Easy access being located right on a major US HWY. it's open 24/7 and has plenty of fuel pumps. I've never had an instance where the pumps weren't working or questioned the cleanliness of their filters. This store is locally owned by a family that has deep roots in the town. Inside is always clean. There is a large selection of wines both locally sourced as well as large national suppliers. There's also a candy wall of assorted by the lb candy, an ice cream bar that serves blue bell ice cream, and other prepared lunches and snacks. There are also the usual snacks sodas and beer in the cooler. Attached to the convenience store is a Whataburger. This is a busy location and has had some growing pains but that is a separate review. The Whataburger and convenience store share a bathroom. I typically find that the bathroom could stand to have a little attention, but certainly not the worst in town. I actually drive a little out of my way to visit this location. I think it's worth it.

The gasoline prices at the Brookshires about half a mile down the road might be lower, but their pumps might shut off after a certain time at night. The convenience store also shares a building with the Whataburger in Malakoff, which I have also visited to eat in with friends or I went through the drive-thru window for takeout. There is also a doorway between the two places (the restaurant eating area & the convenience store), so you don't even need to go outside to go from one to the other (which is great in cases of colder or rainy weather!). I think the restrooms are on the Whataburger side, but I haven't actually seen them yet. I would definitely keep coming back here, since the pumps are well-kept, & so is the Whataburger eating area.

The staff is always super friendly and helpful, the shelves are stocked with literally everything I could ever need, and the whole place is clean and well-organized. Whether I'm stopping by for a quick snack, a drink, or just passing through, it always feels welcoming. I also have to give a huge shoutout to the restrooms: they are actually spotless, which is rare for most gas stations. You can tell they take pride in keeping everything clean and comfortable for customers, and that makes a big difference. Honestly, I never leave disappointed. Definitely a solid 5-star review from me. TigerMart is the place to go!! Forget Buc-ee's, TIGERMART IS WHERE ITS AT!!

For one, when I walked into the bathroom, it smelled--wait for it--NICE. It smelled clean and lovely, like a nice natural cleaner that costs extra because it won't singe your eyelashes while you're cleaning. The next thing I noticed was the Sonic inside. Y'all know Sonic normally takes three times as long as you imagine it should to fry up some frozen food and put some soda into a cup. But this Sonic? This is the fastest Sonic I have ever experienced. And the cashier was sweet. I'm pretty confused overall. Maybe we visited during some freak Twilight Zone situation. Maybe they hired new people who haven't yet sunk into desperation and boredom. I can't explain it, but I was sure to bookmark it for the next time we are coming home from Tyler and need a place for gas.

Convenience stores are typically a treasure trove for low rent demographics- you know, those that spend their entire disposable income on quick "to go" comfort items, such as: 22 oz. Dr. Pepper bottles, cigarettes, chew, bags of chips, and candy. Oh wait, don't forget the lottery tickets, and scratch offs, as well. For me, I generally only stop at joints like these to fill up my tank. I don't buy candy, lottery tickets, or other items of waste, unless it's beer, or wine. With this said, Hillbilly Hangout is a great store to stop in for a quick sixer, or bottle of vino. Seriously, who the hell would ever imagine that a gas station, in Flint, Texas, of all places, would have such an impressive selection of beer, and wine. It almost doubles as a second store. The owners were extremely rude and made the situation worse by talking to us like we were idiots. I guess he was right, since we purchased anything from their store. It's shockingly expensive…read more It's not a farmers market by any means and there's no reason they should call themselves that. The cashiers, depending on who you get, can be super rude, unhelpful and even argumentative. I still don't understand the deal with their plastic bags - are they charging for them, or giving you a credit for bringing your own bags, or what? I wish I didn't have to shop here, but Aldi doesn't sell certain vegetables that they do have here. Can't buy anything besides that though - it's just too expensive.
