We were fortunate to find Maple Manor as a place where he could do his rehab with the care of an excellent staff over-seeing him 24/7. We were at Maple Manor for almost 3 straight months and we can't say enough positive things. The nurses were consistently knowledgeable, helpful and extremely kind to my father. At no point, did we ever see anyone "having a bad day" and taking it out on my father. They were the utmost professionals. The nurses were very intelligent, always had a smile on their face and consistently made sure my father was comfortable and happy. I should also note that they were always nice and welcoming to my mother who stayed with my father every day. The physical therapists and occupational therapists are also top notch. Not only were they kind and patient, but they did great work with my father. I can't recommend them enough. The staff at the facility were always accommodating and went out of their way to make sure my father's needs were taken care of. Whether it was people at the back office, front desk or the janitorial staff, everyone did a wonderful job. Any time we had a suggestion or complaint it was immediately addressed. Finally, Dr. JJ and Dr. Stella were amazing to work with. They really treated my parents like extended family. Thank you so much to everyone at Maple Manor. They made a difficult time in my father's life as happy and comfortable as possible!!!

She gave us a tour of the rehab unit and took quite a bit of time explaining how things work with the insurances. Terri was so kind and understanding and the facility was clean and beautiful. We were even more impressed when we saw her personal cell phone in every room. My aunt has been there over 4 weeks now and is scheduled to go home in 8 days. There were small issues the first week or so but , true to her word, we called Terri and she addressed our problems immediately. We certainly don't expect perfection but we do expect results when we have a complaint. The rehab has been wonderful, the food is almost always wonderful and the nursing staff is generally kind, compassionate and efficient. I would obviously recommend.

Your admission meeting is an entire week after your stay begins. NOTE: only a short term stay facility. It never used to be. Try repeatedly to push the patient out the door even though the patient is no where near ready to leave. Your surgeon or PCP have no opinion on their patients care. They should be the decision makers. Instead the office staff blames early release on the insurance reviews which are completed by people in another state who only rely on the notes from staff. So unprofessional, & cold! Only Marywood's physician who is elderly himself makes the decision on when they are ready to go. This is NOT how our senior community should be treated.

Why should I believe I am able to get better service from a fast food restaurant than a medical facility that I have placed the total care of myself or loved ones. I believe the entire staff should require weekly if not daily sensitivity training reinforced with a performance management regimen. I am not blaming the warm body that was hired to fill a slot. I blame leadership for hiring and allowing this less than substandard behavior. In other words, 'you are only as good as your leadership team.' If an employee respects their leadership and has been trained properly, they would never put them (and the organization) in a bad light. I am now expanding my search for a more suitable facility. It should be a calling for those that wish to work in the field of patient care and not simply a paycheck. The neck and shoulder pain I experienced…read morefrom my neck, across my left shoulder and down my arm to my finger tips was very intense and virtually debilitating. I did not understand how these stretching and posture exercises could help reduce the pain. I was wrong. The therapist targeted my exercises and stretching to alleviate my specific pain issues. The staff was confident, friendly and extremely thorough. They asked the right questions, evaluated my images and concerns. I experienced a slight reduction of pain after my very first session. Today, after four weeks of sessions, I feel like a brand new woman. My pain has been significantly reduced and I feel great. They taught me simple stretches I can do at home and work to stave off any flair ups. I've been converted. Thank you St. Mary's!!!
