We kinda just came for drinks and a app. I suggest making reservations as this place is busy!! Luckily we got seated pretty much after we got there as we had a reservation. They have some outdoor seating but lots inside. Cool, noisy vibe . This is one of the places your told to go when looking up bars and restaurants in Krakow. So maybe a but touristy too. Our group had a G&T, Prosecco , French 75 and a Negroni. All made well but did take awhile to come out. We also ordered some carbs ! Fries and their traditional mushroom Zapikanki, which translates to mushroom casserole. Even though it comes on bread! This is delicious ! Creamy buttery mushrooms with cheese and greens in top. Yum. Nice thick cut fries too. Glad we checked this place out. It was a little loud and the device a little slow. Definitely a happening place though !

Also there's a secret hall downstairs. I really enjoyed this place, visited it at least 3 times during my short stay in the town. Also, they have some social events on the top floor. Great people work there. I love this place and definitely recommend it!

We chose the full tasting menu with wine pairing, excited to experience what is considered one of the finest culinary destinations in the country. Each course was beautifully presented and packed with incredibly rich flavors, and the wine pairings were thoughtfully selected to complement the dishes. The overall service was warm and professional, although there were a few minor lapses, such as having to ask twice for a water refill. While we are grateful for the opportunity to dine at Poland's only two-Michelin-star restaurant, the experience did not quite meet the expectations we've come to have from other two-star Michelin establishments around the world. It was certainly a memorable evening, but one that left us appreciating the accomplishment more than being truly impressed by the meal itself. Still, it feels special to have checked this remarkable restaurant off our culinary travel list.

Food: some dishes lacked flavor, but some were excellent. They incorporated some polish culture into the foods but I wish a little more was incorporated. We did the wine pairing as well which was okay (not as great as the Italian wine pairing at the 3 star). Alcohol: Negroni was very good. Ambiance: cool, rustic. We sat by the kitchen which was cool to watch the dishes come out. Service: attentive, but not as great as the 3 star. Did a good job explaining the dishes.

This now well known hipster hood is blowing up with restaurants. Duźy Pokój is the corner restaurant with the great fortune of having ample seating inside and outside on the patio. A new place that wasn't on Yelp, I chose to check it out after another recommendation fell through. This well lit, intimate dining spot had a wide variety of menu items. From borscht to mussels, to venison. We had a real difficulty deciding how to pair the food and drink. So many options. Choosing a nice port it was easy to just roll on from there. The chosen appetizers were seafood, the prawns well preserved with little odor came to our table and were pretty much devoured on sight. I had one tail to head, sucking out the juices trying not to splatter. Little slices of garlic bread made it even better. The three color pasta dish was flavorful and cheesy. A big bowl of pasta with a little kick. It was a hit at our table. The small bowl of bouillabaisse made it to our table reminding us of a "caldo de siete mares." Full of little creatures and pieces of fish it was great on the palate. Red sauce with a some more port was delectable. Finally, the venison steak accompanied by barley, beet and fresh oiled greens, and cranberry reduction sauce was amazing! Pepper corns kept popping in my mouth the rest of the night. Not too gamey, but well seasoned it fell apart in my mouth. This little place deserves honorable mention after preparing such well prepared meals. The circus leaves it great for small groups, but the waitstaff was very courteous. English could have been better, but hey you're in Poland. C'mon get with the program non-multilingual foreigners, lol! Overall, a great place to have an intimate dinner and drink in the heart of the Jewish district.

Really well-chosen ingredients and a just perfectly-cooked piece of fish. I'm sorry I don't have more information about the place, but if you can base an opinion of a whole restaurant on one piece of fish (wait, no, two identical pieces of fish consumed with great pleasure two days apart!) then it's a good and trustworthy place.

I stopped in based on online reviews and reviewing their menu outside. My lunch experience definitely did not disappoint! Bread came our fresh and piping hot which was perfect for a chilly day. I was tempted on the tasting menu, but knew I wasn't hungry enough to enjoy it. Instead I ordered two specials: the Polish Rye soup with quail eggs and chicken livers over toast. The soup was absolutely delicious, as were the chicken livers. The service was fantastic. I hope to see Appertif in more reviews in the future, as it is certainly deserving.

It has a Mediterranean-like feel in terms of the interior and this is also reflected in the seasonal menu that keeps changing from time to time. What I appreciate about this place is that I always feel very welcome and taken good care of while dining. The staff are professional and eager to help and communicating in English is not a problem. Aperitif is also an excellent place to organise larger dinner parties (i.e. for 60 people if even more!?) For such occasions they compose really nice menus with a few choices for each course which eases the speed at which everyone makes their order. Everyone wins! The chocolate fondant is an absolute hit by the way- this alone is worth the visit!
