Both times for injuries affecting my training and daily activities (e.g., ability to walk, work, etc. - let alone race). To me it is important to share: This practice crossed very serious ethical and professional boundaries during the course of my care. When I raised concerns in an attempt to resolve the issues, my concerns were not addressed. The issues persisted and in fact escalated. Rather than addressing any of this, OPC instead terminated my care. Following termination, I dealt with repeated contact and inappropriate behavior from individuals associated with the practice, actions which were intrusive and extremely distressing. All of this significantly affected my sense of safety and well-being and continues to do so. Patients enter clinical care expecting professionalism, boundaries, ethical conduct, and accountability. Those standards were certainly not upheld. I have had great experiences at many other practices across the St. Louis region. I cannot more strongly recommend that patients look elsewhere.

The wait is worth it as our issues are getting resolved health wise, but you'll want to plan ahead like bring a book like war and peace or build a house while waiting or I don't know solve time travel. The nursing and tech staff are an entirely different matter. Every patient is supposed to receive a check from a nurse or tech at least once each hour. A family member was with my daughter almost all of the rime she was a patient. 4-5 hours passed before anyone checked on her in the daytime. Night time checks were even farther apart. I wonder how many patients have suffered a stroke that was missed, possibly resulting in death, certainly a delay of treatment. Pushing a call button is probably impossible when having a stroke. The response to a call button will take 20 minutes to an hour. Last, but not really least, the food is terrible. We took in most omeals for our daughter. Therapist were excellent, kind a caring. The nursing/tech staff spent more time in the nurses station goofing off than caring for patients. It was nearly impossible to sleep through their chatter and laughter.

You're correct. Peloza went in posteriorly. Two of the four screws came apart causing a ton of…read moreinstability exacerbated by the failed implant. The revision surgeon had to go in anteriorly to put in two interbody implants. He noted in his report that the aorta had been damaged from the instability at L4/5. My surgery with Peloza was in 2/2010. It failed by 10/2010. Dr Peloza ignored several calls and emails from me until 3, one month past his exposure for malpractice. Coincidence? One of the worst decisions I've ever made in my life was coming to see you. The list of things I've lost since 2/2010 is huge. I'm thankful for my family standing by me through all of this. All I wanted in 2015 when I visited him was an apology with some sincerity mixed in. I got neither.
