I gave it five stars before, and I will do so again. This hotel is aging and a good scrub of furniture and walls would be beneficial. However, the employees are very friendly, the rooms are big and quiet, the air-conditioning is as cold as you care, (No Red Hot Moments here) the beds are comfortable and everything is clean. The breakfast is basic and they don't EV chargers. However, this hotel just off the 95, is my go to when traveling and I need sleep. Love the little extras like rubber duckies, and cashless tips see the picture. The management here is on point. read more

This hotel was one of the least clean places we have ever been in! Our like dirty clothes, and on top of that the bathroom floor was disgustingly, sticky, and dirty. The toilet was stained and dirty! The shower curtain had a blood stain on it how gross! The dining room seats looked dirty in the hotel had a order. I would never go back there and I wouldn't want anybody else to go. **Hampton Inn, Lumberton, North Carolina - Review** I used e-check-in at the Hampton Inn in Lumberton, North Carolina, and walked straight through the lobby, which was aesthetically pleasing with features that catch the eye. My room on the 5th floor, an odd-numbered room, overlooks a quiet street, so the noise level was low. The light-blocking blinds are designed to provide 100% blackout with side tracks, but they were initially out of the track. It was an easy fix, and once I put them back in place, they worked perfectly, making the room pitch black except for the light from the nightlight in the bathroom. The room has a small computer work area with a modern, firm cloth computer chair, which was comfortable for working. There is a microwave, two drawers under the TV, and a granite countertop with a coffee maker, refrigerator, and ice bucket. Two soft square stools are tucked under a counter that serves as a table on the other side of the TV. Housekeeping did an excellent job, providing two thin pillows as per my special request, and for that alone, they deserve five stars. The room was impeccably clean, and the bathroom was immaculate. The flooring consists of tile in the entryway and bathroom, while the rest of the room is carpeted. There is a switch at the front door that controls a bright entryway light. The room lighting is more than sufficient, with two wall lamps between the beds and another lamp on the desk near the window. A built-in nightlight in the bathroom switch is a nice touch. For breakfast, the hotel offered a good variety. I enjoyed a waffle and had protein options, including boiled eggs, a pre-made western omelette, and ham slices. There were plenty of other choices such as cereals, breads, muffins, scones, yogurts, and fruits. After breakfast, my electronic key was deactivated, and I had to go back downstairs to get access to my room. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and even checked in with me regarding my special request to ensure everything was satisfactory, which it was. The hotel was very clean overall. *P.S. This is the first hotel that has ever asked me about my special request, acknowledged it, or honored it. No one else has ever even acknowledged, much less fulfilled, my special request until now.* read more

Correction - Pet charge did not increase from $50 last year to $80 this year. I spoke with the owner. Hilton provides a range of what franchise owners can charge per dog. If a Hampton Inn owner wants to charge $50 like I was charged at another Hampton Inn in N.C last year, that is the franchise owner's prerogative. If the franchise owner gives their staff liberty to wave the fee, again, it's up to the owner. Thus, $80 is not nationwide. It's franchise by franchise. This particular franchise in Lumberton, chooses to charge at the high end of the scale at $80 per dog. That's the franchise's choice. So, be advised that other Hampton Inns may charge less per dog. You may want to check several ahead of time to see how the rates differ. That aside, it still stands, that I found the sheets on one bed did not smell fresh. They smelled like perfume. I ended up sleeping in the other bed that had sheets that were crisp and smelled fresh and clean. I see from another rating that I am not the only one who had an experience with sheets that were not fresh. The breakfast was subpar: dried scrambled eggs, oatmeal like gruel, and cheap pastries. I genuinely felt we were all taken advantage of, because we needed a place to stay, had dogs and there wasn't much choice. They know those traveling to FL have been on the road a while and need a place to stay, especially if you have a dog with you. The staff was the only upside. read more

Very modern hotel and you can feel the clean! All rooms are sealed after cleaning due to COVID running rampant. Breakfast is still available but they pack it for you - no more buffet style. I went to bed in the dark after a long drive and when I woke I saw the sheet I had been sleeping one was filthy and had not been changed. It had old crusted vomit. Just your average hotel. We wanted to hit the pool bc we had been on the road all day so we tried the pool door with our key and it didn't work. I had to go to the front several times bc the room key didn't open the pool. Finally I broke down and threw the room keys at the front desk. They told us the pool closed at 945pm and it was 930 but the posted hours were 10pm. We had a half hour to use the pool but they didn't want to get off their butts and open it for us. I travel all over and stayed at many Hilton brand hotels but this was my favorite experience. The hotel was clean and looked brand new. The rooms had a little desk, mini fridge, and dresser for your clothing. The best part about this entire experience was the staff. I was blessed with the opportunity to meet wonderful people at this hotel. Dante, Sherlonda, and Lisa are a group of excellent employees and great humans. I'm hundreds of miles away from home and in the middle of no where... yet I never felt so much at home. I always got a greeting from them and a great conversation. I appreciate the staff here and I hope that they are being rewarded accordingly. They are hands down the best Hilton employees I've ever met and honestly some of the friendliest people I've ever met in the south. Stayed at this hotel on a car trip coming home from NYC. Comfortable beds; employees were very, very nice. I did have an issue with cleanliness of the sheets which, although it shouldn't have happened, was addressed by the staff immediately and in a satisfactory manner. We stoped here for two nights on our way from Florida to NYC. My family and I absolutely loved it. Beautiful and very spacious rooms, house keeping fantastic, free caffe & tea & snacks in the lobby 24/7. Beautiful lobby ! Wonderfully equipped gym,. Nice pool with a cool splashy water fountain which is very fun for kids. Staff very friendly. Good breakfast in the lobby restaurant.... eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal.... and more. One of my new favorite hotels! Stopped here on the way to Florida as Lumberton was the halfway point. Used digital check in and room key. Very easy. Hotel is clean and bright with renovated rooms. Front staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast area clean and decent selection of food. Good coffee! There is a small store with snacks and drinks. Close to insterstate and lots of restaurants. Some road noise though. All in all, a great stop. read more

