Not how I planned to spend a Saturday night in Bethany Beach, but here we are…read more My husband knocked his head on a beam in the attic while opening up a client's beach house. He ended up with a bit of goose-egg knot on his head. He did not think much of it at the time but the next day, he came down with an excruciating headache, unlike anything he has ever experienced. Worried it was related to the head injury the day before, we decided not to take a chance and took off for what Siri told me the closest ER to our location. I had to wait in the car due to COVID restrictions but hubby kept me informed by text throughout the process. Luckily it was only the after effects of a mild concussion and not a more serious head injury (according to the CT scan). He was pleased with the MD he saw and follow-up instructions he received. He was in and out of there in about an hour too! Hard to believe for a Saturday night. From now on, I think I will make him wear a bike helmet when he is in a low clearance attic.

My Dr. Orr advised me go to AGH ER for stomach pain and 4 days of diarrhea. Did anyone go to…read moremedical school? I handed them a typed list of my allergies and medications upon arrival. They hooked me up to IV and checked urine. DR. GREENWOOD came to check me. Told him I had severe upper abdominal pain then 2 days then later diarrhea which continued 4 days. No fever. Order CT scan...big MISTAKE prepped me with Steroid shot which I'm allergic to and i told them...5 minutes after the prep I had severe tremors and they ignored it and took me for the scan. My BP was 180 over 82. Didn't bother to treat or monitor this incident. Dr.Greenwood came in said you have bowel inflammation. Gave me lomotil which is an opioid. I specifically asked if this would react to any drugs I'm on namely alprazolam...said NO. I have had severe reactions from the lomotil...hearing muffled, tingling lips, visual disturbance, FEEL OUT OF IT and severe hyperactivity. It clearly states on the PDR do not take both drugs together dangerous reactions. I feel like hell and they discharged me. Totally incompetent care and treatment. It's Saturday can't see my doctor till Monday if I'm lucky. Worst hospital I have ever been to... they don't care or listen !

I've been seeing Michael Sean Hooker, MD since 2019 and ongoing. Typically, I fire physicians (did…read moreyou know that you could do that?) within a year. I give everyone a fair shot at finding their footing with me and my health issues. After a while, I get tired of talking and not seeing results so I bounce them and find someone new. With that being said, Dr. Hooker is the best thing since sliced bread as the old saying goes. He listens. He cares. He truly loves his patients and his job. No cranky days. No bad attitudes. And most of his staff (because there always has to be that ONE wherever you go) are a true pleasure. He even shoots the breeze with you while he's giving you injections so it's more tolerable. A real doll and a great physician. I wouldn't trade him or his staff for the world!

I had surgery by him in 2021 due to him saying that I had a tear in my rotator cuff. I shortly…read morefound out that it was a lie. I didn't have a tear at all at the time. A few months after my surgery I kept complaining of pain and he told me he didn't do surgery. My arm had minimal pain before surgery that elevated to pain everyday all day. He told me that I would have to deal with it for the rest of my life because he wasn't touching me again. I constantly complained and he finally got another MRI. It showed that I somehow gotten a bicep tendon tear and he refused to repair it. I had to wait almost a year before another surgeon could fix it. Due to the prolong wait of Dr. Hooker I can't lift over 15lbs which I could before his surgery. I was out of work for four months for a surgery claimed he needed to do that he lied about. He will misdiagnose you a lot. I had over 10 for one arm. Go figure.

I had a stroke in July 2022. For MONTHS my Primary, her referral department, and I all called and…read moreleft messages that I needed a New Patient appointment. After MONTHS of not getting a call, I just showed up to book it in person. When I walked in the door there was NO ONE in the waiting room; TWO girls at the front desk and NEITHER were on a phone call. I pulled my calendar out and waited. The girl asked me if she could help me and I told her what I needed and BOOM. Just like that, I had an appointment. WHY DID I HAVE TO DRIVE 35 MINUTES ONE-WAY TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN??? The window for recovery post-stroke is 12 months max. By the time I got in I was almost at that "cut-off" point. No one ever did find me a speech therapist and this has been almost two years ago now. Let me tell you the one 'good thing' they managed to get right. They have no issue whatsoever in letting you know that you owe less than $50 total to two different offices (not THEIRS) and "did you want to pay that today or wait for the bill to come in the mail"? IF THAT'S AN OPTION THEN WHY ARE YOU PLAYING DEBT COLLECTOR??? If she had bothered to look at the dates of service I had just had those appointments and hadn't even gotten the bills in the mail yet! Not to mention screw my right to privacy because these conversations are held at the front desk where patients are coming and going or the person next to them is on the phone, or there's someone standing there waiting to check in or check out. Now let's talk about how someone with 9/11 Sickness and tells everyone that upfront so that appropriate actions can be made like, oh, I dunno, maybe NOT booking me for a 15-minute follow-up with there is no way in hell that will be enough time to go over everything AND for me to ask questions! Yonker would come in and give her schpeel and I was supposed to be okay with that as she walked backward out of the exam room while I was talking because all of the billable time had been used up for her to tell me what she thought I needed to know. If you're hard up and have nowhere else to go then by all means. Otherwise, make the drive and go somewhere else like Lewes or Cambridge. Almost every single time I have to fire a medical person 99% of the time it isn't because of them but because of their staff! Stop thinking your staff walks on water and never makes any mistakes! But in this instance, it was both! ------------------------------------------- This is the first of many first-hand experience reviews I will be posting today. I kept things to myself for years practicing grace and forgiveness. But since AGH thinks they do no wrong, admit to no failures, and never apologize let alone take corrective actions... it's time the public knows that all that glitters is not gold!
