We visited 4 restaurants and two shops along our walking tour. (Note: where comfortable shoes - doesn't need to be sneakers, but should be comfy) When two people in our group were unable to make it, Bill was great and said they could just reschedule without any penalty. The restaurants they chose were delicious and hospitable. Each food item was accompanied by a small pour of wine, cocktail, or beer. Additionally, each food item was not only delicious, but presented by someone (most of the time, the chef) who really knew their food and was willing to answer our questions, including how to mimic the preparation at home. I truly want to come take cooking classes with many of these chefs. Rarely, am I able to get the answer of why something I was making wasn't working, but the chefs of the restaurants Bill takes you to are willing to help you out! Everyone associated with the tour truly presented to me as genuine people who love their town. The bits of history about Easton as we walked also helped to enhance our tour. This walking tour is must do when spending time in Easton. They did an amazing job of selling their town and making me want to return, possibly to even take this tour again.

We enjoyed everything from a mixed wild mushroom and crab risotto at Town Dock to chef inspired "kit kat" bar dessert at the Inn at Perry Cabin. Book in advance. Holy Smoke & Fuego! A highly recommended incredibly romantic and delicious experience!…read more We missed a class in November and had a credit pending so we waited 9 months for a similar class to come up and this was it. Saturday August 4th - Raspberry vinaigrette salad, Lamp lollipops, Asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, Lobster tail and mushroom risotto. I had to have it. They made drinks, appetizers and dessert pre prepped for us. Our main instructor Chef Christina was incredibly sarcastic and witty. There was a couple that was annoying AF (but this is Atlantic City what can you expect) so she had to continuously say, "if you're still LISTENING." I'm sure it gets frustrating for a professional team so if you're signing up for a COOKING CLASS be sure you're ready to LEARN to cook. Ignore the momo's. Chef Vincenzo is straight out of Italy and will teach you right at your table if you're not prepping properly which I enjoyed incredibly so be sure to make some mistakes! The class was so much fun and the food was delicious. They gave us a packet with all of the recipes and we got to keep the aprons. Can't wait to come back!

If you are a group of two, you will be placed with another group of two. Groups of four were together. This gave us a chance to chat and get to know another couple which was really cool. There is a welcome cocktail, but besides that only wine with dinner as a safety precaution - fire, sharp knives and intoxication probably don't go so well together. As we entered the kitchen, we were welcomed with a cocktail and a pre made app to munch on (think crackers and a home made dip or bruschetta) then we went over the menu and started prepping. Everyone was SO nice. Any questions or curiosity's were answered. Great sense of humor, we laughed and joked through out the whole evening. Only criticism I have, would be them having a bit more ingredients to work with. For instance the app was a pepper salad, so there were two peppers for the four of us. Shallots were called for in our smoked mushroom bisque and there was only one shallot. We worked it out well because we became friends with our partnered couple - but I could see this being harder if people or couples prefer to work to themselves. Overall the experience was out of this world. Something that I rave about to everyone.l and can't wait to try again. They also mentioned that they do private party's of groups 12-16! This would be a blast with a group.

Unfortunately, a lot. This was our first time coming to a…read moredemo class and we were very disappointed. We came for the paella. We were looking forward to seeing how it is authentically made. First thing was... No paella pan! Really? Apparently it went on vacation with the Chef. Shame on her. If you have a class coming for paella, you get another paella pan. These classes are not inexpensive. As far as authenticity went, the chef went off script on several different steps we were looking for authentic and we got impromptu. I felt very bad for the Chef who was doing the demo. He was really trying to do a great job considering the circumstances. I do not hold him accountable. Except for maybe the dessert, which was sickening sweet. Could not take more than two bites That being said, we had a lovely time lovely people. The staff was very friendly. We just simply did not get what we paid for.

Disappointing Experience - Not Worth the Price…read more I was really looking forward to the Asian Dumplings Cooking Class, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. The class started over 30 minutes late and ran long, which caused me to be late for my next commitment. More importantly, it wasn't truly a cooking class; it was a demonstration. Most of us simply watched, while a few lucky participants were invited to roll and seal one dumpling each. There was no hands-on learning, no guidance, and no opportunity to build skills. To make matters worse, I was seated near the back, where I couldn't see the main table well. The viewing monitor wasn't zoomed in enough to be helpful, and loud conversations around me made it hard to hear the instructor. Reserved seating was allowed, so although I arrived early, I was unable to sit in several empty front-row seats because they were being held for friends who arrived much later. The food itself was underwhelming and bland, lacking in authentic flavor, and not worth the wait. Two of the dumpling varieties used store-bought wrappers, and portions were small. The sauces were forgettable, and the pace of serving was slow, leaving us with lots of waiting and very little to enjoy. We weren't even given recipes to take home, which, after tasting the food, I wasn't too disappointed about. At $100 per ticket, I expected an interactive, educational experience with quality food and better organization. Unfortunately, I left without learning any new skills, still hungry, and feeling like I wasted both time and money. I would not recommend this class. On a good note the staff were very friendly and accommodating, but I won't be back.

Tucked away on Old Lancaster Pike in Hockessin, Delaware is Chef's Haven, a small gourmet prepared…read morefood shop where Chef Mark has been teaching the local populace how to make really great food for the last 20 years!!! In the rear of the shop, past the fine cheeses, freshly baked baguettes, and clam chowder that is to die for, Chef Mark has a small kitchen area and raised settings for 10 lucky people to sit, watch and learn as Chef Mark and his Sous Chef Ethan prepare a themed menu upon which the class participants get to enjoy. And enjoy is truly an understatement!!!! I've taken three of the classes and have booked three more. My first class was Italian steak which began with a hearty white bean, escarole, and sausage soup, followed by a fresh and balanced panzanella salad, which the class dined happily on while Chef Mark prepared the main event. It was a 2+ inch thick steak topped with Gorgonzola cheese and a caramelized onion sauce. The taste, size, and quality of this steak was not to be believed!!! Chef Mark must have some deep connection to the Beef Gods themselves. In short, a magnificent meal where I met some very nice people, learned a lot from Chef Mark who is low key but very personable and full of entertaining stories of his life and career as a chef including tips on buying quality, healthy, ingredients!! My last class was a Greek themed class. It began with a tasty starter of slices of his fantastic, and freshly made baguettes and a dipping sauce of whipped feta, topped with finely diced green onion, garlic, and sundried tomato!! The Chef does not play when he is tempting your taste buds. It was delicious!!! This was followed by a Greek Lemon Chicken Soup which tasted so fresh, clean, and healthy, I designated it as the first new recipe I will try and make myself. The chicken, carrots, and soft rice in a yummy lemon tinged chicken stock was pure heaven!!! And if I hadn't already had a fork stuck in me, I'm done feeling the main course is ready!! 2 inch thick lamb chops sourced from the Greek Gods themselves, over crispy, browned roasted potatoes which were also covered with the pan drippings!!! Just kill me now so I can die a happy man!!! Or maybe just wait till after dessert!!! Once again, a fantastic meal taught simply by a fantastic Chef, and Sous Chef and enjoyed completely by a nice group of people who wanted to learn and expand their culinary horizons. Chef Mark and Sous Chef Ethan without a doubt nourished our minds and even more importantly our bellies!!! Take a class and savor the experience!!!!
