can only hope that anyone who cares about their clothing won't either. We will be spreading the word to everyone we know in the area to never use this service! Unprofessional and criminal. I would give this place five stars if it were not for the fact that I am in here right now and the caretakers have their three screaming hyper children running through the laundromat chasing each other and hitting each other with balloons. I almost feel like scolding these children because they parents are just laughing at them and its been ongoing for over an hour. When you spend 2+ hours in an establishment, you never want to hear screaming. This isn't a one time deal either, last time I was here, these young children were running around as well, again screaming. This is the newest, cleanest and most pleasant laundromat in this area of Bed Stuy, so much so that I walk 6 long blocks with my huge granny cart here in lieu of going one block to the one by me. Why they allow their entire family to congregate as if its their backyard is beyond me. They also take up four of the 12 chairs in this entire facility. There are balls bouncing as I finish this statement. Get rid of the kids and this place is great. read more

I arrived on a Saturday morning around 10am and found that it was minimally packed- definitely plenty of machienes and dryers to use. The laundry clerk was very helpful and explained the "Free Dryer" aspect to me. Pricing: Washer Size/ Price/# mins free dryer 18lbs/$2.50/32mins 40lbs/$4.75/40mins 50lbs/$5.75/48mins each additional 8mins is 0.25. The Free drying definitely helps save cost!! I asked them to redo the shirt When I went to pick up a second time there was a new stain near where they treated the existing stains. Yay! This is my laundry spot! The CLEANEST laundromat in the area ....hands down! The employees are friendly and always keeping the place in top condition. They usually have 2 TVs going with some sort of American Idol mindless show on (which is great for zoning out!) They have small medium and large machines that range from $2.50 to $5.75 - I have NEVER had to pay for a dry (you get points depending on how much you spend washing) so I usually put $20 on my card and that lasts usually 3 times and I have a lot of clothes! They also have a B A T H R O O M (yay!) and sometimes I go to the grocery store down the street while I wait or get a happy hour beer at Beast of Bourbon. Highly recommend :) read more

It's deceptive to have "24 HOURS" outside your establishment when this is only the case for Friday and Saturday nights. The last wash is 9 PM on Sunday through Thursday. Regarding the hours, you should be wary that this place is a small business and closes when they want, making their last wash time anywhere from 8:30 to 9:10 PM depending on who is managing. The place is spacious, usually clean and orderly, does the job of washing and drying your clothes just okay. I've had a couple instances where black stains and chewing gum get onto my clothing in the dryer from previous washers, etc. You've been warned. read more

I'm so happy with this place. I'm new to the area and was planning to explore a few different laundromats to find one that was decent. I'm going to be coming back here for sure. I came in having no idea what the process is, but the staff were extremely helpful and friendly when it came to purchasing a card and detergent. The washers are easy to use and very efficient and the free dry time is the cherry on top of an awesome experience. Tons of seating, nice background music and plenty of vending machines and games to keep you entertained should you see the need for it. Highly recommended! read more

She literally said I cannot help you and then stared at me as I try to clean up huge puddle of water. And this is not the first time this happened. Your wash machines do not drain correctly. A disclaimer: i think its worth noting that i have NEVER felt compelled to post a review on yelp, good or bad. I just don't get inspired by my consumer experiences enough, i guess. My experience tonight at Atlantis Superwash Center has changed that. I've been living in the neighborhood for over 6 years, and this spot has been my default laundromat since i moved to bed stuy. Given, its been a functional establishment for the majority of that time, and has typically met the satisfactory requirements of a laundromat (i.e. the machines work well enough). In the past several weeks, however, I have observed a precipitous and worrying decline in the standard of basic upkeep at this place, and more than once have considered the possibility of taking my soiled garments elsewhere. My experience tonight sealed the deal. Quite literally 7 out of the 30 or so dryers in the facility were functional. SEVEN OUT OF THIRTY. Keep in mind this was a sunday evening, a very popular time for doing laundry. So it was packed. And there was a line through the entire place to use the dryers. This colossal inconvenience (bordering on a feeling of deprivation akin to Weimar-era Germany) caused in me an immediate reassessment of my surroundings. And then it all came flooding in. I realized that Atlantis Superwash Center might just be one of the shittiest places I've ever had the misfortune of spending time in. Allow me to enumerate the articles of shittiness, many of which have been iterated in prior reviews: - Unfriendly, uncivil, utterly incompetent staff (if they even happen to be there) - Barely functioning machines (which are exorbitantly overpriced anyway) - A digital card payment system that was clearly designed by a hobbyist programmer in Kazakhstan, if not North Korea. (no offense to Kazakhs or North Koreans). Give me coins over this shit any day if it means I won't have a $5 bill eaten by a machine once a week. - Said card payment system has three available payment kiosks, but only one has worked for the past year. So you almost invariably have to wait in line to put cash on your card. - Two TVs on either side of the room blasting telenovelas and reality tv on full volume AT THE SAME TIME - Its just a nightmare. I would like to give this laundromat more stars. It's the only one in my neighborhood that is clean and spacious with a lot of machines. They are open 24 hours which is great. The reason why I'm only giving 3 stars is that it's always so busy that recently I have gone several times (I live about 3/4miles away which is quite a hike with 40 lbs. of laundry) and there were no machines available. I had to wait for a 30 min. to finally get my washing going. It's great for them that they are busy of course. In order to avoid the waste of time of a long wait I decided to call them ahead of time to see what the situation is. Every time I called they hung up on me without giving me an answer. I understand that their English may not be so good to respond, but it's just very frustrating. So I will have to look for a new laundromat which is very disappointing.
