She finally called me back and apologized for not getting back with me sooner because she was out of the office. Kim has always been able to solve my issues with staff in the past and I have no doubt that my feedback was heard. She took the time to listen to me and she genuinely cared. Not only did she resolve my issue, she also scheduled an another appointment with another Dr. in the facility. I will definitely give Chesapeake Health Care another chance just because of the way Kim handled the situation. She made me feel like everything was going to be ok, and that means everything to patients, especially when dealing with health issues. I also want to give a big thanks to Christie for calling to check on me after I posted the first review. It's because of the two of you that I will be returning. Her surgical skills were outstanding--she was able to perform an internal fixation rather than a hip replacement, which thrilled me. My recovery so far has been smooth, and I'm incredibly grateful for her expertise. Although I only met Dr. Pillai briefly in the hospital, her office has been excellent with follow-up and responsiveness through the patient portal, which I truly appreciate. I do feel Dr. Pillai could have spent more time answering my questions in person, but it is more important that she has excellent surgical skills. I got back in here just a bit ago and I had a voicemail message that it was the 'fourth time she had called and left a message'. No name. No company name. So I had no idea who was calling or for what. Called the number back and found out it was this place. Dr. Said's scheduler got on the line and told her about her message she left and that I didn't appreciate and did not care how many times she called (she should have taken the hint if nothing else) but that clearly she hadn't got my message that my dad had died and I'd call when I was ready. I went on to say that at this point, I felt harassed and to delete my number and never call me again. I hung up. The couple of times I saw Dr. Said, I never had an issue. His scheduler acts as though she gets a percentage of every surgery he does! If I keep getting rescheduled, clearly he has enough work to keep him busy, so why is she so pressed to get ME on the schedule when everyone else's surgery is a priority over mine? I'll never go there again and tell everyone with a pulse not to go there either if they get stuck with Dr. Said's scheduler.
