A nice surprise. I arrived at Atala Physical Therapy with some degree of cynicism. My neck and back pain was pretty severe and I thought I would give PT a try. Atala has been nothing but the best for me. I play club lacrosse so my body is always banged up, but because of Jason and the rest of the team at Atala they always made me feel good again. Before I came to Atala, I was terrified to walk around without my ankle brace on and my walking boot in my car just to be safe. I am recovering from an ankle tendon tear and my past experience at other physical therapists had left me in a boot for a much longer time than anticipated. I came into Atala and was greeted by Brenda who is so kind and patient! Ilseong is a new addition to the Atala team but you wouldn't know that. He is an amazing physical therapist and I walked out of my first appointment feeling more confident about my ankle than I had in over 3 months. Not to mention, my pain levels are at an all-time low!! (I am seriously so excited about it) I walked out of the office without my brace and have not put it back on since! I don't recommend places unless I fully believe in them and this is by far the best PT group you can go to. read more

Atala PT is the best and helped me rehab and return to full function. Terri is orthopedically certified and knows her stuff I am a retired PT and have referred multiple friends to her for their orthopedic problems and all rave about her. I visited Atala for rehabing an injury to my heel from rock climbing. I was referred by my mom who has had great progress with getting more active during her pain management. Lexi at the front desk was very attentive to me and the other patients waiting for their appointments. Regardless of the other 3 patients in the waiting area, I was called back promptly for my 3pm appointment. Terri assessed that my heel didn't have any fractures (thankfully) and prescribed a treatment plan that had my heel feeling 95% recovered within 4 days of our appointment after 2 weeks of little progress on my own. I will definitely be returning for a follow up and preventative therapy to avoid injury in the future. Oh, and Jason gave me an ultrasound treatment on my heel which I personally believe caused the speedy recovery. read more

This is the worst PT place you can ever visit . I used them based on review and also my insurance ( workers comp ) sent me there . Very unprofessional staff , the billing dept. will call you 16 times a day if they couldn't collect from the from the carrier . There is a very profesionnaly Rude lady with the name ALICE , ALICE will sound nice at first ( billing ) but if things didn't go her way she will turn ruded on you. I have been to several physical therapy locations over the years. None of them are even close to the care, professionalism, and knowledge as the people working here. I am so overwhelmingly impressed with the entire team at Atala Physical Therapy. I was first referred to Atala 2 years ago after I had surgery for a complex tear of my meniscus. It was key that I return to my prior level of function as I was scheduled for a total hip replacement (THR) 6 weeks later. The THR was planned, the knee injury was not. I have always been into fitness; running, gym work, cycling, and in the recent years, hiking. As a result of my activity, I was no stranger to injuries and recovery. However, being in my late 50's made recovery a bit more challenging and I was nervous about PT; that is until I was introduced to Terri. Terri is the owner of Atala and she was amazing! She was kind, considerate, at times tough, and always left me feeling better (both physically AND emotionally) when I left a session. She included deep massage of the surrounding muscles and tissues combined with tension-releasing moves, all the while focusing on joint strengthening. Jay, the Exercise Specialist, would apply moist heat and ultrasound and would coach me on specific exercises targeted to my particular problems and weak areas. Six weeks later I had my THR during which I suffered a fractured femur. I was forced to use a walker as I was non-weight-bearing for several weeks. My leg muscles had atrophied to a point where I didn't recognize them. The staff at Atala got me through some difficult moments in my recovery, by always focusing on what I could do and by helping me set both short-term and long-term goals. As I reached each milestone, they were there to celebrate with me! They were always encouraging and kind; and I am not just speaking about the PT's and Exercise Specialist. Lexi, the Patient Coordinator/Clinic Manager and the face of Atala, because she was the first person you met; was absolutely one of the most cheerful and welcoming souls I have ever met. I absolutely lucked out when I picked the Atala team to work with and am so grateful for the knowledge, professionalism, care and understanding that each person brings to their practice. I absolutely recommend Atala to everyone. I have referred both my sons after they suffered soccer injuries to their knees, my husband after he broke his back and my 89-year-old mother after her THR. Terry is amazing!!! Actually, everyone at Atala is. I torn my meniscus and ended up having surgery. I was sent to physical therapy at the Naval Hosp. Let me just tell you, Naval PT is an absolute joke!!! Anyhow, after getting horrible treatment at the Naval Hosp and not feeling any better, a friend suggested I should see Terri. From the first visit, I knew I was in good hands. She's so gentle and thorough. She didn't just address my knee, she addressed my whole body. It's been 9 months since my surgery. She got me on the right track and I actually hiked in Yosemite last week!!! I couldn't have done it without Terri and her team. Her and Jason are a great team. And Lexi, we can't forget Lexi!!
