    Polish Delicacy

The food is very good here. Atmosphere upstairs is one STP up from a cafeteria (not a complement), first four and outside are more cozy. We had the steak tartare which was presented well with the meat on the blander side. The relish, garlic and other toppings you could choose from made up for it though. The Traditional Polish soup had excellent flavoring. The mudroom soup was OK. Both were served in an interesting bread bowl. The Polish Delicacy (fried pork chop with fried cabbage and fried potatoes) was almost as good as grandma made (with the exception of the flavorless fried potatoes. Definitely substitute something in place of them - yuck). Luckily I also ordered a side of the cucumber and sour cream salad, which was seasoned perfectly. The meat stuffed dumplings were also OK, as the dough was a bit underdone and slightly gooey. Filling made up for it or smothering them in the side of fried beet root was a fun way to disguise the dumpling. The strawberry bride's cup dessert was super yummy and beat out the hot cheesecake which needed more chocolate sauce. Overall if you're looking for atmosphere, go to Ogniem i Mieczem instead (even though the food there is not as good).

Very good well done Polish food! I started with traditional sour soup. It was very sour and flavorful. The bread had a nice chewy texture. The main course was duck with fresh applesauce. It was perfectly cooked. My side was potato dumplings that were so tender. I liked the use of dill as the garnish. It gave the potato a very authentic and surprise of flavor. The outside seating with the heat lamps was great and really nice at Xmas

Highly recommend! Beautiful and traditionsl Polish restaurant in the heart of Kraków, along the main square. Relax and enjoy the view while waiting for your meal to arrive. The staff was very nice and gave you dpace to enjoy your meal, the view, and the Polish charm. The menu is extensive. I recommend trying some of the traditional Polish dishes. These are highlighted in the menu. Will def. go back on my next visit!

First night in Krakow and loved the food at this spot in the City Square. I had the Trout and it was fantastic!

We enjoyed our soup, but the beef goulash over potato pancakes was over salted, the ribs entree sounded amazing but they were dry and not tender, even tasted a bit gamey. Fried cabbage just so so and same for potato dumplings . Our server was not attentive at all and seemed uninterested in helping us with questions and choices . We saw bread on other tables and had to ask for some as she certainly did not bring it on her own initiative.

This place is terrific. We had a large group, and the general consensus of the group is that this restaurant rocked. The food was traditional Polish cuisine, and it was amazing. The service was terrific. I was only a little lukewarm on the cheesecake dessert. Will certainly be back.

It was an okay place. So many better ones in the area. Also, worst Pierogies ever! Beer root was too sweet, but bigos was nice. I'm sure the other meals make up for it, but I came for some traditional fun. Didn't happen.

Interior of restaurant is quiet relaxing and cozy.

There were two rooms and I sat in the long one (the ceiling arc reminded me of a tunnel for some reason) with the duck mural. The menu contained lots of Polish dishes and a dedicated duck section. A duck and pickles appetizer was served gratis. It spread easily on the accompanying slices of bread and was nice. I've not had duck presented like this before and when I piled a couple of the smaller pickle pieces on top the tartness added more complexity for the flavors. I'd order this if it was on their menu. Zurek soup tasted a little tangy and was filled with sausage, mushroom, potatoes plus a whole egg and was delicious. I wasn't sure what to expect but all the different ingredients made for an enjoyable bowl. The bread bowl also contributed by thickening the soup as it abosrbed the broth. The duck breast with smoked plum sauce was thick, cooked medium and very tender. There was a little too much sauce for me but I liked the different taste. The side of glazed carrots and peas had a hint of sweetness and completed the dish along with the potato gnocchi. Service overall was good and efficient. Would return.

I am from the United States so I can honestly say these were the best pierogi I've ever had (and my grandparents made great pierogi!) The service was attentive and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We dined around 4pm so we were seated right away but we were told that the other side of the restaurant was already booked for reservations starting at 5. I suggest making a reservation if you plan on dining at a typical dinner time. This was also on a Tuesday so I imagine they are quite busy throughout the week as well.

When we visited around noon, there were only two parties ahead of us, so the wait wasn't bad at all. We ordered the daily special, a chicken cordon bleu served with potatoes and a side of vegetables that tasted a bit like coleslaw. We also tried two kinds of fried pierogi: spinach and feta, and pickled cabbage with white mushrooms. It was my first time trying pierogi, and I really enjoyed them. They reminded me of dumplings, but were served with sour cream on the side, which added a nice touch. Ordering was very straightforward. You simply place your order at the counter, and the staff will bring the food to your table. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous.

The decor of this milk bar was by far the most inviting of the ones I've seen or visited on this trip. While outside checkout the cool cow models below the windows which were enclosed with the exterior lighting. Inside was full of greenery and bright. Even the menu stood out with the colorful handwritten blackboard. Staff were very friendly. I grabbed an open seat and shared a table with three others. Staff came over to deliver my utensils and quickly highlight the menu. I walked up to the counter to place my order and pay. I decided to get the daily special and deviated from the Polish cuisine I've been eating the whole time here. The mushroom soup was big and delicious with a strong mushroom flavor. The chicken curry was meaty and tasty sauce with fluffy basmati rice. Well worth visiting and I can see why this place was busy all day. .

The cheese plate and tartare were not accompanied with any bread or crackers. The cheese selection was boring in my opinion. The queens jam is not my thing. The stake tartare was so good. The goose liver pate was delicate, without too much of the earthy aroma that sometimes pate can have. The cranberry gelee offset the richness of the pate. I suggest you order bread on the side, to ensure you have enough to spread it on. The roast duck was meaty yet tender and moist. It appears they slow cooked it, very much to perfection. It had a nice crispy exterior, and not too much fat. I had their pan fried beets on the side, and they were smooth and delicate, without over being overpowering.
