**Hampton Inn, Lumberton, North Carolina - Review** I used e-check-in at the Hampton Inn in Lumberton, North Carolina, and walked straight through the lobby, which was aesthetically pleasing with features that catch the eye. My room on the 5th floor, an odd-numbered room, overlooks a quiet street, so the noise level was low. The light-blocking blinds are designed to provide 100% blackout with side tracks, but they were initially out of the track. It was an easy fix, and once I put them back in place, they worked perfectly, making the room pitch black except for the light from the nightlight in the bathroom. The room has a small computer work area with a modern, firm cloth computer chair, which was comfortable for working. There is a microwave, two drawers under the TV, and a granite countertop with a coffee maker, refrigerator, and ice bucket. Two soft square stools are tucked under a counter that serves as a table on the other side of the TV. Housekeeping did an excellent job, providing two thin pillows as per my special request, and for that alone, they deserve five stars. The room was impeccably clean, and the bathroom was immaculate. The flooring consists of tile in the entryway and bathroom, while the rest of the room is carpeted. There is a switch at the front door that controls a bright entryway light. The room lighting is more than sufficient, with two wall lamps between the beds and another lamp on the desk near the window. A built-in nightlight in the bathroom switch is a nice touch. For breakfast, the hotel offered a good variety. I enjoyed a waffle and had protein options, including boiled eggs, a pre-made western omelette, and ham slices. There were plenty of other choices such as cereals, breads, muffins, scones, yogurts, and fruits. After breakfast, my electronic key was deactivated, and I had to go back downstairs to get access to my room. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and even checked in with me regarding my special request to ensure everything was satisfactory, which it was. The hotel was very clean overall. *P.S. This is the first hotel that has ever asked me about my special request, acknowledged it, or honored it. No one else has ever even acknowledged, much less fulfilled, my special request until now.*

Very nice, very clean, well decorated, and spacious. Employees great you coming and going and very polite and helpful. The room I was assigned to was large, clean, everything worked, and I wish this bathroom was in my home. Breakfast is 0600 - 0900.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hampton Inn Lumberton. The check in went smoothly, there was plenty of parking, it was quiet, great water pressure in the shower, clean room, comfortable bed, and free continental breakfast. What more can you ask for?

not happy at all as a Hilton rewards member I always select quality over price, but was horrified. I went to bed in the dark after a long drive and when I woke I saw the sheet I had been sleeping one was filthy and had not been changed. It had old crusted vomit. It wasn't new and clearly had been there for a while. PLEASE if you care about your health stay somewhere else. I have had nightmares about this experience.

It's still a great place to stay for a good night's rest! I stopped in here on 6-18-2022. Very nice people! Good breakfast. Convenient to food, which I need. Efficient check-in. Duck picked up and now I have two. Good breakfast! Ham, banana, apple juice, and orange juice.

    Lobby and free hot chocolate.

We stoped here for two nights on our way from Florida to NYC. My family and I absolutely loved it. Beautiful and very spacious rooms, house keeping fantastic, free caffe & tea & snacks in the lobby 24/7. Beautiful lobby ! Wonderfully equipped gym,. Nice pool with a cool splashy water fountain which is very fun for kids. Staff very friendly. Good breakfast in the lobby restaurant.... eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal.... and more. Right across the street there's an Outbacks restaurant where you can enjoy a nice dinner. This will definitely be our mid way stop hotel when traveling the coast .

One of my new favorite hotels! Stopped here on the way to Florida as Lumberton was the halfway point. Used digital check in and room key. Very easy. Hotel is clean and bright with renovated rooms. Front staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast area clean and decent selection of food. Good coffee! There is a small store with snacks and drinks. Close to insterstate and lots of restaurants. Some road noise though. All in all, a great stop.

The room was clean and spacious which made it easy to relax after a long day of traveling. The bed was especially comfortable, and I appreciated how quiet the hotel was even being close to the highway. It's definitely a great stop if you're traveling and need a place to unwind. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. Check-in was smooth, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt modern and well-kept. Breakfast was available, which was convenient, though the selection could be a little better depending on your expectations. Still, it was nice to have that option before heading out. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and convenient place to stay in Lumberton. I would definitely consider staying here again.

