He is a great listener, and works with you to find the best way to go about ending your pain. He gave me my life back! His staff is also wonderful. I originally went here to treat my pain and to understand which approved pain procedures I might be a candidate for (e.g. spinal cord stimulator). As a chronic pain patient in a great deal of pain, I've never been treated as poorly as I was here. They really had their own agenda. For example, a week or so after my first appointment, I received a call from a businessman on behalf of Katalyst pain clinic, asking whether I was interested in a novel treatment for my pain. When I asked about the cost, he told me it was $10,000-$12,500 - with no insurance reimbursement. This is fine to know for the future, but I needed to get out of pain now, using my insurance. It felt humiliating to repeatedly request both in writing and verbally that I needed to stick to what my insurance would cover, at least until I had a new job. I'm responsible to pay the bill, after all. I was disappointed in the care provided, the unprofessional demeanor, and frankly the attitude demonstrated by Dr. Buettwell (embrace patient, argue with patient, discard patient). I never did learn about my other approved treatment options - only the off-label peptides and platelets they push. Apparently, some things are more difficult than medical school.

Please consider other choices. Pain is a very difficult issue to live with. It is also difficult to…read morediagnose and treat. There are many things that can go wrong when getting a shot into your spine, up to and including introduction of life threatening bacteria into your bloodstream. If you need only pain medicine try your primary care doctor or an orthopedic specialist.

I told them I was looking for pain management. The immediate response without any examination was the doctor would start with an ablation to stop my back pain, but there was a big red flag, I had NO BACK PAIN and wasn't there for that. I told this receptionist I wasn't there for back pain, her response was, (she) the dr, always starts with back ablations with every patient. My response was, well I'm not going to be one of them. She responded then their doctor and office would not help me. I was in full agreement with her at that point and walked back out the door without an examination, without ever speaking with a doctor, without any evaluation. No check in, no weigh in, no blood pressure check and the appointment lasted less than one minute, if it lasted that long. Now this Doctor Anne Christopher, keeps attempting to bill me and Medicare for $480.00 for an examination that NEVER happened. I never saw her, never spoke with her and never received an exam or consultation. I have been in touch with the Medicare Fraud Department over this. If there is any mystery as to why health care costs are outrageous, this is a prime example!

Going to a new pain dr is extremely stressful. My last 3 retired. So i sat in waiting room 3 hours 45 min. Finally was called back where I waited more. He finally comes in where i start relating my problems. He has a look of "extreme - hurry up i could care less- on his face. We spoke all of 10 min. Due to my job of 30 years of owning 8 martial arts schools, an riding an showing speed horses, and a car landing on top of me what my body has been thru with injuries has left me at times crippled. But this is what got me most. I had taken a trip to AR to look at houses. I was in such pain in left side (had been for yrs. This was worst. I tried to go to ER the night befor i left but couldnt drive myself the 11/2 hrs to get there. So next morn i had to drive the 4 hr trip home. i was passing out from pain almost wrecked about 8 times. Almost side seiped a biker an lost control. All over the road. Came to, and pulled over. Somehow i made it. So I proceeded to tell dr, how bad it was, blacking out from pain and he said, " I DONT HARDLY BELIEVE IT". Calling me a liar essentially. or saying lets find out why. His face totally dead pan. So our 10 min were up. Said hed give me a shot. About 10 people waiting for shots in shot area. After another hour i told nurse i was leaving. She said wait a little linger. So i did. But my pain had increased by at least 10. I couldnt take anymore so i walked out. This office over booked by 100%. Others in waiting room talking an unhappy. His bedside manner horrible an cynical. Pain management has to be hard. But they signed up for it. So if they cant take heat they should get out of kitchen. Also i get a bill for $33 plus. No name of what dr. Not their address. No full listing of what it was for. How am i supposed to know when its months later after sending thru medicare. $400 for a office visit that i went thru a terrible day for nothing. When i called billing to discuss my problem they said it wasnt their dept, contact office. Contacted office explained all this I wrote. They said not their dept contact billing. Just who or what, whos job is what, is the question. We are supposed to pay, pay, pay on time when its bad, bad, bad work. Im reporting to medicare. This is why we are paying so much an why most cant afford. Do not go here. The best dr i had for 14 yrs retired. I cried because i knew this is what would happen. Save your miney an dont let a friend go here either. Will they fix THEIR problem? NO because its about the almighty $$$$

I have made appointments 3 times and had them call me to reschedule all 3 times. My job simply doesn't allow me to ask off and then rescind it at the drop of a hat so I'm out those 3 days of vacation/personal time and have nothing more to take for the year. They have no understanding of professionalism when it comes to keeping these appointments and think that a "sorry to inconvenience you" is good enough. If you're truly sorry, DON'T CHARGE ME FOR EACH VISIT I HAVE TO CHANGE BECAUSE OF YOUR INABILITY TO DO FOLLOW UPS.
