Sandra worked with Derrick for several years and she was so terrific that when he retired he sold his practice to her. I had a grade 2 Adductor tear - a severe groin injury that generally takes 6-8 weeks to heal. I went 3 times a week for an hour of PT. Sandra gave me electrical stimulation, massage and stretching, and personalized exercises based on my fitness level and degree of discomfort and improvement. In 3 weeks (not 6-8 weeks), I am back to normal. Sandra has a great team with Serge and Will as therapists. I highly recommend North Beach PT to anyone with an injury requiring physical therapy. Prior to visiting his office, I have tried to alleviate the discomfort on my own with a hypervolt, stretching and foam rolling. Nothing was working. Walking into his office, you feel right at home with his warm, attentive staff. Everyone was so friendly. After an in-depth review of my health history and evaluation of my nagging injuries, he determined they were mild strains that could be treated. Dr. Narson explained the techniques and technology he would be using to get me back to lifting weights again. He used the Graston technique on both areas as well as electro therapy, which I've never experienced. I have been seen by several chiropractors in the past with various injuries, however, Dr. Narson is not your typical chiropractor. He truly is dedicated to his craft and keeping up with the latest techniques and technologies to better serve his patients. Within 24 hours of my visit, I felt a noticeable difference. Four days have passed and I'm almost 100% pain free. I've resumed lifting weights with pain-free ranges of motions at my elbow and knee. I trust and wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Narson and his team of professionals to take the greatest care of you and your family. Look no further, Dr. Narson will treat your injury, get you back to being pain-free and being active.

I has a neck and shoulder injury that was causing pain. headaches, depression and fatigue. I tried painkillers, cortisone shots and other therapist to no avail. I never found a massage therapist more competent and eclectic than Bob: he uses a variety of techniques and every time the treatment is different. I can safely say that he doesn't leave any muscle unturned: I thought the omnipresent tension in the neck would never go away, but it did. I'm very lucky to have found Bob Allen.

VETERAN OWNED & OPERATED - A RARE STANDARD OF CARE…read more As a combat veteran living with chronic pain--cervical stenosis, degenerative disc disease, two lumbar surgeries, and a twice rebuilt right shoulder--relief is a word I rarely get to use. While doing physical therapy for my most recent shoulder surgery at the VA, I noticed their sign across the street and made the call. They saw me immediately. From that moment, everything changed. I've had countless massages over the years, none of which delivered the depth of relief I truly needed. As with other massage therapists in the past, I asked the therapist not to hold back--and unlike those in the past that approached me timidly, she didn't. What followed was the most effective, deeply therapeutic bodywork I've ever experienced. Her expert use of elbows and forearms targeted deep muscle layers with unmatched precision. For the first time in years, I felt my upper back and neck begin to release. When she reached the tension in my neck, I nearly wept--from sheer relief. And that's not something I say lightly. This is not your average massage clinic. These are highly trained professionals operating at a master level--and doing so with purpose. If this review brings even one more person the kind of healing I experienced, it will have done its job.

I was in town on a little birthday R&R weekend after going through some stressful family stuff the…read morelast few months and wanted to treat myself to a bit of a spa experience. I did a search on Yelp and saw the rave reviews for Bodies Kneaded and the playful marketing they had (very pro Miss Piggy and drag queens, tbh) and decided to reach out. They had a text number on their website so I sent a message from the airport waiting for my flight to start boarding and by the time I was in my seat I had booked 2.5 hours the next day for a massage and facial. Now, this is not a traditional spa experience. It's relaxing and artsy and not the minimalist aesthetic you find in a lot of places. But I loved that about it. I'm here for the treatments first and foremost and those were amazing. Stewart is great! The massage? One of the best I've ever had. Truly. Because of the family stuff I've been going through my back was a field of stress knots and he worked them all out. I mentioned needing a little extra work in spots and he complied and also eased up the pressure perfectly when I had a few more tender areas. I had the deluxe massage which also included gentle cupping (effecting but also didn't leave any marks) and hot stones. It was great! My winter Michigan skin was also a dry mess. Before this I had been so embarrassed to even put on any makeup because it just immediately started flaking. He used an oxygen facial tool which did a great job of exfoliating all those extremely dry spots, including one really red spot I had on my cheek for a few weeks. When I left my sensitive skin was definitely a little on the ruddy side but trust the process! Within 48 hours it was all gone and my skin tone was even and glowing. When I got back to Michigan I had a few dry spots return but he set me up with success and after a few days of using some of the recommended oils things mellowed out. I feel so much more confident about my skin now! Also, Stewart is a gem. So kind and was sending me great recommendations for the neighborhood even before I even stepped foot in Florida! He was so kind and attentive during the session and was open to chatting a bit but also gave me the space to relax and zone out a bit which I appreciated. The two treatments together were significantly less than I would have paid at my hotel spa as well. Very reasonably priced for Miami Beach for sure! Would absolutely return for another appointment if I'm in the area. Thanks, Stewart!!

The massage therapists had a bit of an English barrier so we showed them on the website which massage we'd like to purchase. The price was $295. The massage wasn't great, but not awful. The room was very cold. At the end the massage therapist handed me the credit card machine to pay and the total was $385. I asked her why the discrepancy and she said that tax and tip was included in the price. I had always intended on leaving a tip, but it was strange to me that there was also a tax. When we got back to our hotel room, I looked up to see that there is no tax permitted on massage services in Miami. The next day I checked my credit card statement and saw that I was not just charged $385 but I was charged $411!! I called the spa and was told that there was an additional 3% fee for using my credit card. No one told me this when I called to Book the appointment. The manager told me that she would refund me the extra charges. She blamed the new employees on the error... she acknowledged that because I booked over the phone I wasn't subject to the 3% fee stated on their website because nobody informed me when I called the book. I said that I wanted to give a 20% tip on the service that was $295. It's been two weeks and I still have not received the refund on the extra charges and I will be taking this up with my credit card company. If you're thinking about coming here, don't fall for the reviews that tell you this is the best massage place in the area. The massages were very mediocre as was the spa and I won't be returning again. Make sure to check your credit card statement!!
