This bar is right in the corner of Plac Nowy. I've been there a few times for language meetings and have always enjoyed my time there. There is table service and prices are neither cheap nor too expensive. What is good value though is spring water, which is something ludicrously cheap like one zloty.
There is a range of various types of food available, including paninis and various pasta dishes. The food I've tried has been really tasty and very reasonably priced. I've had pasta with swiss ham and sun-dried tomatoes a few times. Another favourite of mine is the so-called "mini pavlova". In fact this there is nothing mini about it at all. With meringue, peanut butter and mascarpone cream cheese it really a revelation. I dread to think how many calories it has in it though.
On the down side the wait can be very variable. Personally I have been served very quickly, but some of my friends who have been there at the same time as me (and sometimes eating the same dish, but a little later in the evening) have had to wait what seems like an hour for their food. read more
