I made an appointment with Dr. Bookwalter. In order to do so, the appointment was two month later and I was in dire need of his services. I spoke at length with is receptionist when she called to remind me of my appointment made two months ago. I arrived at he office and filled out several sheets of paper noting my medical history. Then the receptionist told me that I needed to pay $130 for the consultation. I mentioned to her that I would be there for quite a few appointments and couldn't I pay in one lump sum when the work was finished and she insisted that I pay it then so I took out my credit card, American Express and she informed me that unfortunately they did not accept this. I asked her why she had not told me about the fee during our telephone conversations and also that I would have to bring a check and I was annoyed because I had waited for two months. During this exchange another receptionist walked into the back and returned to tell me that Dr. Andrew Bookwalter refuses to treat me, that he didn't care for my attitude. She made no mention of the fact that I have been victimized by the other receptionist. So I left. The good new is I now have an exceptional Dentist who does root canals, implants and everything else right in his office and he is highly rated on Yelp! read more
