Had the opportunity to use Athens Collision because Taylor, the most awesome service advisor at BullDog Kia made a call to see if they could work me in for a simple job of replacing a front Kia badge on my Telluride. Not only did Nikki say send him on over, they knocked this out in less than 15 minutes and did so at a very fair price which avoids another trip to my custom shop that changed the badges in my the first place. Not Recommended - Disappointing Experience with Serious Flaws I feel obligated to share my disappointing experience with this body shop, where I encountered a mix of satisfactory work overshadowed by serious issues. My 2004 350z, previously in good condition, was subjected to practices that left me frustrated and compelled to advise others to proceed with caution. Main Concerns: Misleading Information to Insurance: The shop lied to the insurance company about parts orders being placed, complicating the process unnecessarily right from the start. Unjustified High Quotes: Initially, the insurance assessment of $2,000 seemed reasonable. However, the shop demanded an additional $4,000 for excessive and, in my view, unnecessary procedures, risking the total loss of a vehicle over a minor accident. Specifically, they requested 2k more to remove my entire interior and check my harness mounting points?!? For a crash that likely happened at less than 10 mph in a parking lot?!? RIDICULOUS. My car is over 20 years old. This was going to total it. For a minor fender bender. The adjuster for the person who hit called me and explained and without him I would have lost my car. They also agreed on a call for me to "sign a waiver" to not do the work, which I never had to sign. Proving their BS. Inconsistent Quality of Work: While some repairs were done well (area of the hit), the decision to clear-coat over noticeable paint chips on my hood was completely unacceptable work. I can understand not painting the entire hood even though they were paid more than enough to, but to not even make some simple paint corrections in other areas when they were paid more than enough to make it right is ridiculous! See the pictures. The paint chips are clear coated over! Also, the headlight not involved in the crash was redone subpar. On walkthrough, their guy told me they buffed it down but didn't clear coat the headlight or treat it to stop future corrosion. This means it will look cloudy in two months. Again, just wow. This experience was a mix of the okay, bad, and frankly unacceptable. It's disheartening to see skilled work in some areas negated by serious lapses in others. Practices such as misleading insurance claims and choosing the easy route over quality work paint a picture of a business more concerned with profit than customer satisfaction or vehicle safety. This incident has led me to advise against using this shop, especially for owners of older vehicles who might be particularly vulnerable to these practices. Don't let them total your older car! There are likely better options available that balance quality, honesty, and value, ensuring both your vehicle and trust are well cared for. read more

Possibly the worst experience I have ever had at a business. The level of disrespect from the top leadership down was mind blowing. They had my car for 16+ weeks. Myself, Nissan, and the insurance company were all lied to throughout the whole process. I picked up the car and it was still not fixed. The communication was non existent. I had to do ALL the leg work. I would email and call for weeks with absolutely no updates. When something went wrong, they blamed it on everyone but themselves. Even a simple task could not be completed without issues. Everytime I brought something up to Kevin or Dawn they acted like it was not a big deal. Kevin will not EVER return phone calls or emails. Dawn walked past me 3 times the first time I picked up my car without speaking a word. Everytime I talked to them it was like a slap in the face. They would rather put my life at risk than to fix their issues. If they could get zero stars, I'd definitely give it. I would never wish what hell I was put through on my worst enemy. read more

Hit a deer in my 2017 Mercedes. Decided to take it to Athens Collision for repairs since they are Mercedes certified. Nikki took great care of me and my suv. She kept me posted on repairs and supplements requested from insurance. They did a great job and you cannot tell there was ever any damage. I'm very happy. read more

Terrible experience repairing my Mercedes. They had my vehicle for almost 4 months and had to keep taking it back and forth to Mercedes. They ordered the wrong parts 3 times and blamed it on technicians that were no longer there. After 4 months I got the car back where it continued to make a ticking noise as well as other computer malfunctions. They were rude, inconsiderate didn't care how long they had my car (especially since they were getting payments from insurance company along the way) but worst of all they didn't completely fix my car! read more

I had my truck repaired here and it was quick and easy. Mason did a great job facilitating everything for me and keeping me updated.

After hitting a deer with my 2017 Mercedes I called the closest dealership to see where to have it fixed. I was told this shop is approved to repair Mercedes cars. They had my car for a month to do very minimal repairs, they replaced the windshield, fender and hood. The only thing this shop cares about was how much they could charge Progressive for the repairs. They filed 4 supplements on my car. I live over an hour away and I let them know 2 days in advance when I would be picking up the car after they said it was finished. The day of pick up the insurance adjuster was there to do the 4th supplement they filed on my car. I waited for hours, they said the adjuster needed to see the car finished. After the adjuster left I went in to pick up my car. They wouldn't release it to me because they did have this last supplement paid. They would NOT give me my car. They said they had to have the payment in hand before they would give it back. So I had to pay that $1200.00 supplement to get my car back. I had no choice, I had someone bring me there to get my car. My husband is a paint rep and has owned his own body shop. So we do understand how all this works. I'm not someone that has no idea about how a car should be repaired. The only thing the shop cared about was money and how much they could charge. They did not care for me as their customer, they did not keep me updated, I had to keep calling them to find out what was going on. Very unprofessional and in my opinion greedy. The fender they replaced was not on correctly, the gaps were off and I had over spray in 3 places on my car. They turned a $2500.00 estimate in to over $8000.00 repair. Progressive was great through all of this. This was my 1st time filing a claim with them and they did an upstanding job!! I will never use this shop again. I'll take it to Atlanta Classic cars if I ever need work done again. read more
