This is now my permanent nail salon! I've been coming here for almost two years now after the service at my previous salon declined while prices increased. The service at At Nails is consistently stellar. My mani and pedi always looks fabulous and lasts for weeks. Stephen is still my guy. He is meticulous. He knows that I like my nails short and square, and I don't want cuticles cut, and incorporates that into my manicure without me needing to remind him. Also like that we have a nice greeting and catch up, but never feel the need for obligatory conversation. I consider my manicure and pedi as relaxation time, and for me, that means silence. When Stephen has been out, Don and the woman have done my nails with expert precision and results. I LOVE AT NAILS!!! They are always so kind, accommodating, and professional. Incredibly sanitary as well. I went in on a week day to get some cute valentines nails (nude dip powder with gel nail polish design), brought them an inspo pic with a few personal tweaks and they went above and beyond. The shape is perfection from a top view and side profile- all angles really. I was supposed to meet my friend there for a pedi after my nails, and while they ran out of time for my pedi (they are super detail oriented and perfectionistic, so they can take a bit longer than you might expect) they did stay 20 minutes past closing to finish up my nails and get my friends pedi done right. My toenails due to working out and shoes and etc needed help and Lily got to work and made them look so nice and fixed a few issues I was self conscious about . The person doing my pedicure was sick and sniffling and wasn't wearing a mask. I felt very uncomfortable because they were sniffling all over me and unable to wipe their nose while doing my nails so their nose was just running and dripping down the whole time.... it was disgusting. At one point it dripped into the water. I couldn't really relax because of that so it was not an enjoyable experience at all. I came to relax but I was uncomfortable the whole time. My daughter went to get her nails done today and I talked with the main person to negotiate a price. The main person said it would be 50 which we agreed to. After I left in the middle of my daughter getting her nails done the person that was doing her nails said I know I told your mom it was 50.00 but it's 55.00. Within 2 days my nails looked terrible!!! Chipped, discolored and didn't look like they had just been done. I called and asked for them to be fixed or my money refunded and the lady on the phone argued with me saying that's what I asked for. I have been getting my nails done for 15 years... I know I don't want white painted tips. I am a working mom who is always doing dishes, typing, etc and painted white always looks terrible. Uneven filing on nails, cuticles cut poorly, skin jagged, small thickened skin on toes not exfoliated, nails not cleaned out underneath them. Didn't want to continue the poor results. Tammy was amazing! Aside from having to wait with an appointment. I don't find that uncommon at nail salons so I'm still giving five stars. Tammy was so nice and did an amazing job. I showed her a picture for the shape since I wanted a "coffin" and didn't want it to be confused. The shaping looks better than the photo I showed her! I was so pleased with the end product and the service in general. She then proceeded to tell me (in a very soft spoken voice) that she would gladly take an appointment outside their business hours and has no problem staying until 9pm for a customer or opening early. I came here with my mom to get our nails done before my wedding. We made an appointment and they were ready and waiting for us when we arrived 5 minutes early. The salon is light, bright, and absolutely spotless clean- no tools or products left out on manicure desks. Tools were sanitized before and after they used them on us (I always make sure to look for that). The two gentlemen who did our nails were very thorough. They helped us choose colors to match our respective dresses and even re-did my mom's toe color (at no extra cost) when we decided that one shade darker would work better. We kept our buffer and file ($1) and were asked to bring it back for the next visit to use again. Prices are pretty typical for a good quality mani/pedi. I was especially impressed by the nail tech's attention to detail. Every tiny piece of nail or cuticle was perfectly trimmed and even after my nails were painted, he went back to fix one spot on my cuticle that was missed. The hand and leg massage is so relaxing, and this was the first time I had a paraffin wax treatment- amazing! Before we left we were asked if we were satisfied and if anything needed touch up. We were very satisfied and we will definitely be back! I should also note that this was my mom's first time ever having a mani/pedi and she said it was a wonderful first experience. read more

This is the most excellent nail spot in SE Portland. The customer service and setting is the cleanest and nicest I have experienced in years. The owner stayed an hour late to do my nails, she was exceptionally friendly and sweet. It's located right across (in the same complex) as 24 hour fitness off Milwaukie. The salon is immaculately clean and smells amazing, "no chemical smell" Tami is the owner and she will do an amazing job on your nails and is probably the nicest woman you'll meet! After months of getting acrylics at another nail salon my nails and the skin beneath my nails was absolutely ruined. I came to At Nails a couple months ago and they took immediate notice, and made a plan with me to bring them back to health. I started off with a regular manicure to let my nails breathe. As any normal nail polish it lasted about a week, but that's to be expected. Since then, I have been getting beautiful Shellac manis every two weeks, and my nails are growing full and strong again, finally gaining some natural length. I am especially impressed with their attention to detail, the cleanliness of their tools and the salon, as well as their friendly demeanor.
