The server was very friendly and helpful and because our airbnb was across the road, we saw the server several times when we were out and about and he recognized us and said hello. I enjoyed the art on the walls and got a kick out of the picture of Samuel L. Jackson eating a burger (Royale with Cheese anyone?). I ordered the Harissa Lamb burger which was absolutely magnificent and I love the complex combination of flavors with the sliced pickled beets. Wow! My husband got the classic burger. Both were rather large and we cut them in half to make them easier to eat. They have really nice fresh french fries and I had them with the beer cheese sauce and truffle mayo. Hubba hubba! On my last night in Krakow I was craving a burger and I read and heard this is one of the better burger joints in town. I could have definitely done McDonald's but why not try a place that is local and known for burgers. So I got the Bacon Cheddar Burger. It was good. Not the best burger ever. But still good. I don't expect burgers here in Poland to taste like burgers from the US. It's going to be different quality of beef. Now...I don't know what other reviewers are talking about saying this burger is huge and if you get a whole burger don't bother with fries it's too much food. Really? I ate the entire burger and fries no problem lol. Even the cashier who took my order said oh it's a lot of food! I don't know...Maybe us Americans are truly fat and just eat much bigger portions than the rest of the world because I finished by burger and fries no problem. Honestly I could have eaten another one if I wanted to. So unless your a small eater you can finish a burger and fries. Their large is like our medium in the States. But glad I came here tonight. Recommended by friends and the hostel receptionist, Moaburger is a New Zealand-inspired restaurant that serves, you name it, burgers. I actually went twice while staying in Krakow, just because it was that good! Portions were large and hearty, with the meat patty cooked perfectly and the sauces savory and divine. You can get really full just from the burger itself- it's just that big! I ordered the Chicken Burger and the Surf n' Turf- both were great. Only thing was that I wasn't a huge fan of the buns, which were a bit too soft and weren't sturdy enough to contain all of the contents inside of them. Other than that, delicious! As for prices, they were a bit more expensive than traditional Polish restaurants in town (especially the milk bars), but it's still very affordable and with the portion sizes that massive, it's a pretty good deal! This place is usually quite crowded, probably because of its close proximity to the main square. You order at the counter and then find a seat at one of the communal style tables. They will give you a numbered wooden spoon and will bring you your food when it's ready. These burgers are MASSIVE. I made the mistake of ordering my own burger when I should have split it. It appears as though all burgers are served medium rare, not sure if you can request them to be cooked well done. The burgers are priced between 18 and 27 zloty. It definitely wasn't the best burger I've ever had (especially because the bottom buns were burnt) but it was okay. And the fries were okay - nothing special, but I liked the garlic sauce. We waited about 25 minutes for our food, which to be fair, the cashier had warned us it would take a while, so no complaints there. read more

I wanted to like this place. I have heard great things about it, and it is always crowded (creating the love it or hate it communal bench seating). There was a big selection of burgers, but I just went for the classic cheeseburger. As stated many times before, the burgers are as big as your head and so a good value. The beef was at the same standard as other burger joints in town. My issue was the bread- a crispy wheaty toasted just on the outside bun that cuts the roof of your mouth and gets soggy on the inside. I ended up tearing off the bread about halfway though- it was just messy and all the wrong textures. It's like the bread was just put in the broiler...and my opinion is the inside of the bun should be toasted, not the outside you bite into. I am a bit of a burger purist, though. Yum! Yum! Yum! Definitely one of the top places if you are looking for some gourmet burgers. They have raised the 'burger standards' in Kraków. The menu is wide and portions are freaking huge.
