Instead, I was told that imaging wasn't necessary and was recommended a course of massages. After two weeks, there was some slight improvement, and I was informed that Dr. Peter would perform spinal manipulations on my neck. I clearly expressed that I was afraid of any neck-related procedures. While I was lying face down on the table, the doctor entered without a greeting or explanation, abruptly cracked my neck on both sides, and walked out without saying a word. Immediately after the procedure, I developed a severe headache on my way home. Ibuprofen helped for the first few days, but soon after, I began experiencing nausea, dizziness, and worsening pain. When I called the clinic to report these symptoms, I was given an appointment only several days later. At the follow-up, Dr. Peter falsely claimed that I had refused an MRI at the beginning, which is not true. When I corrected him, he threatened to call the police if I didn't leave the clinic within three minutes. No referral for MRI or proper treatment (such as steroids) was provided. It felt like they were trying to avoid having any documented evidence of their mistakes. This experience was not only unprofessional but also dangerous. I strongly advise against going to this clinic -- especially allowing anyone to perform neck manipulations without proper imaging. Dr. Peter showed a shocking lack of professionalism, communication, and concern for patient safety.

I recently had Video Gait Analysis done with Jason to see if my running form was contributing to my…read moreIT band pain. I am currently being seen by Omar at the clinic on Wabash to address my IT issues, which stem from my weak hips, weak glutes and bad balance. I'd been meaning to get gait analysis done forever, but hadn't gotten around to it. And wow, I'm glad that I got it done! All you runners out there that haven't gotten it done should!! The video does not lie. And, you can't see yourself running (unless you or someone else films you) and let's be honest, when you're racing, you might not be thinking about your form as much as you need to. With me, I'm thinking about the time and finishing as fast as I can. The process went as such: Jason evaluated me as I ran through a series of tests. He them filed me walking on the treadmill and then he filmed me as I ran. I ran at a comfortable pace and ran as I normally would. He then went over the film with me and pointed out some key issues. For me, when I land, my left leg comes out to the side and I land on the outside of my foot. My left knee drops in too. Not good. Also, my kick is not going far back enough, which causes me to land way too far out instead of landing underneath my hips. Again, this is in part due to my weak hips. But, there are things I can do to work on form, which I will try. I have yet to get my report and go over it with my PT. I look forward to reviewing it and making whatever changes I can. Bottom line: if you are a runner get gait analysis done! You won't regret it!
