I coach parkour and wanted to see how the best of the best do it and was not at all disappointed. The gym isn't large--pretty sure the LA location is quite a bit larger--but they have the core equipment they need including an AirTrak and trampoline. Most importantly, they have excellent coaches--Malik who coached the adult/advanced tumbling class plus the tricking class I took was super-patient plus understood proper spotting techniques and had a great approach to communicating with students. All the students there were great, too, serious adult athletes most with an equally serious set of skills already under their belts. In short, this is exactly what you want a tricking or parkour gym to be: safe, clean, quality equipment, top-notch instruction, and fellow students as serious about their game as you are yourself. I cannot recommend JAM enough--this makes it clear why the very best pro athletes doing what we do, people like Cloud Campos and Aiden Kennedy--train at their Los Angeles location.

I love the fact that there are always happy healthy people jogging around with their loved ones, friends, or pups. It is just a really good energy to encounter and intriguing that, in the middle of Buckhead, this beautiful park is tucked away and you would never know how close you are to the traffic and fumes. The "Tennis Center" itself is sort of old and funny-looking (you'll be like, "Is this where I am supposed to go to meet my opponent?!?"), but they are in the works to build a 4000 square foot semi-underground building. The positioning of it will help to conserve energy for them. Also, if you are in the market for lessons, they have pro's there that you could book through the pro shop. Because their pro shop is (currently) really tiny, they don't have a store to purchase items (I would put money on it that they will have a store that is jam-packed with your tennis apparel after their construction of the new facility is complete). One last cool story- Last time I was playing there, I saw Andre 3000 of Outkast walking by my court (evidently, per him, he lives close to there and (I am guessing) he is health concious too?). So, I ran off the court and got his autograph on a tennis ball!!! You would never believe it, but (per him) it was his first tennis ball ever signed! Haha! A tennis pro was very loud and abusive on another court…read more Saturday around 9am the landscaping crew decided to mow the lawn, edge the grass, etc... unfortunately, about 45 mins of very loud and dusty air on probably the busiest time of the week. When suggested a better time, let's say during the week less busy court time, the so called pro, same one mentioned above, was very abrupt and rude. Do not recommend PAYING for a public court with such rudeness and threatening staff.

The exercises effectively combine strength and cardio, creating a well-rounded workout that aligns with what I was seeking in a 60-minute session. Lauren, the owner of the Atlanta franchise, is usually my class instructor, and she exudes a warm, positive energy that is incredibly motivating, all while maintaining a balanced approach.

Sandra's review is factual and was pointed out many times by many members who have as much right to enjoy a peaceful space as anyone. However when she requested to see the end of year books as its a member funded club she was denied them and attacked and bullied. Pathetic behavior. This used to be a lovely quiet pool enjoyed by everyone. It definitely had problems everyone would agree, broken glass, kids running, all rules posted on the wall but none followed. Drinking beer and eating in the pool on large floats. Loud music. Its very sad that people behave this way, or that parents allow their children to behave this way. Judging by the remarks of the manager or chairperson its really a low bar he has set for himself so probably not so surprising. I have happily attended many events here over the years and used the pool for 15 years but decided to change memberships as a result of this type of treatment of members. I'm waiting for the review when he calls me a liar :) He doesn't like facts.

Screaming kids, eating in the pool, floats the size of mini coopers, ball throwing hitting older members etc. Its pretty low when the committee refuse to provide financials to paid members for over 15 years stating that we can always join another club if not happy. The learning is fun and fellow students are safe and focused upon mutual progress and respect for one another. A GREAT "family" student body. The expert styles taught here are just what Bruce Lee had intended to see with Sifu Sule's shared philosophy. My partner trains with me regularly here. When I arrived, Kiesha (sp?) was at the desk by herself so she wasn't able to personally escort me around while I toured the facility, but she gave me a basic rundown, then sat with me and answered all my questions after I did my tour. Later, the manager, Trey (sp?) unlocked the meeting room so I could take a look-see. Both Kiesha and Trey were charming and welcoming. They were able to answer all my questions and made me feel completely at ease. Price / Value Excellent. They have such a wide array of classes. See photos. They have the basic aerobics classes and Zumba, but they also have more exotic offerings like Belly Dancing. They also have non-traditional classes for stuff like Hair Braiding. They have spades and chess tournaments. They have have basketball and pickleball tournaments. They also have classes geared towards kids. There's tons of free activities - walking the indoor track, using the fitness center, playing basketball or pickleball. You must be a Cobb county resident to use the facility and the only costs are class fees. They also have a meeting room with tables and chairs available for rent at $70 per hour. For an additional $30, you can rent the adjoining kitchenette. The manager said its a warming kitchen - no actual stove or cooking. Other They're closed on Sundays and they close 30 minutes before posted closing hours to clean the facility. One of the patrons told me they also close from 500 - 530pm or 530 - 6pm for cleaning. So far, the times I've visited its been nice and not crowded. I don't like gate-keeping, so I'm posting here and on Nextdoor. I sincerely hope I don't come to regret this lovely hidden gem. :-) Overall Overall I'm thrilled to have this new addition to the neighborhood.

I had the pleasure of returning to Core for a group Pilates session, with some friends. The…read morelocation is tucked away in the Buckhead area but I must warn you, you may pass it a couple times because the signage is not visible from the street and you may think you're in the wrong place because it's a shared building with other fitness facilities and offices. ***TIP*** If it's your first time, use your GPS and look for a parking garage on one side and building on the other. There's parking in the back but if that is full you can park in the garage next to the building. Once inside the facility you are really greeted with a sense of calm. It's is quiet and smells really good. The customer service is really friendly and our instructor, Kim, was absolutely AHHHMAZING! She was passionate but not in an aggressive way. She spoke with a big smile and was funny, engaging, and very knowledgeable. I appreciated her explaining the history of Pilates and how it really works and aligns the body. With all the pounding our bodies take from running and lifting, Pilates really helps to get your body in shape while taking good care of your body at the same time. I would definitely come again but it's not in my budget. I never knew Pilates was so expensive. It's like $90/session. YIKES. With Atlanta being a hub of fitness options I would choose to go somewhere else routinely, but would definitely put my coins together for a quarterly session at CORE. You get what you pay for here and that is superior quality service and fitness training!