I was given a room on the top floor and even given a recommendation for dinner. When I arrived, there was a baby shower in the lobby, and possibly a family reunion. My room was large and almost clean. There were two white substances on the counter. It didn't photograph so well in the light, but one I took without the light on. It appeared to be missed in cleaning the counter. The WIFI was great, and there was a good selection of television stations. I could hear some of the traffic from the highway, so I adjusted the fan to stay on to buffer it. But it wasn't an issue I first thought it would be. The hotel had a pool and a small fitness room. Breakfast was great. When I got there, the lobby was full of high school or college students heading to a robotics competition. It was hard to find a seat. But waffles, breads, cereals, oatmeal, as well as hot foods were offered. I believe there were yogurts and some fruit as well. The breakfast area was well attended to, and she kept the selections stocked. I am planning a return here in May and hope for another great stay.

There were some good points and some bad points. This was my first time staying at this BW in Lumberton while traveling. Checking in was easy. The staff, especially London was very very nice and welcoming. She gave us water bottles upon checkin. There's a small lobby and a breakfast area with seating. It looked a bit weathered and could use some updating. For the free breakfast I was surprised they didn't have hot grits and sausage gravy on their breakfast bar. Every Best Western I've ever stayed at in the south has had this on their breakfast bar including a machine where you can pick the type of coffee you want like a latte, a mocha latte, regular coffee, espresso, etc.. This hotel is an outdoor style hotel with two floors. For some reason their suits are on the second floor so if you are traveling with large luggage, you have to drag it up a flight of stairs. There are no elevators.( I wish I knew this ahead of time.) The walls are also somewhat thin. You can hear the people next door. Once in the room, it was very nice. I upgraded for $9 extra to a suite. The suite had a comfortable king bed, sitting area, desk and chair, refrigerator and microwave, 2 TV's that only had very limited shows. Ironing board, and iron, and blow dryer. They didn't have Netflix, or any of the streaming services I'm used to when traveling. It was mostly local stations. The Lumberton BW is situated right across from a Walmart. ( great for truckers.) Directly across the street is a Chick-fil-A and other restaurants. My biggest complaint is the water pressure was very low in the shower and sink it made it hard to rinse off. My other issue which I do not like is this BW uses large bottles of shampoo, body wash,, conditioner with pumps on the wall. ( that means everyone's hands are on those bottles and pumps instead of having individual samples, sealed and placed daily.I wound up getting Covid and the flu together from using these according to my doctor. Everyone that I was near not one person has ever had Covid. Out front on the corner of the property directly in front by the driveway were several homeless people hanging out. Since you walk directly across to get food, it's not the right place for these people. I felt very uneasy because it was nighttime. Checkout was easy. I did bring up several of these issues to the front desk and they were writing it down. This hotel also allows dogs and cats so if you are allergic check directly with the hotel. I think if this hotel could improve on the things I mentioned, it would get higher rating.

I'll admit I was slightly concerned when it was a motel, but we were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and size of the room. All in all, would definitely choose this motel over the nearby Hampton Inn for a quick stop! Outdoor pool was open on 4/6.

Somehow, someway, when I clicked on the new Holiday Inn Express link I was either redirected or ended up booking here by complete mistake. Bummer. I don't know how you go from that to this, but whatever. I'll chalk it up to user error this time but I should have known better; should have checked and rechecked, verified, and checked again, I guess. Otherwise, for an older remodeled hotel, there's big comfy bed, quiet solid walls and floors, plenty of parking, lots of hot water and good water pressure so I guess the stay was adequate for the night just not at all what I was expecting.

The hallways, and elevator were dirty. The hand sanitizer empty. The room itself was clean, although the cover was off the ac and the tub dripped in room. The toilet in the room was a low boy. I thought possibly because I got the King Suite and families with children, but was told by the clerk that is their standard height. I am 4th generation plumbing family. It is a lower than standard height toilet. The toilet seat itself is the split kind for dribbles. I have a bad hip and it was a problem. I couldn't even push off between my legs because of the seat style. We arrived for breakfast about 8 am on a Saturday and the pre cooked hot items were gone. I told the attendant she opened the tray looked clised it and continued filling everything else. Their sister hotel Clarion is right next door and I could have booked it for $50 less without the convenience of the hot breakfast I didn't get. I have other nights booked with Choice Hotels and now worried about toilet height I asked the front desk clerk for help requesting handicap rooms explaining I made reservations on my computer but I didn't have it with me. She said she could only see reservations for this location and I would have to call directly to Choice. She didn't provide a number. Walking back to my room, I noticed a business center with a computer. It upset me even more that it was not suggested either. I got no help resolving my problem.
