I got a facial at the spa for 90 minutes and overall it was a great experience. The room was very comfortable. The bed was comfortable as well, and the aesthetician was very informative about all the processes she was doing for the facial. The only reason I gave this a four star was because I was looking forward to being very relaxed and just enjoying the facial and felt that the aesthetician talked quite a bit of the time which was OK. She was very nice but I have very much so like a spa treatment to be done in silence. I would go back! read more

After attending one of Jaclyns meditation workshops I decided to check out her Crystal light bed. The crystal light treatment by Jaclyn was incredible. She is truly gifted. I left feeling so reinvigorated in every aspect possible- this was so interesting as I went in planning on having a massage body & mind completely recharged. It felt like I had a massage but also so much more. ---- The only grievance I would like to raise nothing to do with service only the venu. The walls are quite thin, and when people walk through the building, speaking loudly, it can be very distracting and detracts from the experience. I hope they resolve this by reminding all who enter to use inside voices at the check-in, or adding sound proofing. read more

I had an amazing time enjoying the sauna here. I was told the wood sauna is 200 degrees and it's just transformative! The infrared saunas are in shipping containers which is just so creative! The showers are outside as is the relaxation area. Beautiful sounding wind chimes lure you off to relaxation. They are building more fountains and garden areas and I'm really excited to see what this place becomes. There are lockers with keys that are easily accessible throughout your stay. I never felt rushed to check-out after my massage and I was the only one there on a weekday, which made it extra tranquil. My massage was just ok. It was 90 minutes and I really only enjoyed about 10 minutes of it which was the foot massage. The therapist just missed the areas that needed it or pressed too hard on areas that didn't. She also incorporated some cupping without telling me she was going to do so and it was rather shocking at first and I haven't had good experiences with cupping, so I would have liked to have been informed. The room was really bright and no eye cover or eye pillow was offered. Additionally, the music played through an iPhone and just sounded awful. I'll definitely be back for the saunas and I may try another massage therapist or get a facial. The saunas her are just too amazing to not go again. I was a little bummed that when I tried to pour tea in the boutique area, there was none. I also wish I would have been given better instructions on how to get to the spa. They have a yoga studio portion, too. My maps took me to the unheated yoga studio which had no one attending it. I had to ask a guy in the parking lot where it was. He pointed out the main yoga studio. From there a nice gal who wasn't actually working the front desk, just taking a yoga class, took me through the back garden area and to the spa entrance. The spa in located on 22nd street while the yoga studio is on Seacrest. But if you just put in the Seacrest address, you'll have no idea where the spa is! Thermae retreat is a hidden treasure! The relaxing atmosphere pairs perfect for an amazing spa experience. They have hot fresh tea when you come in. They provide you with a robe to walk around in. They have many saunas and meditating rooms. After you go into the sauna, rinse off in their shower with aromatherapy shampoo and body rinse. Then head to the message room for a relaxing but effective massage. I couldn't recommend this spot more for a relaxing spa day at an affordable price point! read more

Well this was a surprise! I have lived in Delray for 10 years, so its saddens me that I just learned about this hidden oasis. I was seeking a moment of serenity for my birthday, and Thermae showed up on my Yelp search. I went in on Friday and given a tour of the facility. Immediately I knew I would come back. The energy of the space is alluring and intimate = perfect. I was able to make an appointment for the following Monday for a Cupping massage with Sauna time. Wonderful experience. Skip this studio! Terrible experience! 1. Parking is super limited! Must get there early to get a parking spot. 2. Lobby is crowded while waiting to go into class. 3. Couldn't understand or hear the teacher as the music was overpowering her voice! 4. She didn't explain one pose. I couldn't imagine beginners could follow along Here at all. 5. I have been going to Atha for a long time, since before they changed ownership. I did not know they had a spa as I had only gone to yoga there. My experience was truly amazing. The front desk person was wonderful. I wish I could remember her name to shout her out. Brook gave me my massage and it was amazing. I was half asleep and almost in a trance the whole time. This is a review of Debra Kelly and her Sacred Massage: I just had the most amazing experience!! I have had, conservatively, 200 massages in my lifetime so I am well acquainted with all levels of massage. Comparing what Debra Kelly does to massage is like comparing a feast to a sandwich. I have never experienced anything like it. It is absolute joy! She uses sound and movement and scent and breath and takes you to a whole different level of consciousness. I rose from that experience in a wholly different place. I was full of joy and my body was humming. My body was not tingling superficially...it was HUMMING and I could feel it all the way into my bones!. I awoke the next morning in the same place of humming and euphoria! Beware! This is NOT the same place that it used to be. It moved recently (After July/2019). Based on friends' recs and the reviews/photos on yelp, I asked for a gift certificate here for my birthday. However, all the reviews and pics were from before they moved to their new location. When I arrived, I found an old house and a facility without an actual changing area (though there is a small closet in the corner of the main area, with the lockers out in the public area which makes for tricky navigating). The massage rooms are in what were once bedrooms. I was able to look past the facilities and was looking forward to a massage. I booked a 90 minute custom massage. After 90 minutes of light rubbing, forced loud breathing, and many, many rounds of listening to "sound bowls" , I walked out wondering what had just happened. Turned out I was unknowingly booked with the shaman, who does not appear to be a licensed massage therapist. On the plus side, everyone there was very nice. Based off of reviews from the old facility, and before my visit, I had bought my mom a gift card here. After my experience, I called them and manager returned it back to my credit card. However, I felt that it is important for people to know what they are getting into here. It seems there is a very specific demographic who they cater to, but as someone who was looking forward to visiting a spa and getting a massage, my needs were not met. I actually feel a bit envious looking at old reviews and photos, as I get a massage once/year and feel like I missed my chance this year. read more

