No lingering issues and I was back to lifting with no pain. He is such a great doctor and so nice. He is not a wrist or hand doctor but tried conservative means to help my wrist. In the end he referred me to the hand surgeon in the practice, who was also awesome, for the injection, which he agreed to do while I was pregnant. No pain since!

Dr. Strelzow is very friendly, personable, intelligent, thorough and had compassion. It was a very good experience that could have been the opposite. Thank you Dr. Strelzow and staff! That day my Husband went to see an Oral Surgeon only to learn that tooth needed to be extracted and that he had a tumor that had destroyed his jaw bone! Had Dr. Curylo cared more about the money and less about my Husband as a patient, there could have been serious repercussions from infection. We will refer everyone who needs spinal surgery to Dr. Curylo as he is truly is a wonderful man!

Apparently women can't understand medical dialogue. I could have understood that there might not be anything he could fix, but the wheelchair comment was snide, and very very condescending. I have never before been made to feel so small. I very much feel like he was trying to use my appt to make up for how late his schedule was running. Dr. Fong is the worst doctor that I have ever seen, and I have many doctors. He came in the room…read moreand was only in the room for maybe 10 minutes (if even that), and let's not forget...I was a new patient. I have been in slight pain over the past six months, but about three weeks ago, it became much worse. He offered physical therapy, but didn't offer anything for the extreme pain I was in and still am in. He was very dismissive. I'm not stating he is homophobic, but I will state it could be the reason why. Like I stated "it could be the reason why". He came in and asked if my husband was a friend or relative. I said he was my husband. If he is homophobic, then he is the wrong profession. We are everywhere. I know he is young and has a lot to learn. I think the best education a doctor could ever have is to be very sick or in pain, so thatthey understand and empathize with the patients' situation.It was different years ago. Today, the young doctors treat us like cattle (we all are a number to them, not a person). I'm not stating all of them are that way, but I will state that Dr. Fong seems to be that way, in my opinion. Thank goodness one of my doctors was able to find me a new neurologist, that I will get to see in a couple of weeks. The new doctor even got a chance to see my MRI's today and said I am definitely going to need surgery. So, I basically drove 45 miles, wasted gas money, paid my copay, just to be dismissed. Since I was a new patient, I should have been allotted 30 minutes, but he was only in there for about 10 minutes, as I stated above. I bet he charged my insurance for a 30 minute visit. Tomorrow, I am calling my insurance company to see what he billed them. As you can tell, I am definitely not a fan of Dr. Fong and would not recommend him to anyone.

I am extremely grateful to Kristen Pierce, Physical Therapist at Peak. Shawn patiently helped rid me of debilitating vertigo, I'm very grateful. Kristen's compassion and dedication enthralled me! The progress I've made because of her work ethic and determination is invaluable. Kristen has given me belief in myself heretofore unknown, Wow ! She is one Powerful Woman. I will progress with my desire to and accomplish living independently because of her belief in me. Her support during therapy gave me Hope again. I was in the ER back in September, while struggling to clear a severe infection. My experience was…read moremixed, ultimately I would return in the future if I felt the need to avoid big Barnes, downtown. Pros: * You are guaranteed to see a Wash U physician. * Not busy-- especially when compared to downtown. Mind you I was sick enough to get pushed to the top of the list but even for those who had to wait longer had a wait time that would be considered short for an emergency room. * Free parking in a well-lit parking lot. * ER has people with Covid symptoms on one side of the waiting room and those without on the other side of the waiting room. * Awesome nurses and registration staff. Cons: * Small ER with few rooms, leading to wait times that are longer than one would initially think. Despite being the first person called back after I arrived, I still waited over 30 min. * I wasn't a huge fan of the physician assigned to my case. I didn't feel like he listened to me, or anything else that had been said by other Wash U physicians in the days prior. * Instead of actual rooms, each bed was in a little curtained off area, so there was no privacy when discussing anything with the physician or nursing staff.

I recently had to visit the ER for what I knew was a URI because I get them at least once per year…read more The nurses and RAD staff were awesome. However, I wish doctors would actually LISTEN to their patients! I informed the doc that I am usually prescribed levaquin and prednisone for 5 days and it takes care of it. I came in with a BP 170s/110s and I never received anything for it. My eyes were red and swollen and I felt horrible. Instead I was given Tylenol, ibuprofen, and Sudafed. I told her I thought Sudafed wasn't the best choice for ppl with HTN but was given it anyway. I was sent home with scripts for OTC meds. I had to have another provider call in what I needed and mysteriously I feel tons better. I'm not sure if she heard opioids when I said antbx/steroids? Furthermore, they ran a pregnancy test without my knowledge which proves there is no research in a patient's chart. Unless I was having another Jesus in Bethlehem, there was no way for me to be pregnant. I had a hysterectomy in 2012 so I feel I shouldn't pay for that test! No communication of your history, and no understanding of your patient! I had a very poor experience and could have saved the time by calling another provider!
