We splurged on a balcony and were upgraded to an extended balcony. The room was bigger and we very much enjoyed the extra room and really took advantage of it. I didn't take pics but the bathroom was huge compared to a regular room. There was a seating area with a couch that we used for suitcases and dressing area. There was a small table with two comfortable arm chairs, a firm yet cozy, queen sized bed and more closets and storage than we needed. The cozy warm pajamas we brought were great so we never needed the fluffy robes provided with the room. The staff really were the stand outs. Virtually anything we asked for we were given. There are so many fantastic opportunities on board for fun, it's difficult to do them all. We most enjoyed the singing duo Thalia and Mike while sitting in the atrium bar. Check them out on the web. We enjoyed all the meals with the stand out being the Chef's Table experience. Really was expertly organized, with the meal so fantastic, it surpasses my ability to put into words. The chef and his staff were absolutely stellar. There were hits and slight misses for us, but overall, a meal to remember. The pork belly may have been my favorite course. The entire experience far surpassed the extra cost. Looking back, I've spent much more for far less. Just seeing all the chefs and staff needed to orchestrate one very special night for their guests and their sincere willingness to knock your socks off will be something I'll never forget. The room service breakfast sandwich was also memorable. I've never ever. EVER. had so much bacon on a sandwich. The egg was herby, fluffy and flavorful. Enough sandwich for two! The Szechuan shrimp from the main dining room was probably our favorite dish / meal outside of the chef's table experience. I had ordered the lamb bolognese, which was a standout on its own, but that shrimp! Really for a meal prepared for so many people at once, never did I think my plate was ordinary. . Our steward was absolutely fantastic and went far above and beyond making this trip extraordinary. Elation is not without her downfalls. She has ONE small pool and it's very sad. Since the full moon comes only a few times a year, we had to wait a little bit until our schedules lined up and we had a free weekend. Dennis had us meet him at Seminole Park in Ortega, and he provided everything for our tour: kayaks, life jackets, emergency whistles, waterproof bags, flashlights, headlamps, and even snacks and drinks! He was super friendly and very informative. We went with another couple that had signed up, and it was a beautiful tour. Dennis chatted the whole way, giving us interesting facts about the area, talking about how he set up this tour, and what all he has seen in the fifteen years of business. We had so much fun, and the moon was beautiful over the river! The tour lasted about an hour and fifteen minutes, and we didn't feel exherted or tired aftewards. It was relaxing, unique, and one of our best experiences in Jacksonville. If you don't want to do a tour, Dennis has a small spot located at Hanna Park, with rentals there as well. AAA provides a great portfolio of services of which we have been so pleased to have used their towing, battery replacements/ checks, trip planning (old fashioned paper maps), international drivers licenses, and emergency services. AAA Plus membership has been worth its weight in gold - for the 8 annual emergency service calls alone (unlimited mileage tows and battery-related) that we receive for our couple membership. Of course there's the piece of mind that you receive knowing that AAA can help whenever your travels/ emergencies arise. I readily admit that there have been a few instances these past 13 years that AAA fell short of its gold standard for towing responsiveness as well as congenial customer service from their phone reps -- but all in all in the grand scheme of things I've been pretty satisfied with AAA and appreciate being a AAA Plus card carrying member. Spent 6 hrs waiting, about every 15/20 min I called customer service, was told "on the way" "wouldn't be long" and then notified by text not long after... "service cancelled". Never ending process of repeatedly calling, waiting and being cancelled. AAA service representative, Quote: "Maybe after 6am we can provide service because there would be more service techs on the road". Did I pay a AAA membership with 24/7 roadside assistant? Did I accidentally check the box, "Customer has to wait to break down in a time window to get service roadside assistant". I must've checked the box "Lockout service only during daylight hours" not "24/7 lockout service" must be my mistake Tried to have them provide a Lyft, Uber and was told they weren't paying for that. Because by this time fares were $300. Note: At 12am a ride share was $50 but at 5am ride shares were $300. Again I must've opted OUT of the "complimentary rental car provided up to 100 miles" absentmindedly Was told being it was 34 miles from my home they didn't provide anything: hotel, ride share. "Have to be at least 100miles from my resident." I must've misunderstood? So I have to break down or need assistance at least 100 miles from home/destination. Do I need to push my car to the 100th mile mark? That must've been in the fine print somewhere I missed. Did I not pay fees for 24/7 roadside assistance including "flat tire service" "battery jumpstart and replacement" "vehicle lockout service" and not get the help you pay for? All the while a service member stating you were having someone come to you and wouldn't be long. Finally gave up and got an uber at 6am for $50 What a joke AAA is.... A company praised by an older generation, that now is a complete scam and waste of money in today's times

While we are familiar with the city, it was really interesting to have the context of history to frame our knowledge. We arrived 15 minutes before our tour, and our guide Toni was waiting for us. The tuktuk was ready with a cooler filled with champagne, sangria and water (that we ordered as add-ons to our tour). She gave us a set of headphones and a speaker we could wear around our necks, so we could hear her narration clearly over the traffic. Our two hour tour was chock full of sights and sites! Toni was fun, knowledgeable and engaging. We had plenty of opportunities to comments, ask questions, and even get out of the vehicle to take photos or admire certain locations. We cannot WAIT to take another tour (or three!) Highly recommend - this is a fun date for couples, families, or friends!