I absolutely love Thermae Retreat. I initially went in for a facial, massage and to use the sauna - then I discovered the energy healing sessions with Debra Kelly. The spa is unlike any other I have been to in Florida. It's an absolutely beautiful, calm, chill space. The saunas are excellent - followed by an outside shower under the mango trees. All the facial products used are 100% organic and leave my skin glowing. There is a beautiful meditation area to relax in before or after your sauna/ treatments. While all of the above is superb, the thing that truly sets Thermae apart from other luxury spas is the energy work and workshops. The full moon gatherings led by Debra Kelly (shamanic practitioner) are incredibly cleansing and empowering - and there's a lovely mix of people who show up. The private sessions I've had with Debra have been exceptionally beneficial and life changing for me. Debra incorporates breathe-work, sound, and intentions in with body work - I leave here elevated on all levels! (Thank you Debra!!!) There's also a new yoga space (I'll be traveling for a few months, I'll be sure to check out those workshops when I return). Well I'll start off by say the facility is very nice. Booked an appointment for three services- body scrub, massage, and a facial. They had one lady do my body scrub and facial and another young gentlemen do my massage. I showed up for my appointment not knowing that I needed to bring a bathing suit for the saunas (they apologized for forgetting to mention it on the phone), which resulted in me being unable to use the saunas on this visit. They did however give me a pass to come back and use the saunas at a later date. Now as far as the body scrub and facial... it wasn't the most relaxing of experiences. I found the woman performing these services to be a bit erratic and rough. There didn't seem to be any sort of routine to the service and it was quite rough. I've had body scrubs in the past that I've actually slept through. When it came time to do my facial she was unsure of which facial I had book, being my first time I didn't even remember which one I booked so she said she'd wing it. I let her know that I wanted to clear my skin. At one point in the facial she actually got product in my eye. We had to stop the facial so I could clear my eyes out because they were beginning to burn. Overall the services were a bit loud between dropping of product and slamming of the towel warming for my liking. For the massage...the young gentleman did a very nice job. I went in with some bad back pain and he used a reasonable amount of pressure and I enjoyed the massage overall very much. Would I go back? Probably not... The services didn't strike me as spectacular for spending almost $330 with tip. read more

It was my first day off from work in about 20 days, so I went to Thermae Spa! I had heard about it from my yoga teacher. She is a member there and had told me about the infrared saunas there. I made a 60 minute massage appointment... I am always skeptical about getting a massage with a new masseuse because I am so particular with that kind of stuff. Well, I do have to say I was amazed with my massage. Anthony was so detailed and made the massage so personalized and really listened to everything i needed and wanted. He was so thorough. He even went over 30 minutes without saying so and didn't charge me for it because he felt like I needed it. I was on cloud nine when I left. Also, right when I arrived the lady at the front desk, i forget her name right now, but she was so sweet and gave me a tour of their gorgeous spa. It's sooo cozy and beautifully decorated. It's not over the top and it's not fancy. It's just a perfect bohemian little house, a getaway tucked away in Delray, streets away from the bustling Ave. There is one room with gongs and singing bowls. It's soooo beautiful... I was told it's the room for shamanic sound healing and massage and I am soooo looking forward to treating myself to that one day. They have a bunch of private infrared saunas and then a cute backyard where you can shower outside under the mango trees. I want to live there. Can't wait to go back. read more

This location is so beautiful . It is nestled in the heart of Delray Beach near the shops and restaurants . I wanted to wait for the right day to go in and and get a massage and detox for the day . I finally called and was guided by Shamiah ( sorry if i spelled wrong ) she helped make arrangements for me to have a massage and to use the saunas, we connected right away over the phone and i couldn't wait to meet her , she checked me in and gave me A tour of the space . Everything was impeccable and i couldn't wait to get started on the saunas . They have A Finnish sauna and infrared saunas , if you don't know the benefits please look them up , there's too much to tell . I am A massage therapist and use it for relaxation and to help w joint pain and detox . Shamiah was hands on making sure i had everything i needed , they provide A locker , robe , slippers and towels . She explained the benefits of the Finnish sauna and infrared and i disconnected my phone and got right to it . There's also an outdoor shower that was so nicely done w wind chimes and sea salt to scrub yourself . Once done w the shower I had tea and waited for my massage therapist Lacey to pick me up in the relaxation room . She was the sweetest ! I loved her technique and her vibe . She was very attentive and had great intention and took good care of me . Thanks Lacey ! You're A bad ass !! I recommend this place , they have great member packages and really good therapist . I would have loved to give this spa 5 stars. I cannot even give it 3 due to the customer service at the front desk. I have been there once & experienced a rude, abrasive & hostile attitude for no apparent reason that I can ascertain. It ended up ok because I made it quite clear that this was not acceptable & the attitude changed. I decided to give it another try because the facility is quite lovely & the treatment done by Debra was loving, well done & the treatment room was awesome, if not a bit overdone. On the day of my second appointment, a downpour with thunder and lightening was happening. As I had a bit of a drive, I thought it better & safer for me to reschedule to later in the week. I called to do this & once again received an unbelievably hostile response with the words "your canceling because of the rain?" "We have a 24 hr cancellation policy and you can't cancel." This was quite a shock as if a severe weather event is not reason enough to reschedule, then the owners need to rethink their "policy." A business like this does not merit further further use from me. As I get massages on a regular basis, it is their financial loss. I would add that their rates are far above the standard rates for similar services. I would not recommend this business based on poor customer service & inappropriate communication skills at the front desk. read more
