Nice place. Very clean, well decorated. Reasonable price. Flat screen TV. Drawback: Rooms open to parking lot.

An overall review of the hotel, ranks at the top of our list and will be looking forward to staying…read morewith the hotel chain in the future. BUT, seems there is always a but, I just cannot give the 5th star for two issues, might seem minor to most but the hotel could/can easily address the issues. The door handle on the inside of the sliding bath room door (which the door design is great) has been completely ripped off the door leaving jagged fasteners with possibility of cutting someone. The bigger of the two issues, they need to upgrade the toilets to "adult" height toilets, these are too low, hard to use for people of age and need to be a higher. Additional info after a night sleep, still 4STARS but they could take care of the small things. One bedside night light did not work and a bedside table lamp that has two outlets, both outlets did not work. Still an overall very good hotel, just need to take care of the "small things".

I was given a room on the top floor and even given a recommendation for dinner. When I arrived, there was a baby shower in the lobby, and possibly a family reunion. My room was large and almost clean. There were two white substances on the counter. It didn't photograph so well in the light, but one I took without the light on. It appeared to be missed in cleaning the counter. The WIFI was great, and there was a good selection of television stations. I could hear some of the traffic from the highway, so I adjusted the fan to stay on to buffer it. But it wasn't an issue I first thought it would be. The hotel had a pool and a small fitness room. Breakfast was great. When I got there, the lobby was full of high school or college students heading to a robotics competition. It was hard to find a seat. But waffles, breads, cereals, oatmeal, as well as hot foods were offered. I believe there were yogurts and some fruit as well. The breakfast area was well attended to, and she kept the selections stocked. I am planning a return here in May and hope for another great stay.

Two stories, exterior entrances, outdoor pool…read more I was impressed with my king room. All furnishings were in good order. Free wifi worked well, and the TV was nicely sized with a good variety of channels. The free breakfast buffet had scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausage as the hot and a good variety of other foods. The buffet area was neat and clean with a pleasant employee working to keep it that way. Only advice I will give is that the rooms on the back side are beside the parking lot of the local Walmart, and you will hear vehicle traffic.

There were some good points and some bad points. This was my first time staying at this BW in Lumberton while traveling. Checking in was easy. The staff, especially London was very very nice and welcoming. She gave us water bottles upon checkin. There's a small lobby and a breakfast area with seating. It looked a bit weathered and could use some updating. For the free breakfast I was surprised they didn't have hot grits and sausage gravy on their breakfast bar. Every Best Western I've ever stayed at in the south has had this on their breakfast bar including a machine where you can pick the type of coffee you want like a latte, a mocha latte, regular coffee, espresso, etc.. This hotel is an outdoor style hotel with two floors. For some reason their suits are on the second floor so if you are traveling with large luggage, you have to drag it up a flight of stairs. There are no elevators.( I wish I knew this ahead of time.) The walls are also somewhat thin. You can hear the people next door. Once in the room, it was very nice. I upgraded for $9 extra to a suite. The suite had a comfortable king bed, sitting area, desk and chair, refrigerator and microwave, 2 TV's that only had very limited shows. Ironing board, and iron, and blow dryer. They didn't have Netflix, or any of the streaming services I'm used to when traveling. It was mostly local stations. The Lumberton BW is situated right across from a Walmart. ( great for truckers.) Directly across the street is a Chick-fil-A and other restaurants. My biggest complaint is the water pressure was very low in the shower and sink it made it hard to rinse off. My other issue which I do not like is this BW uses large bottles of shampoo, body wash,, conditioner with pumps on the wall. ( that means everyone's hands are on those bottles and pumps instead of having individual samples, sealed and placed daily.I wound up getting Covid and the flu together from using these according to my doctor. Everyone that I was near not one person has ever had Covid. Out front on the corner of the property directly in front by the driveway were several homeless people hanging out. Since you walk directly across to get food, it's not the right place for these people. I felt very uneasy because it was nighttime. Checkout was easy. I did bring up several of these issues to the front desk and they were writing it down. This hotel also allows dogs and cats so if you are allergic check directly with the hotel. I think if this hotel could improve on the things I mentioned, it would get higher rating.

The staff all spoke to us when we walked by and helped us throughout the day. They supply coffee and fruit in the hall in the morning until noon and have a partnership with the connected Denny's so customers are able to get free Denny's once per day for their stay. My husband and I both work from home and the lobby area isn't as spacious as other Holiday Inns we've been to, but we were able to work in a decent workspace and the internet connection was perfect! We tried out the pool and had a great time with the babies & teen. Highly recommend.

Somehow, someway, when I clicked on the new Holiday Inn Express link I was either redirected or ended up booking here by complete mistake. Bummer. I don't know how you go from that to this, but whatever. I'll chalk it up to user error this time but I should have known better; should have checked and rechecked, verified, and checked again, I guess. Otherwise, for an older remodeled hotel, there's big comfy bed, quiet solid walls and floors, plenty of parking, lots of hot water and good water pressure so I guess the stay was adequate for the night just not at all what I was expecting.

1 Star - Absolutely Disgusting Experience! DO NOT STAY HERE!…read more I wish I could give Comfort Suites in Lumberton, NC, ZERO stars! This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. We booked a two-night stay through Expedia, but upon arriving, we were shocked by the disgusting condition of the room. The bedding was filthy and covered in questionable stains, there appeared to be blood in the bathtub, mold was present, and the bathtub drain was clogged and backing up. The room was completely unacceptable and unsanitary! To make matters worse, the front desk employee, Debra, was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of showing concern or trying to resolve the situation, she refused to provide a refund. Her attitude made an already horrible experience even worse. We were so uncomfortable with the conditions that we decided to leave and pay for another hotel out of our own pockets. On top of everything, we were charged a no-show fee despite attempting to cancel because of the conditions. No guest should have to deal with filthy accommodations, terrible customer service, and the added stress of fighting for a refund. This property needs serious attention from management. Save yourself the frustration, money, and disappointment. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

This property was conveniently located right off of Rt. 95. I walked into the lobby looking like a waterlogged dog dripping water all over the counter. She then filled me in with other general hotel info, breakfast etc. She was a beacon in this storm for me, and she is an asset for this property. If you need some lodging in the area, I recommend this hotel and if you're lucky, you can be helped by Jeannie.
