This is not some generic bend here, stretch that, pick this up type of physical therapy. This is true rehabilitation and it helped me to regain my strength and get my life back in three months! I saw him initially for strengthening/education/pain relief and management for a torn hip labrum and will be seeing him post surgery. -Greg took the time to listen to me and double checked information I was giving him about my injury and pain so that he could help me the best way possible. He stopped frequently to touch on topics that I brought up in order to better inform me of why something was happening. -Greg gave me VALUABLE education the entire time I was there. He did not make me feel rushed or like I was on a time limit. He used various skeletons, pictures, and hand outs to make sure I knew the anatomy of the problem, how the injury happened, and how the surgery will fix the problem. -Greg educated me on specific strengthening exercises not only for my problem areas, but for pain management. Also, he gave me exercises to strengthen the correct part of my arms to help with use of crutches. He made sure I knew exactly how to properly perform the exercises, how often to perform them, and also THE PURPOSE of them. He made sure I knew how they are going to help me pre surgery and post surgery. -He made me feel validated about my pain and the problems the injury caused in my daily life. He listened and was able to be more than supportive. Like I mentioned, I never felt rushed or as if he was busy and needed to move on to the next patient. If you are fed up with doctors who are…read moreall the cliches we hate (LATE for appt, inattentive, spend very little face time with you) then go see my doctor and you will be SPOILED. Although he is only has office hrs in STL 2-3 days weekly, you can usually get in that very day you phone. In 2 yrs, I've only waited 1 time in lobby for my appt, that was 10 min. every other appt has been right on schedule. He doesn't have a nurse, you see him, Dr. Ishida, for 15 min to 30 min. however long it takes. He listens, explains, then discusses coarse of care AND gets your opinions of his choice of care, medication, cure, etc. I have to warn you, the appearance of his office may be a bit off-putting because he has paperwork and books everywhere---he is somewhat eccentric---but he is a prolific reader & writer---you'll GET it. He has an impressive resume, including a stint at educating medical students. How adorable is this: he just returned from a 2 wk trip to Japan and brought back some small souvenirs for some of his patients. ahhh He took the time to explain to me, the area he visited and how the gift represented the region and even translated the kanjis so I could share the info with my hubby. Bad news: he has recently decided not to deal with insurance companies any more (can't say I blame him). And, although I was only paying $15 co-pay to him as a general physician, I am now paying his full office rate - $65. I will continue to do so, cuz I love this doctor. DR. ISHIDA is the best doctor I've had in my entire adult life (I'm 39).

I visited NP Schodroski last month after two urgent care visits & 3 weeks of sinus headaches…read more Urgent care did a sinus cat scan on me that showed that my sinuses were normal, so basically no sign of a sinus infection. I needed to make an appointment with a primary or np before I could see a neurologist for further testing to make sure everything was ok because I knew this wasn't normal. I didn't have a primary (as I don't have any health conditions nor get sick, ever). I found NP Secil on ZocDoc with raving 5 star reviews. I didn't see the one that would have warned me of the same exact thing I experienced. So I urge you to always read ALL reviews. Anyway, first off - she did no testing on me before sending a prescription for augmentin & told me I had a sinus infection. For one, augmentin is not something you just hand out w/o being certain. Then, I requested blood work be done to make sure everything else was normal. Two of her "medical assistants" couldn't find a vein. Then she tried & also couldn't find a vein initially. She requests that I allow her to draw blood from the artery in my wrist. Hesitant, I ask her why she needs to do that as I have never had any blood drawing issues & she says she does it all the time & it'll be easier. Mind you, she hadn't even tried my left arm at this point. I tell her I don't want her to & to try my left arm, she tries it & what do ya know.... she gets some blood! Ontop of this, I wanted to talk about weight loss as I confided that I have been battling weight gain (due to several reasons) she tells me I'm a beautiful girl & shouldn't be sad but to come back for a follow up appointment & we'd discuss my test results & weightloss then because she had to go on lunch. I say ok (trusting her). The following week comes by & I call over the phone for my test results as the entire experience later had me feeling strange about coming back as well as finding out from my ins they are not in my network (although they told me they were when I gave them my ins card). They say they don't have a secure email or phone line so they can't give it to me over the phone & that I HAVE to come in for an appt to discuss them. I speak with Secil as she also gave me her cell number & she urges that they are "in the process" of accepting my ins & sent in the paperwork to accept BCBS. What?! But proceeds to tell me that no matter what, she will still not charge me since I was told one thing. Fast forward to now, I get a bill from her "lab" for $118 for labwork. I called her this morning & she was loud & rude over the phone then proceeded to text where she then belittles me telling me if I press charges I'm a "little fish in a big pond" & that I will still be "fat, depressed & hate myself" Absolutely sickening to come from a healthcare "professional". No one should ever have to get shamed by someone who claims they specialize in weight loss to help people be a better version of themselves & completely throw their weight issues in their face all because she was dishonest & was called out on her dishonesty! I will never in any lifetime wish this experience on anyone. And for the record, I work in healthcare & I see people everyday battling disorders & depression that may or may not cause them to gain weight & the last thing any of these people need is to be texted that they are still fat & depressed! Never ok! It's a great thing I'm no teenager on the brink of suicide & that I'm an adult confident that I will get back to my old self & actually taking strides to better my health.