The hotail is brand spanking new, and it seems that the folks that be working this hotail gots real good attitudes to go with the fresh clean sheets! If you come in at least by 6pm, they gone have plenty cookies to go around. One of the main reasons they received the 5 star rating from this hotail cricket. The only Hampton Inn I can think of that is nicer than this one was located in Derry, Maine. But some clown kept tapping on the window and I've unfortunately had nightmares ever since. Those damn orange pompoms. But seriously, this hotel is very up to date, and extremely clean. The only Small negative could potentially be the breakfast in the morning. As I am in a Hampton or a similar Hilton brand every single week, their breakfast seems a little weak in my humble opinion. If you're really into fitness, and I'm not talking bout fittiniss foot long in yo mouth, then you will really enjoy this hotel's work out center. Very spacious and extremely state of the ark ;) Got them good treadmills so you can burn of that extra cookie you ate at check knowing damn well you should have only had one! read more

So we stopped by here overnight since we were driving from nj to florida . Everything was clean . What was fantastic was the employees ! They were so polite , friendly and caring. There was a really bad storm out and they informed us to be careful and to check out the news by the lobby area since they knew we were driving down to florida. They have breakfast here . I was having a hard time figuring out the waffle machine lol I'm not the greatest in the kitchen. One women working there came right over and explained it to me and made sure I did it right! I am a road warrior with an international franchise and wasn't overly excited to be away from home, yet again. This has to be the nicest Hampton Inn I have stayed in this year! There was no amenity that this brand offers that you didn't not include. A gorgeous outdoor seating area (where I am typing this review), a wonderful indoor pool with kid's fountain, a gym that is the largest I have seen other than those in a dual branded hotel, and beautiful decor throughout. You were thoughtful in your approach to this hotel and it shows. I am interested to know what other locations you own as I will gladly book there as well. Getting someone motivated to write a five star review while away from their family is pretty hard to do; you got me to Facetime my family and show them what they are missing. This hotel is outstanding! Close to the highway for convenience, but far enough back that I heard no road noise at all. Very quiet room and amazing blackout shades for a great night's sleep. I had a King room and it was perfect. Lounger with tray table, huge TV, movable ottomans, and a comfy bed. Bathroom was spotless and huge. Loved the big open counter and full length mirror. No bathtub, but I prefer the curtain less showers anyways. Staff was friendly. Typical good free Hampton breakfast...everyone always loves those waffles. Used my digital key to come in side door on a very cold, snowy night. As I walked into the lobby, I was warmly greeted by the fire going in the fireplace and the friendly staff. Cute rubber duck theme and close proximity to Starbucks, a BBQ restaurant, WalMart, and more. This is definitely going to be my stop anytime I am in the area. read more

Sooooo happy with my stay. The room is spacious. The internet is good so I could get work done. The beds are so comfy, even the sofa bed is pretty comfy. The breakfast was very good and had lots of food choices. The staff were very kind to me and my family. Will definitely come back again as I'm coming home. One complaint: the room smelled BAD when we came in. I had to spray some body spray around the room to make it smell better. I'm not sure where it was coming from cause the beds smelled fine. I made a reservation here weeks before traveling. At the time I didn't have mobility problems, but after I made the reservation I broke my foot and can't use one of my legs for a while. My bad for not calling the inn directly to confirm their ability to handle my condition, but I did check out their website before going, and there was no mention of their lack of elevators that I saw. I've gone back over their website since my abortive check-in and found a tiny slug appears at the top - where advertisements usually appear - telling potential guests that there is no elevator. Of little use now, after trying to check in and finding no way to get to my room. Maybe they don't deserve one star for this issue, but after 10 hours of driving it's difficult to learn that your reservation isn't useful and all the front desk staff can do is suggest trying a motel nearby. Which turned out great, because that motel was just fine, and I'll be using it for my next trips from FL to VA. However, I'm rating it because I walked into a zoo at the front desk, the lobby smelled like old sweat socks, and the front desk staff was very busy - too busy to really handle the three customers that were standing there waiting for them. It just screamed out "understaffed" and "not clean." So, all-in-all, I'm glad I got walked to another property. I suggest you just start off with some other place. This location is a definite drag on the Hampton Inn brand. read more

As interstate highways go, Hampton Inn is one of the best. Sure, it's more expensive than Super 8 or Days Inn, but worth it.
